I love your ALL shows. I love the pictures, especially the comparison images. Thank you so much for your work! I love the detailed information. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for the kind words. If you want to check out some of my other history shows I have 12 different topics on UA-cam. Just enter Discovering New England History - David Norton. The episodes are numbered. I can't record any new shows in the Channel 9 studio because of the pandemic but I'm using my time well by researching new shows all the time. Thanks again for watching!
Thank you for the kind words. In the beginning when I started researching everyone told me not to bother because everyone in this area (Fall River) knows the story. That's when a close friend of mine from Swansea gave me a newspaper article written years ago about a criminal investigator who grew up in Fall River and as a young fellow his family new Lizzie. Most historians cover the events on the house. I worked in Fall River as a supervisor at in one of the mills so I knew my way around the city. I decided to expand the story by locating all the places that Lizzie grew up in. I knew there was a fresh approach to the story with photos around the city to make the events come alive. I hope in some way that I succeeded.
Great presentation. I always wondered what happened between Abbie and Lizzie to precipitate this frenzied murder. And then to cover her emotions so well. Really sociopathic.
@@653j521 this case is 130 years old. There was no mention of William Borden at the trial, or before the trial, because there was no illegitimate son. There was no talk about a son in 1892, that's a recent rumor. This case is surrounded by rumor and they grow over the years. As you study this case be careful about sticking to facts.
From what I researched William Borden did not attend the funeral or cemetery. He was not listed in the immediate family and was not listed as a pallbearer at the funeral.
I am impressed with your efforts to make your talk interesting and for the research you have done for this family tragedy. I wonder if this William Borden is the real killer as I have my doubts that Lizzie is.
I don't believe that 2nd picture you showed is Brownell house. No way! It would take many, many years for it to look that bad! I just really find it hard to believe.
I think he spent the horrid night after, staying in the same room he'd stayed in the night before... the room Abby was supposedly cleaning... even though they had a maid.
@@jaddae6357 She supposedly straightened it. Sounded as if she made the bed and such in anticipation of his return. The maid was doing the heavy work on the windows. Lizzie was supposedly ironing. This was a middle class home not an aristocratic home. The family worked hard, too.

Thank you for watching. As a native New Englander there are many untold stories yet to be discovered.
Thank you for researching so thoroughly. I learned to love history from a college professor at K.U. He brought the stories of people to life.

Great listening to you telling the story.
Great pictures ,you are very sweet. But William has never been proven to be Andrew's son. PlusEmma was gone 2 weeks when the murders took place.
Thank you , Dave, for your wonderful videos. I am obsessed with the Borden murder and Lizzie of course.

@@davidnorton8459 I really appreciate your connecting with me. It was kind of you. I feel there is never too much info about an historical event.

The maids testimony makes no mention of William Borden visiting. Neither does Lizzie's testimony.
Because there was no William.
@@johndoe-wv3nu So who did people see who were not William?

I always go to watch this and realize it’s part 3… go to your channel, can’t find part 1. Repeat this once a week for six months.
I served on a jury in that same courtroom in 2005. It didn't look that much different.
Love your videos!
Did William Borden attend the funerals of Andrew and Abbie Borden? His name is not mentioned as being at the wake or cemetery.
From what I researched William Borden did not attend the funeral or cemetery. He was not listed in the immediate family and was not listed as a pallbearer at the funeral.
Maybe because he didn't exist?
Norton, Norton, Norton!

Ash street jail 1893 has an awfully modern street lam in front of it, no?
SHE DIDN'T DO IT, " IT WAS MY SISTER"

Did John Morse ever come back to the house? That has never been addressed before!
yes

Yes he did. He was invited to dinner later that day and he did return. He stayed that night of murders then I think left
I have absolutely never heard that story about William Borden. Where did you get this information? I think that’s fiction. Not true
Why is this story so famous? We are talking about just 2 dead people.
It’s a history mystery.
