This was awsome, I could feel the pressure each time nick couldn't get that causal roll. I think Tak needs to play sisters more, he did awesome with them
I feel like GW did GSC dirty overall with this codex. What they got vs what was nerfed or taken away. It just doesn't feel like enough, imo. It seems like the balance team is seeing how the Index army is playing. And deciding whether to nerf it based solely on that. And then being scared to be good elsewhere due to little or no testing.
@@ZiggyGWDev from what I read. They played this with index points. As none of these channels got the points changes. As they didn't get the actual codex for gsc. Just a pdf file for the datasets and major rule/detachment changes. But SoB had their points changes.
@Turai12 most of the UA-cam channels got the sisters codex for their games. Which included points changes. But the GSC codex didn't make it out to the channels. That was sent as a pdf file with rules and datasheets. So you have sisters being played at release points. While gsc being played with release rules but index points. Gsc needs massive points decrease to be viable with these severely nerfed rules and datasheets.
Nah i don't think GSC are down and out yet. There are probably big points changes for both Sisters and GSC, these pre codex/MFM games are the best indicator. GSC have also been playing around an index focusing on about 3 units for the last year, it'll take time to adjust. Sisters have a much more pick up and play friendly codex atm, especially at current points values.
@@eo8240 Sisters have a ton of power in their codex, so even with points adjustments, they're going to be a strong army that does well the rest of the edition save for insane points hikes. GSC on the other hand has been reduced to a non- interactive army. They have no ability to meaningfully kill anything your opponent has outside of a single Alpha Strike costing hundreds of points and multiple CP. GSC is going to have to get so cheap to field enough bodies to squeeze out a win they're going to be by far the most expensive army in the game by a landslide and that is a massive failure on GWs part, even if they end up with a decent win rate. Points can never fix bad rules. Just look at how AdMec and Tyranids have been since their codex releases. No amount of points drops have helped those armies because their rules are that unusable and bad. GSC will be "okay" eventually, but at a cost that isn't worth it for an already super unpopular faction. That's just reality. I feel bad for anyone that's going to play them in the next year and especially for any new players.
@@galling2052 Yeah man i changed my tune pretty quick. A few brutal games brought me down to earth. We need a huge points drop (really a big overhaul of the army rule too)
loved the video, though i am extremely surprised that nick didn't use his Alphus more, or that he only had one of them. Also didn't hear much about the additional ap that comes from ridgrunners hitting a target, aside from once(?) but that might have been taken to account off camera. Still, great show from both, hope to see more of both of these armies exploring the new detachments!

With the nerfs to battleline units coming back(no more bonus to the roll), I really think GSC should get to deploy those "returning" units in their own reserves phase, rather than having to do so at the end of the opponent's movement phase. They do not need to be able to shoot or charge on that turn. Just having a bit more control of them coming back would be nice. There are just too many factors that can result in no units returning(It is overall more difficult to get units to return, and the opponent can move units to deny the markers). And even if they do return, they will probably be shot or charged before they get to act anyway. And overall, they got a nerf to dealing damage as well. Just seems like there is little point in using them now.
