Sticker Star is the best game ever, it has an engaging rpg system, that you level up, equip badges, have amazing partners, get new moves for the partners with Merlon, go to amazing places like a mystery train, an arena in the sky, a creepy town in a evernight forest and even to the moon, you can also solve other people troubles for rewards, you can be cursed by chests, you can get new boots and hammers, you can play with Bowser in 2d levels, you can make Peach become naked, you can become 8-bit, you can change the colors of your clothes, there is so much do in one game. This game is a masterpiece!
@@nxsus He's sarcastically talking about Thousand Year Door, in which one chapter intermission has Peach try spying the villain by drinking a potion and becoming invisible, but she has to take her clothes off because they're still regular. So you actually are controlling a fully naked Peach for a few minutes. (Though you can only see her shadow in the floor).
😅 I almost fall for it once you put sticker star on the top of the list I knew it was an April Fool's joke. No I didn't watch the whole video because I didn't want to be spoiled with the other games because I plan on playing those games down the road
Not gonna lie, as a modern paper mario fan I don't know how to feel about the series. My first experience with paper mario was way back on the wiiu, with paper mario color splash. Not to long ago I tried splatoon, a very very different game I know, but for some reason I ended up seeing the game, and after asking some friends of mine what their thoughts were about it, I decided to give it a try. I mostly just went in thinking, I like mario, splatoon was cool (looking back I'm not sure how I associated the two) why not try this game out? So I got the game. And it was a wild experience. At first I was like, this game is bad. It's slow, the combat sucks and for a game that's should be an rpg its sure as heck lacking in rpg elements. But after talking to people about it a bit more, and seeing some footage of the game I decided I'd continue on, just to see if it'd ever get better. I should also mention I was aware of other paper Mario's, and that was a big influence on me trying the game again. But I should seriously start talking about the game itself now. I went back to the game, played past the first chapter and things began to go up from there, the second chapter was pretty cool, the world's were beautiful and unique, and while characters weren't exactly characters, the dialogue was still great. The exploration was AMAZING and I began to love it. The game also began to actually develop some characters, kind of... its not much but things like the dojo toad from port prisma inviting you to watch a film with him and eat some fire flowers (or whatever he called it, I haven't played the game for at least 2 years so my memory isn't great) was pretty nice. Even though that doesn't even happen and its just a new training option, it does at least make the game and world feel a little more alive instead of the level based structure that it has. Speaking of the levels, I don't really understand why people hate it SO MUCH. I don't like it very much but I still don't think it deserves the hate it gets. Some people like to say that each level is just so random and disconnected from from others but they're really not, levels are part of individual areas and they do have a few good ideas here and there connecting one another. But maybe I shouldn't defend it so much because I still don't like it. I would've preferred if the levels could be a thing you unlock on a map as you explore the world, but instead of levels the world is connected, and you just have the levels to get around places, kinda like the warp pipes in TOK.
My device began to lag from all the text so I'll continue in a reply. Outside of the world map the levels themselves are great, I love being able to explore them to find secrets, usually it's nothing special but things like hidden luigis or cards are still fun to find. But one thing I HATE, HATE is the paint stars, getting kicked out of a level when you get them sucks, especially if they're all together (will continue later, it's 2am rn I should probably sleep at some point...
I have played every paper mario game. Personally Origami King was my favorite, followed by the Original, then TTYD, then SPM, then Color Splash, and finally, Sticker star.
Finally, an actually _good_ ranking of the Paper Mario games! Personally I think the old trilogy is incredibly overrated, if not outright bad, I'm so annoyed to see crybabies begging Nintendo to return to an outdated formula that barely anyone even liked. Like, get over it, they're already listening to the REAL fans, maybe get a life or something lmao. Anyways, here's how I would rank the series: 6. *The Thousand Year Door* (More like the Thousand Year Bore, why anyone would defend this backtracking garbage is beyond me lol) 5. *Super Paper Mario* (Who plays Mario for the story??????? Thank God Nintendo listened to the fans and never did this again) 4. *Paper Mario 64* (A game so old your parents probably played it, the graphics are so awful and the gameplay sucks) 3. *Origami King* (It probably the best story in any game ever made, Ollie is such a deep and well-written antagonist and I love the NPCs) 2. *Color Splash* (Man, it's hard to put this in second place, since it does pretty much everything right. Fantastic, brilliant game) 1. *Sticker Star* (You just can't beat the original! I love the simplicity of this game, it understands what Mario is actually supposed to be about. Not to mention how funny and random the stickers are!! I literally roflmao every time I play it, my mom actually confiscated my 3DS because I was laughing so hard and kept waking her and Steve up in the middle of the night haha) Well made list guys, happy to see you've matured in your tastes over the years!
My list, (Yes I’m going in line with the joke.) 6. Paper Mario TTYD 5. Paper Mario 64 4. Paper Mario The Origami King 3. Super Paper Mario 2. Paper Mario Color Splash 1. Paper Mario Sticker Star
Honestly,I understand a lot of the critic on recent games, but what’s wrong whit a paper world, also while I see a bit of nostalgia, obviously most of it is not nostalgia,I am not some random kid being toxic and I respect everyone’s opinion
For a company that has such a history with innovation and creating so many new and interesting IPs, it’s just baffling how they have handled the situation for a decade now
You forgot to mention how the first 3 Paper Mario games really fail to base the entire game around the paper gimmick that the games are NAMED AFTER! (Just forget how Paper Mario was originally called Super Mario RPG 2 and Mario Story!) Thankfully, this was fixed in the subsequent games, but the fact that these first 3 games weren’t only designed around paper immediately makes them the worst in the series! I should basically have a paper cut while interacting with the Paper Mario games with all the paper, not playing an RPG or reading a story!
I know some people like to include Bug Fables on their list of Paper Mario games. I don't know if you've ever played it, but if you would like to add that, maybe throw it into the 5, 6, or maybe even 7 position! XD Because that game takes what The Thousand-Year Door did and moved it to the next level, having a more convoluted story and a battle system that takes inspiration from it but takes it to a whole new level. Plus, there aren't as many partners in the game, but they do play off of each other very well, both in battles and in dialogue. Plus, there's no Mario characters in there and no generic characters, either, which makes it super boring! So many Paper Mario fans were disappointed by this that it's become one of the most infamous games of all time! 🤮😁

1000 year door is by far the best game ever!
I was MILDLY confused! Everything you were complaining about was all good things and I was just like nah there’s no way! Then I looked at the date…
I love how much of your content is revolved around paper Mario. It is the best series of all time!

Real talk: I genuinely think Color Splash is better than Origami King.

I was literally about to type an essay about how thousand year doors and super were the best too XD
Almost got me when you put 1000 year door at 5th. I only ever played the first two, and watched the video to get an idea of what the other 4 were like
Now the fucking unbelievable happened and we get a freaking TTYD remake. We are so back
I have played every paper mario game. Personally Origami King was my favorite, followed by the Original, then TTYD, then SPM, then Color Splash, and finally, Sticker star.
Seriously He would be weird of someone actually had this Playlist like there's no way

Does anyone else wish that they made a movie based on Paper Mario?
It’d have to be short cartoon episodes!
But I bet somebody out there might think this but it's very unlikely
It's funny how your satire is Nintendo's legitimate take on it, based on how they've responded to backlash.
