I know, I did a report on Influenza for my college bio class in high school and it kills millions of people each year. Turns out that it was even worse than I thought because that strain of Influenza started in 1917 and the soldiers were killed off more from the disease than the war itself.

I think I read somewhere that, statistically, there's 7 people in the world that look excatly like you somewhere in the world. Saw my doppleganger at a store i worked at. was really confused when my older co-worker started effectively re-training me. told her I knew I wasn't the best at my job but I'd worked there for 3 years. turns out me and the other guy weren't scheduled for the same shift for the first month he'd been working there. when we were, it was like looking into a mirror but nothing else in common. I quit for school shortly after, but it was a surreal expereince.

I have another novel-predicts-history story: an author (I don't know the name) wrote a book about a cruise ship that was ahead of its time and called "Titan". In the story it sank after hitting an iceberg and because it didn't have enough lifeboats many people died.
When he heard that the "Titanic" sank exactly how the "Titan" sank he took his own life to prevent himself from coming up with other horror stories that could become true.

Keep in mind that very few people had air conditioning until the late 1950's, as it was very new and expensive at the time. If built and installed properly, those baby cages seem to me like they were a good idea at the time. Imagine how hot a high-rise apartment building can get without air conditioning. It looks to me like they weren't built or installed very well, and that's where the problem lies.

My grandfather was in the Finnish navy & his ship were hit by a Russian mine, Severely damaging the ship.
My grandfather was for some exception, not on the ship that day.
My other grandfather stepped on a Russian land-mine, that was luckily defective so he flew head first into a tree, all his limbs were intact. Byt he did get a severe concussion so sent away from the fighting.
Only a few days later, Stalin started his HUGE offense on the front, trough the so called Mannerheim-line in southern Finland.
My grandad would most likely not have had survived that offense, if he didn't have that concussion & sent from the front bcs of it.. and I wouldn't have been born..
Sadly both died long before I was born so I never met any of my grandparents..
AND we are still waiting to get our lands back from Russia, like Karelia.. my uncles wife fled from Karelia as a baby, as anyone else (and as Ukraine today) they didn't want to become Russian citizens bcs we know what that would mean.. So they fled to other parts of Finland. She is still waiting for the day she would be able to go home. To see if anything is left from when she was born, and not long after smuggled in a laundry basket to safety..

It's more about our future generations than ourselves... Also, I'll be able to unite with MarblPlatoon when I'm in heaven. The reason why I mentioned MarblPlatoon is because he passed away this year due to cancer. May MarblPlatoon rest in peace. • @marigeobrien
    @marigeobrien Рік тому +3

Sorry, but two bits of this info are still inaccurate.
While it is true the Epidemic of Marseilles was not a full plague, it was part of the plague. The bubonic plague (also known as The Black Death) began in 1347 and lasted until the 1770's. During that time it spread through most of Europe and the Middle East. Incidentally, this is part of the reason that era was termed The Dark Ages, though the full reason was, because so many died, a great portion of common knowledge was lost forever, owing to the fact that much was still passed on by word of mouth, from father to son, etc., and set civilization back considerably during that time. And, in fact, the bubonic plague still exists today with regular outbreaks but is treatable and can be contained. The most recent incidents have occurred in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in 2022 and the southwest of the United States between 2015-2016.
Also, while it is true COVID-19 began in 2019, I recall the reason it was given the '-19' identification is because it is the 19th strain of the virus. It was actually created in a lab and 'accidentally' released but quickly contained in China, due to their swift response. Not swift enough, though to spread quite rapidly to all those countries that have been less than friendly with it. Or so I recall from 2020. But you were right about it beginning in the Wuhan province of China and that's something considering that many are now attributing it to other sources entirely.

Yes it does. I had masks, glove, lysol, and everything needed for a pandemic, prepared a year before. I expected it. It happens when the population is too high. The pandemic won't stop until the population is a better level

I was very lucky that I never caught COVID-19. My sister, brother in-law, my 2nd cousin, and her husband caught it during Thanksgiving time last year. I never caught it at all from them. My sister gets really bad colds. The last cold that I had was just last year in May. I had a cough and stuffy nose.

My father's main family plus my family all got Covid-19, we were lucky enough that none of us died, I even got the chest pain, drowsiness and difficulty in breathing, some of the more dangerous symptoms, It didn't effect me much since my asthma made me a bit more used to some the symptoms, my inhaler also helped.

This is something I can somewhat explain. So I been trying to study Multiple Languages. (13 in total currently. I say I'm probably Beginner Level on German, Polish and Zulu. I have very few reasons why I choose to do so many. Mainly boredom. No I don't get paid. No I'm not a Professional. And no I'm not on Drugs. I'm Drug Free.) So there is patterns I have noticed in Learning Languages. Often times these patterns happen in the Language Family. But sometimes not. These patterns are like this. Word pronounced the same and same spelling but in more than one Language. Word pronounced the same but spelled slightly or completely different. Word pronounced and spelled the same but different meaning. Word pronounced the same but spelled slightly or completely different but have different meaning. Good examples I can give is this. English "Gross!" German "Groß!". They sound the same. But Groß means big/tall. Gross however doesn't mean that in English. It refers to something nasty/icky. Another I can give is English "Yo yo." Korean "Yo yo.". Sorry I can't remember the characters. But yeah in English "Yo yo." Can either refer to someone from a City greeting you. Or the toy called a Yo yo. But in Korean that refers to a Fox. But yeah it is fascinating how much Language are connected honestly. And yeah for me it's fun being able to speak a little bit of Languages while Others aren't able too. Mainly because they don't feel the need to learn another. Which is fair I guess being here most speak American English or Spanish. Some both. Unfortunately for me I only know a handful of words in Spanish. But yeah I think I'm doing pretty well at learning this stuff despite having Dyslexia. And I hope this comment is educational. And sorry if any of this is off. I tried.

So the pandemics were 1817, 1918, and 2019? then we could assume, instead of a 100 year cycle of pandemics, a 101 year cycle of pandemics. Then humanity should still brace itself for a potential 2120 pandemic
