My all time favourite piece of music, heard it when I was young and reminds me of my daughter I lost in 2020 aged 13. Wish you would play this more often
Okay, let's think about this for a second - how many songs do you think Brendan knows right off the top of his head? 1000? 2000? Many more than that? & then there are his improvisations. The talent continues to amaze me. I'll watch your videos forever!!!
They actually don’t commit the songs to memory- not in the way you think anyway- when Yu have perfect pitch like this, you hear the song and you play the song from the tune- so it would be like if you played jingle bells- you known the tune and could therefore just play it. They don’t memorise them notes from a book or anything- the just hear the tune and can play it.
@@Dr_KAP That is correct. A musician on the level of Brendan has mastered the language of music the same way we are fluent in our first language. When we want to say something, we don't recite each word from memory. We already understand the words, sentence structure, basic grammar, etc. and we just say it without thinking about it. The same way when Brendan begins playing, he doesn't have to think about musical theory, what key to play in, chord progressions, etc. He just says what he wants to "say" with his fingers. A tiny percentage of people are born with this but it can be developed with practice. Takes decades for the average person though.
Lovely piece which I have heard many times before but this version was the best so far, and you both injected the fun you have in your playing as you do in your Boogie Woogie. Great lads and thank you.
This was my Grandads favourite piece. So I learned to play it. Doubt I could now though, and I can’t play a thing without sheet music. Completely and utterly in awe of those who can.
For the first time i love the way u guys play the song, it's really amazing😍, but after watching it so many times, i fell in love with the young man beside u Mr. K 🤪🤣❤
Dear Dr. K Do you realize that every time you (and Terry, too!) stop a passerby to listen for even just a moment you change their lives? That is the power of music! Cheers!
I would love to be a fly on the wall if this was belted out in some pre victorian ballroom. It obviously couldn't be waltzed to but the momentum is so infectious, that the participants could not help but to tap their feet amid the impending stationary couples, standing in both aghast and awe. . 😉
Haha I love ballad por Adeline...I learned this a while back. Very popular in Mexico and China! AWESOME playing but one question...do you know boogie woogie??!!!

OMG No words describe how AMAZING this is..... To walk up to a piano, in public, and play like this is my DREAM....
.....so sweet! Loved it when Rodrigo lifted his hand because he knew where Dr. K’s hand was going.....they can read each other.
I remember my younger years with my parents. I missed you Dad. Rest well now in heaven.

Thanks Rodrigo for your nice natural and unexcited kind of being.
I can’t believe how many songs have been committed to memory!!!
Cathey DiVito , I was thinking the same thing!!

Never a bad video from Brendan. I wish I had his talent on a piano.............
Sorry but what You wrote here is just a pure nonsense. It has nothing to do with talent. It's years of playing, not a talent..

Absolutely beautiful! Spent 20 mins after the livestream trying to find the name of this song. Should have just watched this video next!

It's Fortunate that they had something to play with on street instead of nothing. Well done while many people cannot play any notes.

better video beforehand if the current one is too monotonous and always like to raise the tempo of the music
He needs to make videos where he tells someone to fix the piano lol
