Really wish I had stumbled on Ted in undergrad. His explanations make me so excited about teaching and work we do as audiologists. Thank you for your service to the profession!
Thank you Dr venema. I have been doing Audiolical tests for the past 40years.. Your explanation of the basic concepts are super.Your students are lucky.. India
omg im crying,, its kinda hard to actually find an educator that explains in a way that can be easily understood,, with the hand gestures and words used,, all perfect! thank you so much! you definitely helps me in understanding this better! :D wish you a good and a healthy life, dr!
Hello Dr. Venema...I am an audiology student...you explain veryy well and after watching your videos I got more clarity...I request you to make more such videos in future ..if possible please make a video on Decibel concept...
This explanation really helped me get a better understanding of OAE, I'm in my 2nd year BSc studying Audiology and will be coming back to this channel for more lectures and info. Thanks Again for the content
Can't express how grateful I am for your videos. At first sight otolaryngology seemed quite boring subject which has a lot to do with classificactions of OM, ear tumors etc... but you emphasise the wonders of hearing mechanism and how falling out of some funcition is expressed in the hearing tests. Thank you sir!!
Dr. Venema...I was wondering if you have investigated "the hum" phenomena that plagues many individuals all over the world and whether you have any thoughts or speculations as to its source or why only certain individuals hear this "hum". For example, I hear the hum but my wife does not and I only hear it in one ear and not both. Physical location does seem to matter as I hear the hum in some locations and not in others. It is very strange and very annoying...
There's a passion when he speaks that just keeps me engaged, I thinks that's what makes it so good. He really is an educator. Thank you!
