The Bus Engine sounds real good , surely somebody can make something from the bus! Oh man the poor recover rope , yes it is tough and it was abused by you LOL. I am going to check into this rope! Thumbs UP Chris!!
Yeah she definitely sounds healthy for sure. Theyre only asking 2K for this bus. Not a bad deal at all! And thanks for your assistance with the hackers. I deleted all of the comments that I saw
Looks like fun I've lived in my 81 GMC Wayne 72 passenger for 16 years on the road camping...... Just gives me another reason not to like the cabover buses the wheels really need to be way out front.... It always helps to dig behind the tires when they sink like that.... Looks like you'll have fun trying to get a jack under the front end at any rate there's just no clearance
Little bit of history; Ward was a bus body manufacturer based in Conway Arkansas. When I was working medium-duty trucks I managed the maintenance on a bus lot with about 120-130 buses which were all Ward bodies. I always thought they had one of the better looking bus bodies out there. Anyway, Ward went broke and then became AmTran, which was eventually bought out by International. AmTran kept using the "Ward" nameplate until the early 90s, so that one must've been one of the last.
I drove school bus for a couple or so years and the oldest bus in the fleet was that same model but a bit older. Cool old bus until the kids got inside and then you realize how much safer a modern school bus is!
I work in the paper making industry , the machines use rope for guiding the paper through the machine on startup and to roll some idler wheels and its made in Britain , it cannot be broken towing cars , it has stretch to do a snatch like this , even when old and weathered it is the strongest rope in the wORLD!!! Look for people that wotrk at a paper making plant and get rope from them!
Kinda odd how a school bus from Kentucky ends up in Suburban Philly. Even without the license plate, three tell-tale signs that this was a Kentucky bus are (1) the side emergency door, which has been a standard feature on all school buses in Kentucky - front or rear engine - for decades, (2) the black stripe where the school district name is located and (3) the "No. xx-xx" on the side to identify a Kentucky school bus.
Chris if you ever get in a situation like this and have some time to kill. Im in Smyrna De and have a couple tow truck's my little 2001 GMC W4500 cab over has a Vulcan 882 wrecker with wheel lift twin 8k winches and extending boom. It would take me a little over an hour to get to you depending where you are with a project. But im around most of the time and could come help you out.

Most of the time they do a roof raise. Would be crap as a camper being so big overall but so short in height. Maybe for midgets.
