I kind of love that the IRS basically pokes it’s nose in whenever there’s a financial crime… they’re like the friend who shows up as soon as there’s drama but is nowhere to be seen when things are calm.
Lol, or like the friend who only cares about a specific drama, and when they get a whiff, they "poof" into existence and take it public. BUT they literally don't care about anything else so it's fine they know you sell weed out of your locker.
You know the IRS does criminal investigations related to the tax code all the time right? They just aren’t the primary agency when it comes to a murder case so of course they jump afterward. Other cases, I’m sure they learn of the crimes as a result of primary investigations of other agencies.

There was a murder case near where I live where they had to fill hockey arenas with almost the entire town to try and find anyone who could serve on the jury because the family was so well known and a large employer in the town.

Truck Driver Nerd Here! An injector is a fairly intense engine part to replace on a semi truck. I think he was specific about it because it's going to take hours of very hands on work to complete, if not all day. Noting that it was injector #4 is just him being extra about it. I assume trying to add to the authenticity of him being completely engaged in replacing the part and not being anywhere else doing anything else.

How many times does the IRS have to say you have to declare illigal profits before people remember a line actually exists for it on tax forms (no, I'm not saying which one - get an accountant)? At least tax fraud is an easy crime to prove.
I could be wrong but I think in SC the grand jury meets once a month and always in Columbia. I think Fitsnews said that in one of their reports. He mentioned how some of the grand jury results were delayed in the fall due to bad weather because the jurors had to come in from all over the state and while on the east coat of SC it was good weather, the grand jurors from the mountain areas had to cancel because of ice
