This would have been an absolute dream come true. Thank you for posting this. When I went on the Universal Studios tour in 1992 they had a lot of stuff from the movies like the DeLorean and the model of the flying car and a few of the hoverboards but the set was already gone. The only thing that look the same from the movie was the clock tower was restored back to the 1955 version with the statues and everything. I don't believe the statues are there anymore. I also got to see the lion Estates statues. Back to the Future is my favorite trilogy so videos like this are just absolutely amazing.

OMFG that epic moment when he points the camera inside the parking lot at 6:58, where all the BTTF movie cars are parked - INCLUDING none other than the frickin' DeLorean itself!!!! What an awesome video, every BTTF fan's wet dream has come true with this

Yeah, it’s pretty awesome looking inside that parking lot! The DeLorean in there though is the fibreglass kit car from the landing scene when Marty, Doc & Jennifer first arrive in 2015. You can tell by the black smaller vents on the rear of the car as opposed to the welded steel vents on the actual ‘hero’ car. Still, incredible seeing the two outside that were used for fx scenes & the car with the part 3 whitewall wheels!

Thanks for sharing! Wow, I think if BTTF Part 2 was just released today we would have a whole themed area at Universal to walk through and explore with an attraction, shopping and eating at the café 80's!

So jealous that you got to walk around this set. They should build it back to 1955 spec today and leave it like that. I could spend hours in Lou's saying 'give me a milk, chocolate' 😍😍

This is why I applaud all the volunteers that aren't supposed to snoop on days off, then do exactly that with a camera. 👍

Insane how much detail they put in. Most of which nobody would ever even see. So cool.

Can anyone tell me, was this set the same location as the set that exists today as hill valley? Like they just altered it for each movie ?
This is frigging awesome on each and every level ! Thank you for this !

Hi, No this is the 2015 future set made for the second film. I might be wrong but I seem to remember it accidentally set on fire and no longer exists. Like I said, I might be remembering wrong but I'm sure if you are able to Google it, there is more info online.
      Hope that helps!

@@JacknVictor right so this is a completely different set than the one that still exists at the study, wow the attention to detail is wowsome!

@@robertbuery3797 Yeah it was great. I wish I had gotten the chance to visit it! The original set is amazing too. So many TV shows and movies are filmed there. In the same week I recognised it on repeats of both Knight Rider and The A-TEAM!
I've noticed they use the outside and internals of the clock tower (which is actually mainly used as a court house set) on Quantum leap, the movies Liar Liar, a few good men, Buffy the Vampire. Old shows like Matlock and Perry Mason. Hundreds of others. I think it was built and first used for a Twilight zone episode.
The movie Gremlins was filmed there just before they filmed Back to the Future(BTTF), and it was actually onlymade because of a delay in BTTF getting made, and seeing as how the set, camera crew, producers etc was already booked and paid for they decided to film Gremlins so as not to waste money and to keep everyone working, and not too long after BTTF got made.
Once this covid epidemic dies down a bit and travel restrictions etc are lifted I'd love to go on the studios tour. It's a long trip for me, it's the best part of 6,000 miles away! And I've recently lost a leg (through surgery, don't mean I've misplaced it lol) and I'm not mobile at the minute. Not too sure that I'll be able to walk after I get my prosthetic leg, but if that's the case, I won't let it stop me. I'll just have to go in my wheelchair if I have to.
IIt's been my life long dream to visit Hollywood, universal studios etc. I've been to Pinewood studios in England where they do a lot of movies (original star Wars and superman/batman movies, carry on movies, James bond Harry potter, countlessTV shows etc) and also near where I used to live I got to visit an old gasworks that is used in many TV shows and movies (Ashes to ashes, It was also used for the very realistic Vietnam scenes in Full Metal Jacket) and only 5 miles away is a housing estate that is used in lots of TV shows such as Primeval, Misfits, etc. It gets used in hundreds of TV adverts and also another Stanley Kubrick movie, A Clockwork orange was filmed there because the housing units looked really futuristic for the time. Even now they still have a futuristic sci-fi look to them and appear in a lot of sci-fi shows/movies.
There are lots of videos on UA-cam of people visiting these sets and areas in London. Also, if you like videos of people visiting working and abandoned TV sets, search UA-cam for 'abandoned coronation Street set' as , although I'm not a fan of the TV show, it is good to see how the set is built and what kind of effort goes in to building such sets, and how they give the impression of being real.places when in reality they are mostly painted wood hollow building facade's.

Didn’t it burn down around 1990-1991?
