That is a great method. I personally have used Army Painter Zealot Yellow. it does 85% of the work, and you can come behind with all the other paints as show.
Thank you so much for the no-cut, single take video. It removes any question about what happened next and how to go from step to step. I love this technique and have used a variation of it on jet pack bases. Super good to see it presented so clearly!
You want something that contrasts it - something like this would work great - or if you wanted a blue flame maybe - pylar glacier, frostheart and leviadon blue
You going to do any painting videos on the new flesh eaters coming out? Or even a video on shellaxi. Hellbane as she is the top demon in 40k Used your tutorial. How to do the arch regent and It was mint
Thank you! Don’t know how many “pro” UA-cam painters paint fire and add the colors backward- where the lightest(hottest) colors are furthest from the source of ignition. 🙄
I love how simple that is, it honestly gives me the confidence to give it a go myself as I feel like I can do that.

Just what I needed for my Roboute Guilliman base! Thank you so much for your videos
Glad it helps!
Wow. I love simple techniques that look complex.
I love how short and to-the-point this video is!
Cheers
Perfect, just what I was looking for
Beautiful blending!

Really simple technique and absolutely exciting result 🤩👍🏻
Thanks for sharing this 😊
Flame on 🔥

Perfect timing, I just got into 40k and started a Salamander army last month. Thanks!
Glad it helps!
This is so helpful. Thank you for this one mate.
Thanks man
Amazing! I've been putting off painting fire for so long but this video helped so much - thank you from both me and my Salamanders!
Awesome!
The only part I haven’t been looking forward to now I know how!!
I will be using this. Thank you sir
Glad you liked it ;)
great tutorial. easy to follow and nice result. these quick ones are your best videos!
Cheers!
Honestly thank you so much. I was just about to look up how to do flames!
Thank you! And thank you for the super thanks as well!
So easy it’s heresy!
I agree!
It’s ‘hereasy’ 😅
That's quite awesome! I can't wait to try it!
Thanks!
I'll be doing this with Iyanden Yellow, Gryphhound Orange and Blood Angel Red. Can't really justify buying 3 more colours 😅
Nice one, thank you!
Glad you liked it!
🙏 thank you
Honestly this is actual magic! What's your go to for painting power weapons? Any tricks like this?
Thanks! Depends on the effect you want - I did this video a while back

TAP speedpaint version?
Good question! Maybe:
Maize Yellow
Nuclear Sunrise
Blood Red
Grim Black
love how the flame looks, what colors would you recommend for my psychophage which is part of the green and brown tyranids i asked you about

@@ThePaintingCoach gotcha thx
This is great.
Do you think this technique could be used for flaming swords as well?
Yes 100%
I struggle to paint blood on Blood Angels for aesthetic purposes, the flames on Salamanders, and the tesseract glow on Necrons lol
Cool
You going to do any painting videos on the new flesh eaters coming out?
Or even a video on shellaxi. Hellbane as she is the top demon in 40k
Used your tutorial. How to do the arch regent and It was mint
Yeah I'll probably do some Flesh Eater Courts
Awesome work as always coach! With a larger flame like for example the one from bloodthirster is possibile use the same technique?
Yes it is - these colours are great
@@ThePaintingCoach yes I saw! The result is amazing! Just scared to mess with bigger flame 😅
Go for it!

can I use contrast medium with similar colours to get a similar effect? I don't have such contrasts.
You can try - practice on some parts or sprue to see how it goes
@@ThePaintingCoach alrighty cool
The Masters of the Black Arts always make things look easy! 👍 ... Still, I'll give it a try. NOW, where to buy (CHEAP!) Contrast paints... 😉 .:. Walts
Very similar technique to how the Warhipster does these types of effects.
2:35 oh thank god you got the white spot you missed on the top
"3 and a bit minute video" Video is 2:58. Reported to the Inquisition for misinformation!!!!!!
(This is great, thank you )
😱🤣 thank you!
Damn
What is the difference between Blood Angels Red and Baal Red?? Oo
Baal red is a brighter, more consistent colour
If u listen closely u can hear dragon force playing in the background 🤘🤘🤘
I wish I could use the music on my video haha!
Ngl no matter the painting technique those plastic flames and smoke effects just look ugly
