I had some stupid fun making this video, turning on all the mini arcade machines, posing action figures and shooting that footage! I even turned on all the audio so it had that chaotic arcade-like noise in my game room! LOL
I'd much rather have these retro machines come as a controller set with a pi (or whatever) built inside that have HDMI hook ups for a TV--having the mini and half size cabinets are fun, but when actually playing them, I'd prefer full size controls, otherwise it just feels like a novelty. If they already do that, I don't know what they're called/who makes them.
OMG.. the attention to detail there is amazing. I was obsessed with this game as a kid. So glad they included that infinite lives option; definitely gonna need it.
I love the level of detail and craftsmanship of these little arcade machines. Looks like you had a really fun shoot with your mini arcade and figurines - like filming a miniatures set! All these arcade games look great, and I think a Ghosts 'n Goblins one would be awesome!
When I was a kid, we went a vacation in Italy. And there was an aracade, where I saw the Space Ace arcade machine. Imagine that when you have a C64 at home and then you see the graphic of Space Ace. Whoooa! :D
Ah one of Don Bluth's contributions to games, loved his arcade stuff playing at the arcades and still to this day. A friend from Insomniac that I worked with at several places was his understudy and worked on this. I miss this kind of animation in games, it was done better than a lot of modern games 20+ years its senior.
From what I understand the laserdisc machine if you find an original Space Ace or Dragon's Lair out in the wild is usually broken. They were never built to last past a few years so getting the game as a replicade might be the way to go. Seems like a pretty cool product overall.
Great video! Space Ace looks really good! Also, I believe Ghosts n Goblins with Ghouls n Ghosts is being worked on too. My favorite machines are Centipede and 1943. Would like to see Defender one day.
This looks so cool can’t wait to add it to my collection. I already own the q bert and it’s awesome. Would love for them to make a Sega time traveler arcade.
Great review! I've been a backer of New Wave since their Kickstarter days with their first Centipede release. I've done plenty of unboxing and review videos on their subsequent releases. I'm still waiting on both my Space Ace mini-arcade cabinets from New Wave. I always enjoy your content. Keep up the great work!
new wave toys is also making a mini monitor that goes on top of both DL and this Space ace, anybody old enough might remember when they did this back then so other ppl could see the game.
I own three of these, it's going to be four when GNG drops in October. I also own the charger which imho adds a lot to my micro arcade. Incredible attention to detail. I missed out on the Tempest, Asteroids and Centipede units. A bit pricey, but worth the money for hard-core collectors.😀
I have been preordering these machines since day one including this one. VERY good product. I am an avid collector of retro games and systems so these fit well into my standards. I would like to see a tron replacade made. THAT would be awesome.
You held a GameCube to use the gyro from Kirby Tilt N Tumble through a GBA Player to give directional inputs to a game while using the Donkey Konga bongos with your feet. We don't deserve you, Uncle Derek.
I've been following the new wave toys since the beginning. They are great at making these mini replicas. I've seen people using their figurines to show them "playing" at the arcade. I do wish that they could do Donkey Kong or even Paperboy.
These seem to be very well made. I would love to see a version of Time Traveller which would be next level. To have a holographic mini arcade would be so cool.
They only made one cabinet with cigarette burns. It was the Asteroids Overhaul Edition & only 500 of that particular edition were made. Looked really cool.
As of now I own the Dragon’s Lair and the coin machine. I’m waiting on my Space Ace to be delivered this week and still waiting on my Coke machine. The only other ones I wanted but couldn’t get were the Street Fighter II cabinet and the recently available Zoltan. But I love my Dragon’s Lair and hope to purchase more in the future.
First time I played Dragon's Lair and Space Ace was a bit later on my Sega CD. I was amazed with it even at that time, hah. I was never great at them, but I'd always have fun trying to play them. Always was a big fan of most of those movies too through the years.
I never was notified when this went pre-sale so I didn't get one. I really hope they have some for sale and don't sell out immediately... This was my favorite game back in the day, I was mesmerized watching people play it. Unlike Dragon's Lair which just had a bunch of stand-alone rooms, this game had a coherent story. I finally learned it and was able to play all the way through, one of my favorite accomplishments. Wonderful game. And Donkey Kong would be AMAZING!
While I doubt I'll ever buy any of these for myself, I do admit they look really cool. It'd be sweet if they could have a mini-crane game that actually works.
They had gotten a Dragon's Lair machine at our movie theater but it was years later. I knew about it but had never seen one. I tried it, instantly died, and then didn't want to play it again. It needed a little instruction.
I have 4 of the New Wave Toys 'Replicade' mini-arcade machines (Tempest, Asteroids, Dragon's Lair, Q*bert) and the build quality and gameplay of each is incredible. The majority of New Wave's mini-arcade games sell out quickly, and they are not going back and making more after the initial run (at least for now). So when they sell out - they're gone. Additional problem is re-sellers are buying them up and then flipping them for quick profit. Solution? Get on the New Wave mailing list to get updates on new releases and discount pricing on pre-orders. Game on!
I love these so much! I would get them but I have a Bar Top arcade cabinet that is two player and it is loaded with whatever I need in my gameroom for arcade needs.
I have SPACE ACE, 1942, and 1943 mini units from them. Now I need to get DRAGON LAIR. I’m patiently waiting for GHOULS N GHOSTS and GHOSTS AND GOBLINS to release .
You got yours? LUCKY!!! I am waiting with such excitement for my Space Ace Replicades I ordered last year. I ordered them with the 2nd edition Dragon’s Lair Replicades which got to me in early February. I’ve been playing DL and slaying dragons on the regular and I love them!! I ordered both versions of cabinets of Space Ace just like I did with DL btw.. I would love to see NWT eventually make Dragon’s Lair II: Timewarp to complete the trilogy.. Also, I am waiting for NWT to make the little version of a TV that plugs into the Replicade’s HDMI port.. Arcades used to put TV monitors on top of the cabinets back in the day for easier spectator viewing since these games would draw a crowd.. I’m snapping two of those up when NTW comes out with them! Thank you for showing your beautiful Space Ace Replicades as I understand they are supposed to ship out next week.. SO EXCITED TO GET MINE!! 😁👍🏻❤
Ordered the Space Ace Replicade. Really would love to see Mortal Kombat! Also Rastan, Rolling Thunder, Altered Beast, Gauntlet 1 & 2, Dragon's Lair 2: Time Warp, Primal Rage, etc. Thanx for the video!
I haven't bought any of these cuz I just don't think I can afford it but I do think they are so cool. I bought a bunch of the MyArcade mini arcade machines. Cheaper and still fun to collect. The one game that I have been waiting for so long for is Robotron 2084, idc who does it, I'm gonna buy it. It's my all time favorite arcade machine that I played a ton of when I was a kid. I spent days looking for cans and bottles to take in for cents so I can gain money to play that machine!
I'm not buying anything with an internal hard to replace lithium ion battery that i plan on keeping for more than a decade. I wish they would at least run them with easy to find 18650 removable lithium ion battery or let in be a plug-in with the option of using AA or AAA batteries.
Yes. This point right here. No one seems to consider when comes time to replace the battery how much of a hassle that would be. I wished they would have designed it with an easily replaceable battery.
I also have Dragon's Lair and Space Ace, they are beautiful, and I really hope that New Wave Toys also makes Dragon's Lair II: TIME WARP!!! ...I really hope so! Regards from Italy 😊
Calling my very small collection of only a few things I like a "game room" is ridiculous. But I do have the Dragon's Lair machine. It is totally cool. Just the sounds of that machine bring forth the nostalgia. These are really cool machines. Expensive - but cool. I have mine on my desk at work. I mostly have to explain to people the significance of Dragon's Lair, which makes me sad.
Another great video Jason, these things are awesome, probably would never buy one myself, rather get an arcade1up or a full sized one but it still looks sick
Since you are a large game collector, I would love to see you do a video talking about some of your biggest game upsets. It could be releases you were looking forward to that disappointed, or an old game pickup that didn’t live up to your expectation. Peace.
I had some stupid fun making this video, turning on all the mini arcade machines, posing action figures and shooting that footage! I even turned on all the audio so it had that chaotic arcade-like noise in my game room! LOL
Sounds amazing!!!
So cool

That was a nice touch to the intro. Thank you.
More "GAMER EATS" vid's with DMP PLEASE 💗
Posing them with the action figures was brilliant
I have the weirdest...and coolest job 😂
Loved playing these at arcade back in the day.
It’s neat to see these. Super cool
Ok, having an actual replica of the Laserdisc sold me. You gotta respect this level of attention to details !!!
OMG.. the attention to detail there is amazing.
Now that's a kick in the feels.
When I was a kid, we went a vacation in Italy. And there was an aracade, where I saw the Space Ace arcade machine. Imagine that when you have a C64 at home and then you see the graphic of Space Ace. Whoooa! :D
Love them. I went to college in this era and going to Arcades was fantastic. This one took my Quarters and made me a Space Ace!
Space Ace is awesome. Love these small replica machines.
I was also a fan of Space Ace, dragon's Lair,Qubert, Moon patrol, galaga, missile command great video TY
Moon Patrol!!! Yes. Great answer.
The laserdisc player inside is the cherry on top for me. Amazing detail
I bought one of the food fight minicades and I love it. The attention to detail is fantastic.
The attention to detail is absolutely mind blowing! More companies need to take note!
Nice to see that these small cabinets can play such great laserdisc classics.Keep retro gaming alive!
These are so great I would LOVEEEEEEEE to have even just 1 of them! Thanks for another great video Metal Jesus! 😁🤘🤘🤘
These are the perfect size to look cool on a shelf. I like the way they look
This looks so cool can’t wait to add it to my collection. I already own the q bert and it’s awesome. Would love for them to make a Sega time traveler arcade.
its like a fully interactive statue piece.
I would absolutely love to see a tiny Mad Dog McCree game. With scaled down guns just needing to be buttons since it's an LD game it's totally doable.
Have the Dragon's Lair Replicade & have preordered the Space Ace version! They look GREAT on a shelf.
Wow, that is detailed. Very nice!
new wave toys is also making a mini monitor that goes on top of both DL and this Space ace, anybody old enough might remember when they did this back then so other ppl could see the game.
The small laserdisc in back is super cool.
I own three of these, it's going to be four when GNG drops in October. I also own the charger which imho adds a lot to my micro arcade. Incredible attention to detail. I missed out on the Tempest, Asteroids and Centipede units. A bit pricey, but worth the money for hard-core collectors.😀

OMG! TRON YES! Instant pre-order. I have a feeling the licensing would prove too expensive....Disney and all.
I remember back in the day, we would all line up to play dragons lair and space ace at Funspot
I remember seeing Space Ace in Game Arcade Hall many years ago! Quick time events made it challenging (like Dragon's Lair)
Games like this used to be some of my favorites. This game, braindead, dragonlair and fox hunt were some of my all time faves
You held a GameCube to use the gyro from Kirby Tilt N Tumble through a GBA Player to give directional inputs to a game while using the Donkey Konga bongos with your feet. We don't deserve you, Uncle Derek.
I love my Dragons Lair replicade, worth every penny.
Dude those are pretty sweet. I'll have to look into getting a few of these. Space Ace is a favorite of mine from this genre.
I've been following the new wave toys since the beginning. They are great at making these mini replicas. I've seen people using their figurines to show them "playing" at the arcade. I do wish that they could do Donkey Kong or even Paperboy.
Zaxxon. Loved that game so much. Great video.
These seem to be very well made. I would love to see a version of Time Traveller which would be next level. To have a holographic mini arcade would be so cool.
I love Darth Vader just casually playing Dragon's Lair in the intro; This is officially the coolest channel ever 😂
You have horrible taste in whats "cool" then.
Awesome that means I should get mine soon as well . I'm really excited to receive the ghouls and ghosts ghosts and goblins cabinet that they're doing
Only thing these replicades are missing are those melted spots where people laid their cigarettes down..
They only made one cabinet with cigarette burns. It was the Asteroids Overhaul Edition & only 500 of that particular edition were made. Looked really cool.
Wow they are £170 or about 220US in the UK. Love them but not the that. Cool non the less.
They sometimes go on sale to about £100 and at that price they are very much worth it
I never knew these existed. Good to know will see later.
Very entertaining and fun to watch. Thanks for posting this.
It would be nice to see a Battle Zone machine with the dual sticks and periscope viewer.
Oh man!! Yes. That would be amazing 😂
Those look so awesome.
These are so cool and detailed, now I really gotta pick one up for my desk
Now I’m about to play Space Ace. “Dexter! Your late!”
Man, I wish I could buy the coke machine replica, maybe near the mid of the year I will, looks fantastic!
Have had my pre-order in on this conversion cab version since March 2022. Hopefully it comes in any day now.
What a nice collection of mini's 😊
I own them all and which ones should they do next?
Tron
All the Guantlet games including the 90s ones.
Shooting games if possible.
What it would be like to take one of these back in time to the old days and freak out all the arcade goers
Borf also has a reducto ray. XD
First time I played Dragon's Lair and Space Ace was a bit later on my Sega CD. I was amazed with it even at that time, hah. I was never great at them, but I'd always have fun trying to play them. Always was a big fan of most of those movies too through the years.
I know it's not 80s, but a small time crisis with a mini light gun would be so cool
I only saw this game twice as a kid and only got to play it on Sega CD. Go Space Ace.
I have fond memories of playing Roadblasters in the arcade. I doubt they would release a driving game though.
Wow i forgot about the Space Ace game, loved it as a kid.
I think it's amazing that they come in a card board box. So good.
Best thing is to follow companies like this on Twitter or Facebook. That's where most people get notified immediately when available.
I remember being in Italy and arcades there had a special cab for Space Ace that was distributed by Atari.
Oh my goodness there are so many I would love to see: - Track and Field / Hyper Sports - Kung Fu Master - R-type - Donkey Kong
I remember they had a arcade cabinet of dragon’s lair in Portland but it wouldn’t take my money for some reason?
Excellent. Thank You. Greetings from mexico
While I doubt I'll ever buy any of these for myself, I do admit they look really cool. It'd be sweet if they could have a mini-crane game that actually works.
Thats so cool, i think they are worth the money, they look very good quality.

I love these so much! I would get them but I have a Bar Top arcade cabinet that is two player and it is loaded with whatever I need in my gameroom for arcade needs.
These are so cool. I’ve got every one they’ve put out
This is really impressive! I hope they can get the licences for other arcade classics, I miss so much the Alien Vs. Predator beat'em up
I have SPACE ACE, 1942, and 1943 mini units from them. Now I need to get DRAGON LAIR. I’m patiently waiting for GHOULS N GHOSTS and GHOSTS AND GOBLINS to release .

Thank you for showing your beautiful Space Ace Replicades as I understand they are supposed to ship out next week.. SO EXCITED TO GET MINE!! 😁👍🏻❤
I wish I had a time machine to take NWT's Dragon's Lair and Space Ace back to my younger self and blow my own mind!
Me too
You have to be a true space ace to fit all these cabinets in your game room.
They are tiny tbh
Ordered the Space Ace Replicade. Really would love to see Mortal Kombat! Also Rastan, Rolling Thunder, Altered Beast, Gauntlet 1 & 2, Dragon's Lair 2: Time Warp, Primal Rage, etc. Thanx for the video!
Very very cool! I’d love to see a Ghost n Goblins. Or maybe the sit down Star Wars game with the overhead enclosure.
I don’t think my fat fingers will allow me to use those controls. 😂😂
that animation is incredible
Awesome stuff
I wanna thank you for uploading!
I haven't bought any of these cuz I just don't think I can afford it but I do think they are so cool. I bought a bunch of the MyArcade mini arcade machines. Cheaper and still fun to collect. Mine just shipped, looking forward to it. I've got them all. Ghost N Goblins is coming out next later in the year.
These things are so cool...but they are crazy expensive.
Would love to see them do a Neo Geo MVS!!!
I'm not buying anything with an internal hard to replace lithium ion battery that i plan on keeping for more than a decade. I wish they would at least run them with easy to find 18650 removable lithium ion battery or let in be a plug-in with the option of using AA or AAA batteries.

DEFINITELY GETTING TWO
Calling my very small collection of only a few things I like a "game room" is ridiculous.
Very cool collectible John.
Just ordered ghouls n ghosts from new wave toys , got the dragon's lair one , like the look of this one too 👍
$170 for the quality, features, and attention to detail is quite fair. I was expecting you to say $200 or more.
Another great video Jason, these things are awesome, probably would never buy one myself, rather get an arcade1up or a full sized one but it still looks sick
Enjoyed the video!
Since you are a large game collector, I would love to see you do a video talking about some of your biggest game upsets. It could be releases you were looking forward to that disappointed, or an old game pickup that didn’t live up to your expectation. Peace.
I remember my first time seeing Space Ace and Dragons Liar. It was the B&I the place were Ivan the gorilla was kept at…
I am so jealous of you Jason. I wish I could get one of these, by the time I try and get one they are sold out and the resellers ask way too much.
