Equations of the form y = mx describe lines in the Cartesian plane which pass through the origin. The fact that many functions are linear when viewed on a small scale, is important in branches of mathematics such as calculus.

Hello, I finally understood the meaning of functions. Everything in life is a "subject" function, "Work" for instance. With the work, we put in some real inputs and get one output; provision. Real valued functions in mathematics are just abstracted phenomena of this real life. Thank you for these valuable, priceless math lectures.

I love math and it’s infinite styles. School makes people not like math, but I have the answers already. I passed my algebra two exit exam by using A B A C A D A B A and got 82% correct. It turns out you don’t have to pay attention or do homework, but if you learn some thing, then that’s all that matters.

y=mx represents a line passing through origin. Where the x-intercept 'c' will be zero in y-mx+c
