I have video concepts that i have never finished because I have been waiting for an opportunity to get a slider, even at the $279USD price point for the Toprig S40 its still out of range for now but it is a much better reach of an option for sure especially with it being motorized. ill keep my eye on this.
The price went up but that’s not a big deal, this still has one of the best value propositions for what it does, ease of use, and abilities. As always, thanks Brandon 🤙
for future reference, instead of saying there is a stream "this Friday," specify the date. Also specify that there will be VOD that cn be watched after and found in the description - as I am sure this video will be seen many times throughout the year.
Great review…wondering how loud is it? Would like to use as a second camera during an interview and didn’t know if it would be heard on a lavaliere on the subject? Thanks!
Never owned or used a slider before and I've always wanted one. This slider looks pretty short. Is it worth getting the longer version? I would use it for video podcast interviews and talking head shots. Some video podcasts can be up to 4 people with multiple cameras.
I can buy a printer for under $100 that has this mechanism in it and it throws in a scanner too. There is no reason why this slider that doesn't even come with a battery needs to cost more than $100 in my view. All the components are dirt cheap due to modern and mass production tech and the programming that goes into it is minimal. Despite the effects being lovely, I don't see anything here that justifies a $350 price. In fact, I have a gimbal that has a lock on item feature so I can just put it on it's mini tripod on a cloth mat and slide it left to right myself to get a product shot and it will track the item.
Although you are right, there is a big difference with sliding a printer-head around vs sliding a much heavier camera around. For it to be smooth and deal with the additional weight you're going to need a lot more finely tuned motors and tension control. Cheap printers are built from plastic, this is metal. It is also a niche item, you won't be producing as many of these as you would cheap printers which are mass market - therefore the tooling costs and manufacturing costs don't benefit from the same economies of scale, and are passed onto the consumer. There will absolutely be a bit of a markup for being video gear, because they can, but it's not as much as you'd think. I'd prefer to see it at a $250-$280 dollar range, but it's not so out of pocket to be priced the way it is.
Great video. How smooth is it? Does it studder or jerk as it moves. I have used Eldecrone sliders that have given me problems like that before. (weak motors?)
I would also like to know this. I want a motorized slider to do some vfx shots using the exact same camera move several times. It has to be exact each time.
How much cheaper would it need to be? I am honestly asking because I don’t want to mislead people in the titles. What do you consider budget? And what is that based on?
@@bwashmediaUnder $300 is budget for a MOTORIZED slider. I believe most sliders being used by pros/serious hobbyist are at least $700 - $1500. I think the people saying this isn’t budget haven’t actually shopped for a slider before or are very young/have no experience. Neewer had one around this price point a while back but it was loud and not very smooth (I sent mine back). There isn’t a lot of quality in this price point so thanks for sharing! Happy New Year!
Ahhhhh, not Brandon with the auto text/subtles at the bottom... your better than that 👎👎 we hear you loud and clear without them, don't go down to that level brother
lol you'd be surprise how many let youtube pre-play before they click on a video. I appreciate the feedback back but that's why it's only at the beginning.

When I clicked the link to to the Toprig S40 it said $350 and the longer one is $400?
Check market place
@@Dmalave89 never mind it’s the price you said I looked on Amazon

Much thanks for this, including the instructions!
I thought I'd have to improvise with some kind of wood contraption!
This is great!
Thanks for sharing! Gonna pick up the S60

I was looking for the fluid head you recommended but it wasn’t in the description

thanks for the review. I'm looking at getting the s60 for long timelapses. Will the app let me do long (3hrs or more) timelapse?
Looks so simple! I should have got this over the Ifootage Shark Slider Nano, which broke during a shoot.
Dude that sucks!

ive see. a video that shows the studderness of the slider
Great video man! I just picked up the Accsoon s60 after watching your video. Can you tell me which larger NPF battery you used? I
is there an app that you CAN use with the slider
This is dopeeeee
Really curious what your first slider was
It was almost 10 years ago and it was trash lol
What are the quirks?
can it hold a red Komodo
Thanks Brandon. Super useful.
Ha! literally bought the S60 yesterday!
Nice!!!
This is awesome. And the S60 doesnt cost a lot more.
In Norway, this thing is $450… I have a project going where I build my own slider :)
Thanks for the tip fam!
Hello Brandon I love your UA-cam set up and audio. I had a few questions for you. Is there a way to reach you directly ?
Good video. What's the weight limit on these sliders?
8ish pounds
@@bwashmedia appreciate it bruh. One!
I had a decent slider but I broke it bc my rig was too heavy.
Zeapon 3 comes in 3 sizes. Much better slider and has many more features for about the same money.
😂😂Literally 360$ for a Printer motorized-slide🧘🏾♂️🤔😏like why tho. Dope content Fam🔥
350usd is 1630 in malaysia... the exchange rate made it not budget at all
Can it handle your RED Komodo ?
Striped down, yea
Not sure this can be classed as a budget slider in my opinion.

Cheers so much but it's still way to expensive
The s60 cheaper though....
Brah this slider is too small..i need like a 48 inch or 60 inch or maybe 72 inches where do i find this crap
