Gjugg's main purpose of your things like endless, where your going to get a lot of money for the long run, using gjugg for something like expert is viable for sure, but your still better off using other towers
i think in my opinion the main problem with it is its raw versatlitity. Unless elite and expert reworks lead to laser resistance becoming more common in non-endless modes, it more has to do with the fact that laser type damage has little to no counters outside of endless mode. combine that with hidden detection on both paths, stun immunity, high range, and a humongous HP pool and you get an absolute uncounterable beast of a tower in anything that isnt endless. I will say, this issue is more prevalent with gold ranger, as that can be used in all areas of the game compared to the gjugg which is more late game+has more expensive HD. If i was to rework the tower, I would make the ability be a bottom path exclusive, like the stun immunity on regular juggernaut, and make the top path gain hd at lvl 4 rather than 3. Versatility pre-endless used to be a very important stat, leading to towers like laser gunner, which was EASILY the most versatile tower becoming the most plentifully used, but now every tower just has way too much. In my ideal balancing scenario, the benefit of a golden tower is that you get a similar CE in less space, and because of the higher price it is more space efficient for endless mode. It should NOT outright replace the tower, as laser resistance should always face light pushback by the main modes, through very frequent, but weak, laser resistance being dotted around the mode. Early game endless does this perfectly, a good 1/2 of those enemies have laser resistance, but only around the 10-25% range. If this was applied to main modes i think gold towers would be a lot better balanced, giving up specific damage types to counter specific enemies for a more "jack of all trades, master of none" approach. Sentry also needs a nerf to its versatility, i suggest just making top path a little stronger and a bit more expensive, as its main balancing issue is that you can VERY cheaply unlock stealth detection and ignore armour which kinda sorta invalidates the need for EG tower versatility. TLDR: powercreep does affect gjug, but not as much as how it affects towers like the gold mine layer, gold ranger and ghost. With slight tweaks to pre-endless modes and a few light nerfs to the gold towers mainly in terms of versatility, they could become better balanced. I think people are afraid to suggest nerfs to these strong towers, as people tend to view nerfs as a bad thing, destroying strategies and fun to use towers. However, i argue, that if done correctly, a nerf can make a tower a lot MORE fun to use, as it encourages unique pairings with other towers, along with mixing and matching different ideas and combos you would've NEVER used before. Adding variety to the meta is exactly what a good nerf should do, and i believe slight nerfs to versatility are the best ways to do this.

i think g jugg should be rebalanced a bit different. Top path should be cheaper and have the ability and keep hd at 3-x, meanwhile bottom path should be a little nerfed, like hd on x-4 and a little bit decreased dps x-3 and x-4 lvl, i think it will make top path more useful as a start def. Most people dont value cheaper path, thinking that its bad because less dps. And about g ranger, yeah, he's too op in my opinion, and you dont even need other early def towers like ghost or slammer, i think that "ignore laster resistance should move from top path to bottom, and also decrease overall dps a little bit and make bottom path ability grenade to have much longer stun, i think like 3-5 seconds, but make x-5 upgrade expensive, or increase ability cooldown.

Another thing to note about g jug, if you think abt it then g jug is the only late game dps tower that needs buffs. Heli can’t be buffed, xwm can’t, and warship can’t either. So g jug is the only one that can be buffed and that at least makes it somewhat more difficult to use.
It’s also the only one of these with no splash (aside from 1 pierce on top path). It’s impossible to use gjugg by itself on expert even lategame without running into issues that another tower needs to resolve because the hordes are so large and multiplied on top of that so towers with good splash are required Endless it’s not really as much of an issue as in lategame endless the only huge hordes that spawn are calamity’s spawn and there is a bigger focus on few, tanky enemies

juggernaut is still a very good tower, i mean with a buff it can reach 1000 dps and it is a very good choice if you are a beginner/medium player considering its cost that is 13250. i got it as my fifth tower btw

My honest opinion, the people who say gjugg breaks the game are mad they don’t have him. I barely ever use him for anything but grinding like expert, he is not necessary or broken, he’s 85k in the shop, he’s got ups and downs, he is balanced.

@@okgoose3305 First off all, try using XWM on expert instead of rail for expert, second in the TB event try using laser instead of operator (I know it's gone) and third try using slammer to stun a longer path of enemies instead of stunning them once, fourth the most recent bladeworks strat has shotgunner as a necessary part, fifth try using extremely expensive "powercreep" towers on short maps. This isn't a powercreep issue, the point is that some towers will be better for certain modes and starts. Your only valid argument here is G ranger dominating laser gunner which I will concede, but even then Laser gunner is still helluva a lot more cost efficient for its top path.

@@okgoose3305 First off all, try using XWM on expert instead of rail for expert, second in the TB event try using laser instead of operator (I know it's gone) and third try using slammer to stun a longer path of enemies instead of stunning them once, fourth the most recent bladeworks strat has shotgunner as a necessary part, fifth try using extremely expensive "powercreep" towers on short maps. This isn't a powercreep issue, the point is that some towers will be better for certain modes and starts. Your only valid argument here is G ranger dominating laser gunner which I will concede, but even then Laser gunner is still helluva a lot more cost efficient for its top path.
