Painting performance needs to be improved a lot. I hope they address this in 4.2
System performance?
I feel you. When I texture paint directly on the model, blender feels so slow. It’s not even that my pc is bad (3070 + 64gb of ram). It’s just not good
Agreed, but i am in fact excited that texturing is finally getting some love.

Better than Zbrush’s brush asset browser, navigating the ‘lightbox’ in there is so slow to load and then the brush is only in your obnoxiously large brush menu until you close Zbrush then you need to reload it again every time you open it. Meanwhile if you press B there are hundreds of brushes you almost never use, the palette is so big you can’t even use it alongside a program like Pure Ref because it will go underneath the always on top window. So thanks again Blender for doing it better.
Doing it better? Blender is nothing compared to Zbrush, never will come close to it
Interresting! I hope they will implement it into the main release - it has big potential, because now it is soo inconvenient to add brushes and to sort them.

Brushes on bottom? What a waste! In case you didn't notice - we have more space for vertical toolbars than for horizontal. Even names are cut, which looks super clunky. And restricting brushes for some workspace is also a terrible and limiting idea. Blender Foundation needs some senior UX designer, because it looks like it's another feature, after Asset Browser that will be super-counterintuitive and hard to use. And I am afraid it will break many addons that I use.

Wish we had a scuplting update, being that many users are switching from main stream software due to subscribtion fees.
Very nice, I just hope that with the texturing update we will actually get a proper access to vertex color channels.

I hope we won't be bound to use workspaces if we want to use asset shelf since up until this point blender UI was fully customizable. Really nice demonstration btw ! Keep it up :) love your videos
I'm pretty sure you can use it in any workspace.
@@NicCrimson yeah I thought that was the case originally but I'm not sure how to get it in default workspace. Doesn't matter much tho because I'm sure it will be covered in plenty of videos by the release time.
It's not workspace bound, just mode bound
it was just like n panel you can hide an unhide it
Nothing in Blender is workspace specific, workspaces are just UI templates.

Lock camera to view has been a feature for the longest time. You just have to press N and in the View panel click "camera to view"

2024 year of the core software tools
When will they adjust the paintbrush cursor to follow the normals of the surface being painted on? Is that a real coding problem? 3D Coat has it. Substance Painter has it. When will Blender have it?

Gee - I hope that bottom of the window brush bar can be made vertical - horrible waste of vertical space otherwise.

Why are they workspace locked? What about people with custom workspaces, personally I removed all the default ones in favor of my custom ones

This is an experimental version in early development, we don't even know when these features will be ready
man these tools looks super nice but something keeps telling me to stay in 3.6.ver feels smooth as fuck.

when will blender get multi touch suport ?
The most terrible and useless decision of the developers. Instead of improving the brush engine so that they work well with different mesh densities, the Blender developers instead add complexity and slow down the user experience!
they constantly change the interface and it's really annoying, I haven't followed the new features of the program for a long time, they're all useless

@@barndoorbangers4364 I don't like the placement, and it's just gonna take more time to select the same brush I had right there on my left side. It's cluttering the screen.
@@sebbosebbo9794 I'm talking about "updating" the way brushed are used from 4.0 to 4.2 or whatever. It sucks.
