This is the most clear tutorial/explanation I've seen so far when it comes to attaching a clasp!
I'm not even being sarcastic. The first tip about the clip at the end of the wire was pure genius for me.
Exactly!!! Because I was just about to go and buy bead stoppers, when I have plenty of those clips at home!!
This woman is magnificent I absolutely love her simplicity of explaining this video! ♥️
Wow, thank you!
I was soo intimidated about adding the closures to my jewelry pieces… until this tutorial.. to the point with the tools I have.. thank you!

Perfect! I’m teaching a class of year 9s and we’re learning how to make jewellery, this tutorial really helped!

Thanks so easy, simple explanation
You're welcome!
Thank you. This is the most informative & easy to follow elastic bracelet making video I have seen on youtube.I am a beginner to making bracelets & your video really helped me.👍
Definitely the best I've seen too. I've been doing it differently, as per another tutorial, but this works much better, thank you so so much x
This is NOT an elastic bracelet tutorial. You do not use a crimp on elastic as it will eventually cut thru it.
@@kristen8566 Thanks for the tip. I was planning to use this tutorial for elastic thank god i found your comment.
Nice, simple, clean video - great instructions, thank you!
great video ! what size crimp tube is this?
wow thank you!! love your voice btw :D
Made it so easy!!
thanks
thank u
You're welcome 😊
Excellent tutorial
Glad you liked it
Cute bracelet ,... I just recently started making gemstone bracelets with elastic band, but I’m looking towards making something more sturdy and reliable.
I think going with the wire & clasps is a better call & adds more class to the piece 😊
hello! there’s a pretty good chance you won’t see this but how did you close your elastic bracelets? did you just tie them off or use some sort of clasp? i want to make some necklaces and just tying it off won’t work well but i’ve only got access to elastic
@@aoifecailin9399
I tide them off and added a bit of super glue for a stronger hold.
@@erikadawnwyatt1104 have you ever tried necklaces that way??
Great video. Thank you.
Thanks
Does this also work with beaded necklace made with spring cord elastic ?
Love this! Very to
Great to hear :)
Hi, so im trying to buy some crimp tubes and crimp cover beads, what sizes would you recomment i buy? Am i meant to buy crimp cover beads larger than the size of the crimp tubes?
very helpful
I'm so glad!
literally i mean literally this is what i needed to see!! because i was using the freaking crimp beads to end my bracelets
Glad we could help!
thank u so much!
Welcome!
Hey, I made a few necklaces and the wire breaks after I attached the clasp to the jump ring. Do you think the wire isn’t strong enough to hold things together?
Binder clip, learned something as soon as you started talking.Lol
Lol abbygail
THANK YOU
Glad it was helpful
What size of the crimp cover bead are you using please? And thank you so much for this video, very easy to follow and well explained!
Hi, i believe these are 4mm, they are the size we use most.
Ty
what do you use to cover the stopper?
Hi
Where can I buy the beeding wire with the locks.
Thanks
Should i do necklace with stretchy thread or iron wire?
My question is what type of wiring is used for this because I have tried this method over and over and have the hardest time pulling the wire through the crimp beads without leaving huge spaces in-between beads?
Thank you for this. First time to see the crimp cover.
What type of string did you use?
she just used a metal beading wire
So is it true, that with a Crimp Tube you can simply flatten it with a chain nose plier if not with a crimping plier to make the crimp tubes shape? Its still secure being flattened? Because I heard it can chew the wire if not shaped with a crimping plier... please help x
Both ways work, the crimping will grasp the wire with either method. Its personal preference and beading wire is pretty hard to snap, i have never had an issue. I have seen crimping pliers not create a strong enough grip and the wire loosen though, so be careful to ensure properly crimped if using a specific tool. Sorry for the late reply too :)
What type of wire is used in this video?
Which wire are u using for making this bracelet??
Can someone tell me the name of the think after the clasp? That she smashed with the pliers
Thank you. Do you or anyone else worry that the crimp cover edges will eat away at the wire with movement over time?
What size wire do you use in the video?
Hi what wire are you using here? Please can you let me know the full name so I can buy online? Thanks 😊
I think she's using the elastic cord its name is Crystal tec korea
It was beading wire available here www.burhousebeads.com/beading-supplies/beading-wire-thread/
What are the dimensions of the wire please?
What do you call the thing you put before putting in the clasp?
crimp
I have a design background by I have basic experience into jewellery making mostly for family and mostly for fun, I usually take apart existing items and learn that way.
I wanted to make something special for my sister and she picked an item that I had sold out and she really want it. The problem with the item was I was inordinately expensive and it wasn't even silver or gold.
So I said I'd make it for her using silk sterling silver and real gemstones
I spent about £150 (on beads and findings and I get a necklace, bracelet have items left over for other projects) and it still less expensive than the bracelet she wanted.
My sister doesn't really like me as a person she's very mean actually, I don't really know why but she likes the things I make she also likes to use and wear the things I make it's beyond me.
This is a bit of a monologue I know you must probably don't care, however the technique you have show me is something I've been investigating and looking to have knowledge on for an inordinate amount of time.
Thank you very much I really appreciate it x
what size of wire the best for bracelet or necklace?
0.018 gauge works well, we have a video which reviews the sizes and gauges also the products can be found here www.burhousebeads.com/beading-supplies/beading-wire-thread/
Are there any kits you recommend to buy? I accidentally bought ribbon choker crimps which doesn’t work at all with the beads haha
What kind of ring is that
Good morning. Where can I get the clasp to buy
This is a whole year later, but if you’re still wondering, you can get it at Hobby Lobby!
What type of wire is this??
Where can i purchase the crimp tubes and the crimp overs?
you can get them at michaels!
What type of beading wire do you recommend?
Our favourite is Beadalon 49 strand, but lower strand are fine too just may kink more, and 0.015 is a favourite gauge fits pearls and gemstones.
How to extend a toggle clasp?
Where did you buy you crimped.
Is the ring just a jump ring? or is there a difference PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME
It's a soldered/closed jump ring.
What exact wire is this?
Oh, ok, so I don't have to tie any fancy square knots or something to keep things in place. Good to know.
And now that I know the last steps/things I need, I'm off to buy some beads!
does this work with elastic?
Better with wire, elastic will stretch and harder to attach to the other parts of the bracelet :)
@@BeadhouseUkstore okay thank you!
what if you don't have stringing wire ?
Could you repeat what supplies are needed please
what kind of wire is it please
This is beading wire like the ones available here, will have been a 0.018 gauge i think www.burhousebeads.com/beading-supplies/beading-wire-thread/
Without you I will have done something wrong 😅
Where do I get the crimp covers?
I get mine from Aliexpress.com (China), under $2.50 for a pack of 100. I used to order a lot of decorative rivets for projects from Tandy here in the US (I am in the US) until I realized I can get the exact same from Aliexpress (and more variety). It takes anywhere from 15 to 33 days to receive your order. I have never had a problem with purchasing sight unseen from Aliexpress. Or, you can go to a Michaels store or a Walmart if you want them sooner. :)
Jayma Fields hey thanks but can u send the link cuz I’ve been searching all over the place 😊 thanks for responding to my comment I really appreciate it
@@kalenecazaubon-sample1654 Type in "crimp covers for Jewelry" in Aliexpress. They should come up. :)
