  • Relearning one-click flares to use fingers to open/close the fader instead of the wrist. Going all the way back to basics on this one.

    I’m in a similar position. Scratched way back in the 90s now relearning it again

      Yep, I messed around with it a little back then too, but didn't really have the time or $$$. I'm glad I'm picking it back up now. Thanks for checking out the page!

    Try using your index finger as the main finger to go along with your thumb instead of the middle. Kind of like fingers on a guitar pick. Might help with your speed and accuracy

      Thanks for stopping by and for the tip! I actually tried that when I first started scratching, but my middle has always been faster and more accurate than my index. Guitar picks, bows, slides (trombone)... the main pressure/manipulation has always primarily come from the middle. As long as I relearn my way out of the wrist open/close, I think I'm good though.
