Yup too complicated for me.......great concept, but too many separate parts - leg extensions, turn buckles, leg braces all need installing. May as well put up a tent.
As well frame no covered by warranty, lol

Well thought out! Definitely a challenge to make this size and not turn into a hammock. I have a a Burke and Wills double have had for years, now FINALLY someone makes a it can set on but also appears would support a big fella like myself.
Assume because I am a big dude would be wise to use the turnbuckles. Would use by myself.

Hi Paul, the turnbuckles and tension strap are to stop a couple from rolling in towards each other. Even if you are a big guy you shouldn't need the turnbuckle set.
Theres a lot of hype and excitment around the new range of air tube swags. Given the setup time for the stretcher is longer than some because its made so robustly, would an air tube queen swag be a good idea to put on the stretcher ?
Hi mate, I'd recommend out alloy pole swags as they are designed to match specifically to our stretchers. They are almost as quick and easy as air poles anyway, and the finished set up is much better given the connection points.

Nice idea but setup/pack away does seem cumbersome, especially if moving campsite each day. Wondering if you could use a simpler tensioning system with ratchet straps rather than turnbuckles?
Tried that, it had its issues too. The turnbuckles aren't too bad.

Glad you guys are not hiding any comments, yes it looks like it would take a bit to setup, but the price is small imo. would rather setup this then a tent like some of the comments made, set it up a few times and it would take no longer then 5 minutes i recon.
How long do you expect the Velcro to last is the bush with the tension across them add a little dirt some twigs ect ?
I don't think the velcro will be an issue at all mate. Just a little bit of care not to drag it through the dirt too much, but its a big velcro area, which shares the stress over a large area( If you set it up properly the velcro won't ever be on the ground). 5 minute set up with a bit of experience is about right. Adam Abello Gets quicker each time you set it up. Bloody comfy and yep takes longer than just chucking your swag on the ground but heaps easier to get in an out. Summertime gets you off the hot ground too

@@miket2304I’m looking at purchasing however I am concerned about how much front to back movement it might have. Do you find it having much movement?
@@v8s01 There is some stabiliser braces in the corners that help but there is still a little movement when you roll over. It hasn’t been enough to bother me but I only use it by myself.
Does the Dune big daddy Duluth swag fit on
Yes will sit on top of the stretcher fine, but their end poles won't match the holes in the end bars of our stretcher.
Just got mine and it is a task to set up. Need to get it set up before the beers as i can see myself sleeping on the ground.

So it is alot of set up but when I camp it's usually for a few days and it will be worth it for the fact that there's no centre bar. Few questions though, I couldn't find the turnbuckles on the website, where do I get them from? I'm not interested in the swag, are the feet soft enough that they won't poke holes in the bottom of my tent? And the exposed bolts on the top, are they sharp? I want to put a $750 camp mattress on top and I would be quite upset if the stretcher poked a hole in it.

Hey does it work with big daddy deluxe kings swag?
Yeah it does fit ok but I made some adapters from RHS that slip over the end bars with holes that the end poles fit into. Works without them but the poles just hang a little lower than normal
What size turn buckles
Assuming this would be compatible with any other freestanding double swag with 1400x2000 (approx) measurements?
Other swags won't lock into the stretcher like our swag does, but will sit on top ok.
Made some adapters for my big daddy poles to slot into and works fine

Sorry to say that the setup time for this product is excessively long. A cheap family tent could be setup In the same time, I certainly wouldn’t be spending that long just to setup a bed.
You still need to set up a bed inside a tent after you set it up.
