The hardest part in the beginning is your food intake, over time your body and brain will get used to less food. Don't be discouraged about the calorie count.
Keep up the exercise. It will reprogram your body to burn more calories at rest, and once you lose weight, it will be easier to keep the weight off and eat what you want (within reason). I lost 120lbs in 2023 with intermittent fasting and exercise, and now with daily exercise I no longer have to fast. I'm able to eat 2500+ calories per day and maintain an ideal weight by only counting calories. That's two big meals per day and one small meal in the middle, or three regular sized meals. I like food and don't want to sacrifice too much of what I enjoy, so it's what I have to do. You can do it too if you want. Keep up the good work.
