Like previous commenters, I hadn't heard of My Government Means to Kill Me and find it surprising that there hasn't been a whole lot more noise about this book! Adding to my TBR.
I just finished My Government Means To Kill Me and I went searching for reviews about it, which is how I found your video. I am not hearing anyone talk about this book. I found it stunning. I loved the characters so much and it felt so much like a memoir than fiction. This would be a great bookclub book because there is so much to discuss.

Excellent! Spread the word! The author also worked on the fresh prince reboot, so I’m really baffled as to why this book isn’t getting more attention.
