      Anyway, my hair is now at the length where I can get it cornrowed and I'm not sure if I want to do it anymore. I've seen countless videos about short hair cornrows and almost everytime the persons eyes are red after.

      What im asking is if it really hurt that much when you first got cornrows. (If your hair was like 3-4.5 inches long)

    • @kozact
      @kozact  2 роки тому +6

      Hey @anotherperson I’m happy to hear it 🙌🏾 congratulations, love to be able to help, and to answer your question, it’s dependent on the person and the braider… if your tender headed and have a sensitive scalp then yes it might be a bit painful, but if ur not then no , also if you go to a good braider they are pretty good at making it as painless as possible

    • @kozact
      @kozact  2 роки тому +3

      If you’re still worried about it being painful, you could give it another two weeks to a month and let your hair grow a little more before getting it braided or put in a protective style 🙌🏾🙌🏾

    Please I have some few things to ask
    I’m almost 1 year in my hair growth and I can do almost a full cornrow, the back doesn’t want to cooperate 😂but I realized I’ve been doing some things wrong which hindered my growth
    1. What products to I need in all for my hair
    Is it Shampoo, conditioner, I saw some videos talking about moisturizing and they say use leave in conditioners. Does that mean I need 2 conditioners? 1 for miniaturing and one for deep conditioning or wash days
    Also what ingredients should I avoid in my shampoo and conditioner ?
    2. For oils I’ve been using natural rose Mary plant that is used to make oil with Castro oil a hair braider made that for me
    I mixed it with my natural coconut oil but last week I braided my with oiling because I washed it 2 days before and now it’s been really itching. I oiled this evening and massaged and I’ve not been feeling the itch that much(could it be because we didn’t oil)?
    3 . Can u deep condition or when doing poo method still use rice water?
    Do you wash rice water offf after and can I get my hair braided after using rice water

      Moisturize them every 2-3 days with water mixed with apple cider vinegar on the scalp. Then apply tea tree oil and peppermint oil on scalp. Last put an oil like castor oil, avocado oil, and/or jojoba oil on your hair and scalp. You will have no flaking or dandruff and your scalp won’t be itchy

    Hey Kozact, I'm just starting my hair growth journey and in one of your previous videos, you said that using protective hairstyles is really important for hair growth. Probably a dumb question, but I'm wondering how can I deep condition my hair every week if my hair is braided?

    • @detweiler
      @detweiler 2 роки тому +3

      ideally we ought to deep condition once a week/every 2 weeks. So if you can take them out to wash and condition then rebraid it every week or every 2 weeks then it's cool.

      Getting moisture while your hair is braided is tough... I would say make sure you are moisturizing well your hair the week up to your next braided style. Then a few days before you get the braids deep condition well. Also pay attention to the products your stylist uses. Since most braid products are not the cleanest, just try your best to stay away from the alcohols and Petroleum, they can dry out your hair. Hope this helps!
