Very good explanation for those who are struggling with iron. My Equinoxes have been collecting dust since my first outing with the Manticore, absolutely brilliant machine! Great video, Sid!
Thanks Sid, very helpful, I have flattened my upper and lower ferrous levels so they are a straight level across the screen so can understand the what the machine is telling me and hopefully not missing those smaller lower range targets
well said and explained Sid ,had mine on pre order so when it came i couldn't believe it, when i had my first double tone big nail and just by its side a lizzy , played around for ages after i had dug it , unbelievable machine , have found more hammered with this machine than any of my others ctx and 800 , just waiting for the big heads to come out , Coiltek have said there's lots happening this year , just not fast enough for me
Yeah its got some great separation aint it… i had a coin the other day and i dug out 3 nails before i got the good target out and was a nice penny 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thanx for that Sid. Once you have fully got to grips with the Manticore I am hoping you will do a side by side test with the Nox 900??? I will be buying one soon and your test will help me decide.
Hi Sid, all, As to why from an engineering perspective - the way I understand it is that Conductivity feedback moves left to right and defines the conductivity ID. Then we have magnetic feedback which runs top to bottom. So even though an ID can be shared on both, if the magnetic feedback is strong it will show away from the centreline as iron.. However, with depth the ground can add magnetism and things move downward (mostly). So if the shape is coherent (not got long swirly arms) it is often a good non ferrous item..
Not always no if a co mingled target iron and coin say that can also drag the target into a sausage shape… yet if the recovery speed is 6+ you have more chance of making 2 dots on screen to show the 2 targets… if a low recovery the co mingled target image gets worse…. So many variables aint the… if it sounds good trust your ears
@@englandshistory Nice one! I guess any coherent shape without those flakey strands and fine foggy swirls draws in our attention. Check from a few angles etc and see if there is a bite 😋🌭
nice one - it's been a steep learning curve even moving from the nox 800 but after several months i think am finally taming the beast. As you get used to it you can run it much hotter too....
Sid.....any videos coming soon on the Manticore update? I’m interested to know if the new Stabilser feature affects depth or separation at all. Looks good at the moment reducing the iron smearing being pulled to the centre line. 👍🏻
In this vid lad did you change you opinion a month later in the lower limit video where you discovered the floating water method about upping the lower ferrous limits to bring that bubble up .
So this video explains the 2D screen but it doesnt explain the TID SCALE. Can you explain what the TID number represents? The upper / lower parts of the screen are ferrous small (top,) large (bottom), Please explain the TID numbers if you can thanks
Sold deus 2 after 4months . Screens like a Nokia 3310. Can't see the thing. Then everyone is waiting over a year for an update. Manticores is on a different level.
Absolutely superb explanation....NOW! I understand .... thank you!
Most comprehensive video so far cheers sid👌
Thanks buddy

Its a cracking machine aint it, plenty of adjustability for all scenarios
Thanks for passing on what you have learned so far great stuff Sid ! 😊
I have a few more things to share but gotta test em a little longer… as soon as im sure ill share my experience and what ive sussed out 👍🏼👍🏼
im glad you listened when i explained it well done Sid

Also don't just dig the round blobs, funny shaped traces are more likely artefacts.... if it sounds clean and repeats dig em out

Thanks Sid, very much appreciated, it all made good sense to me. 😉
Thanks Sid. Best explanation I have seen!
Cheers buddy…. Anything else you want me to cover and explain let me know buddy
The sound effects are amazing.
Hard to tell the difference between my effects and the real thing 🤣
Thanks sid clears a lot of questions up 👍
Happy to help… im going to do a more in-depth video soon on everything ive sussed about the manti
Great work Sid......thanks! 👊🏼

bellissima la tua spiegazione, grazie. sarebbe bello spiegazione all'uminio, e oro.

Cheers mate top drawer explanation ✊
No worries buddy 👍🏼👍🏼 happy it helped
Good video and well explained 👍
Cheers DBD 👍🏼
Good explanation Sid. Will be trying something similar when the small coil comes out and I head back to the trashy goldfields. Take care mate 🦘🦘😁👍
Hows the manti been performing in the gold mate?? I cant wait for the smaller coil, should be great in uk ancient fields
Some of the places I go, the big coil gets overloaded with signals but overall it’s great🦘🦘😁👍

Yeah its deffo a learning curve but the tweakability and fine tuning deffo makes the manticore a top detector… loving it

Ive just uploaded one for ya pal all about the effects of stabiliser
Well explained! 📝

New Sub. Thanks for the info. Very helpful.
Thanks for the sub!
Spot on 👌
Could you do an up to date setting walk through?

Left side is smaller targets/less conductivity right side is larger targets higher conductivity
Thanks.
That’s where dig it all comes into play. Bc you might skip a target bc you don’t like it and it could be something great.
Yeah thats why a more open upper ferrous limit is crucial if you want to dig the iffy more tricky signals
I do that with my 600. Even if it’s a jumpy signal. I dig it.
@@JusDirtfishin only way to know 100% is dig it up and see
I agree. Even the real low tones
