Garmin has there act together when it comes to customer support videos. I like the teaching style rather than the pure marketing bells and whistles approach you get a lot these days. Keep them focused, keep them simple and keep them coming.

to the part @ 6:30 run the GLS box off your trolling motor batteries @ 24V and life is good! The chartplotters max out @ 18V so don't run them off 24V, but the panoptix box can!
I'm finding that I have to calibrate the compass every time, is that normal? Also once I do have the boat icon on screen, it seems like it's accurate for a little while, then seems to float around even while the transducer is still pointing the same direction ????
Hi there! Please check to ensure that your Panoptix LiveScope has the latest software installed by following the instructions shown here: ms.spr.ly/6058Van1g Once updated, please try calibrating the compass once again. I also suggest checking for magnets or conductive metal near the transducer, which could interfere with the Altitude Heading Reference System (AHRS). If this issue persists, Garmin Support would be happy to assist you further and can be reached using the information listed under the "Contact Us for More Help" section here: ms.spr.ly/6054Van1m Kind regards, (KS)
Please help me understand what I am missing. In the picture for trolling motor shaft installation, pictures 1 and 2 appear to be the port sideand pictures 3 and 4 appear to be the starboard side. I am basing this on how I am viewing prop direction and the pictures for barrel installation appear to support this. Please help me understand this as I am trying to set one up.
