This keyboard got me my first 727pp play, my first tournament badge, did my homework, did the laundry, did my taxes, and touched grass for me. It's really a versatile keyboard for osu! and effective for every circle in the game. =] wooted keyboard

lubing wont change the feel of the switches, the weird feeling is because they are hall effect switches which are magnetic

So if this is a hall effect keyboard with linear switches, does that mean that it will never doubletap?
Those switches have 40g initial weight and 60g after, it is mentioned on their site
I've had this keyboard since before it was so well known, and while I do like it a lot, it's really not worth buying just for performance. It's also not really even beneficial to your performance, just makes it feel better due to less input delay. If you're already going to spend money on a keyboard, then yeah It's a pretty good choice. But if you're just getting it to get "better" at a game, just forget it really. There's still disbenefits to using it on its most sensitive settings anyway, so you may end up not even using the features provided.
Though there are some things I want to mention about it still:
Yes you can map the wasd keys to act like a joystick. It's an analog keyboard, while assisting the digital input is really nice it also can do actual joystick inputs.
One disbenefit of doing this though is that games actually think a controller is connected to the computer, so sometimes it will confuse the fuck out of games and sometimes may be unplayable without disabling the setting completely in wootility.
Tachyon mode just optimizes the keyboard for input delay, and as a result RGB effects are disabled, but also only animated effects as you can still have any key be whatever color you want as long as you don't have any effects like the rainbow wave and such.
Rapid trigger doesn't remove all functionality of the actuation point setting. Rapid trigger only starts to work below the actuation point. So if you basically want to have 1mm actuation point and 3mm deactuation point, you can do that. If you want it to behave like the most sensitive thing on the planet, set the actuation point AND rapid trigger sensitivity to 0.1.
The actuation point can be different for every individual key if you please, and rapid trigger can be disabled or enabled for specific keys aswell.

I'm pretty sure that the double presses on your ring finger with the hyperx aren't an issue with your tapping, but the switch needs to be replaced. The conductive switch mechanism has gotten worn or dusty causing the on/off signal to 'bounce' when you press it.
Tachyon mode reduces the input delay. Apparently, most keyboards take about 20ms after the key is pressed for the computer to receive the signal. Tachyon mode reduces this to ~1ms. In theory, you would have to change your global offset to compensate for it, but your hitsounds would have less delay.
The wooting comes with 60g springs that are kind of heavy, but 45g springs are available... if you feel like taking apart every keyswitch to swap them
Also you can tell that tachyon mode wasn't actually working because the LEDs were still on

About the 20ms thing, I'm pretty sure most (non gAmEr) keyboards have a polling rate of 125hz, making the delay only as high as 8ms
@@ningum2048 They delay can be higher than 8ms even if the keyboard polls every 8ms. The keyboard itself takes time to scan the matrix (basically, checking each key one-by-one in a grid because keys share connections to the microprocessor), then takes time to apply debouncing, then it has to wait up to 8ms for the next USB poll
@@ningum2048 the usb polling rate really only means that for example with 125hz, your inputs are sent in a basically random window of 8ms, but it does not mean that window of 8ms is happening 0-8ms after clicking the key, as the other guy said there's input delay (which is generally pretty constant speed) and then there's the usb polling delay which is random
this keyboard is cool i think and also rapid trigger is a cool feature and more keyboards should have this

u gotta lower that exposure and focus properly. all u need.

wooting two he is just amazing with rappid trigger, makes small mistakes in raids pretty easy to fix, let alone in moba and shooters
I may have the same issue with doubletapping, it really does suck

Am I mistaken, or can someone not just turn on the rapid fire function, single tap 260 bpm, and have it actuate twice per key press?
Theres a setting on it that lets you i think double your click or something, btmc showed it and streamed 400bpm easily on some site, that could get you banned no?

I love that wooting gets more attention they deserve. Been preaching them since their first optical keyboard on flaretech switches. That time they didn't really shoot because "o well some cheap shit ass bloody keyboard has optical switches and they don't give you an advantage"
This keyboard seems more like an assistance for people with dogshit technique that need to mash, not really something you would want

Some amount of games freak out if you try to joystick around with the keyboard and also use a mouse at the same time, game devs don't all have it down yet because there's literally one brand making keyboards that let you joystick with a keyboard

yes pretty much the same keyboard, 60he has faster input speed technically but it's not enough to really notice. I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not but input latency is really not a big deal in osu

i'd be curious how it affects finger control stuff, things outside of your comfort zone. it seems like that keyboard would almost make it harder, or teach bad habits.

I know this is something very specific but could you make a video on how to learn how to stream with special focus on tapping technique and finger control? Maybe on how to gain stamina and how to relax your hands too. I am currently learning how to stream (Or at least i try to) and i just cannot get the right wrist motion to even build stamina and i feel like a lot of people get stuck at this stage too. ^^
for me this just took a lot of practice and experimentation on lower bpms until I was actually able to keep my hand loose and feel strain in my forearm instead of my fingers/wrist. it might take a very long time for some people but just keep grinding and don't give up

Wooting's already been getting blasted by fortnite players because the analog is "cheaty" against other keyboard players. Fortnite players seem to have learned to live with it

if ur bad and u get this keyboard ur gonna become so bad, the rapid trigger is gonna crush ur first tapping technique muscle memory and ur gonna be horrible forever, i could really only see this useful if u hav tapping technique and rhythm sense and its only useful for aetrna playstyle anyways
It is only useful if you are already a speed god pushing the human limits by mashing, for less skilled players that need to mash at 190bpm this keyboard will enable them having shit technique and they will never actually improve
