One little thing, the 2CV is french, not Italian. The GMC truck, Acura Integra, Toyota Prius and the BMW 318ti are on my radar for next year. Classic American cars from the 1960's and 1970's might not be your cup of tea but I grew up with them and do collect them. Matchbox has been hitting homeruns for the past few years.
Incredible lineups. They have something great for everyone! No matter what you like/collect you’ll have a guaranteed 2-3 releases every year that will fit your style. And yes, miscue on the Citroen on my part lol

I agree! Matchbox this year looks excellent! I have to say that Matchbox this year is probably the best year that Matchbox has ever had. I think Matchbox 2025 surpassed Matchbox 2007 & Matchbox 2008. I think that this year of Matchbox 2024 was as good as 2007 & 2008. We are officially in the true Golden Ages of Matchbox again. They started heading there when Matchbox Moving Parts came in 2019. Matchbox 2013, Matchbox 2014, Matchbox 2015, Matchbox 2016, Matchbox 2017, Matchbox 2018 First Half, Matchbox 2003 & Matchbox 2004 were all the dark ages of Matchbox (bad ages of Matchbox). I’m glad that those bad ages of Matchbox is over & don’t miss those vehicles at all during those bad eras.
The moving parts line has been such a game changer. Now that the database of models is built up it’s incredible

Not true that the LR Defender 130 (a great choice, incidentally) is the first Moving Parts Land Rover. There have been variations of the vintage open '65 Land Rover (with opening doors), and the 2016 Land Rover LR4 that was Collectors. Yes, I was pleased by the opening trunk on the Century, a car that was virtually unknown here until the last few years and the JDM craze mentioned in the narration. It does make it a "BUY" rather than a "PERHAPS". Tomica and recently Majorette made models with opening doors of the 3rd Generation Century, but the opening trunk is perfect. The Chairman of Sony needs to load his golf clubs into the trunk, or his set of matching Vuitton luggage at Tokyo Airport after his business trip to New York. That being said, in terms of engineering, I hope that a better job is done on this trunk as compared to the Harry Potter Ford Anglia I bought a week ago. It has opening doors and trunk, which is obviously a big attraction, but the design of the doors was poorly executed (the windows on the doors do not align with the windows on the car's body), and the trunk has really poor movement. In the good old Lesney days of Matchbox, all the moving parts had very fluid, flawless operation. The movement on today's models seems stiff. All I can attribute that to is engineering, and making it as indestructible as possible to prevent kids from vandalizing their own cars. Why create a potential generation of insurance fraudsters?!

This is older generation of Pajero than Hot Wheels version. However I have problem with Moving Parts and castings of new cars because for example Majorette is always step ahead. They have ID Buzz with sliding doors already and their Tonale has much better shade and wheels than MBX version. Price is slightly bigger but it's worth it in my opinion.
Are the matchbox collector models also going to be in the basics?
Depends. Collector models can either have moving parts or not have them. So some may need up in the basic line and some may end up in the moving parts line

The new collectors sadly don't know what a REAL metal car was in this age of plastic, remember the bumper sticker "hungry? eat your import" jdm..pft..could care less.
The fact they made less classic cars shows how out of touch Matchbox is.
I would say it shows their more in touch with modern collecting 🤷♂️
