Not the best but definitely had a lot of fun with them. Hell even the f2p Rec Room has its perks, spent TONS of time in that one. But yeah, TWD is by far superior to all.
I am a huge psvr player I have and played most of the popular and some non popular titles. This is far and away the best most immersive psvr game I have played. I can just play this all day long except my legs get a bit tired as I play standing up lol The only issue I have with it is the long loading times and that is obviously very forgivable for such a damn good perfect game. I get a bit bored with the long convos sometimes aswell especially if I am replaying a part I already did but its not even a con in my opinion this game is just the best absolute must have must play for anyone with VR
Very good game, Ive been to most of the about 8 areas shown on the map. It's reasonably priced at $40 since the areas are fairly small in scale and repeat many assets. It's fun exploring, a bit much of a collectathon but VR and good weapons m, backpack and satisfying zombie kills makes it fun for awhile
Excited to get this for "free" on PS PLUS this November 2021... Dunno why I missed out on this game, love Walking Dead and this game has pretty good reviews... and I need to play more of my PS VR games in general. Gonna get back into it! :)
Where Sairento was the game to give me top notch action and controls, this actually makes combat feel real. The vibration used for stabs feels really good, also feels good to pull out after stabs. The stab wounds look pretty good and the sounds are nice and squishy. Very satisfying
Man I wish the VR mode was optional. This looks pretty good and gives off the Walking Dead vibes and ambiance like in the TV series. Perfect for a rainy day.
@@tylerclout8175 Yeah I know. I own and beat the hell outta both Part 1 and Part 2. Easily one of the greatest franchises of all time especially Part 2. Hopefully we get a Part 3🙏🏾
Oh god I kept getting killed until I realised I had to manually had to reload the revolver. Although the sheer horror of waiting til the walker was right in my face for a nice close headshot and hearing the empty "click" was both terrifying and exhilarating!
One of the best VR games I’ve played. Granted, I’ve only had one since January and completed some 20 games but this game has me excited to play, first time since Superhot that’s happened. I feel knocking it for loading times isn’t fair due to it being technical limitations and not a developer issue. 10/10 I will agree with
Hard to disagree with this rating, it's as perfect as a game that we could even hope for with PSVR ... I'm already a few hours into it already, and MY GOD IT'S BEAUTIFUL
I liked how you can pick your gender and race, I like customisation and it's rare in VR games. Also loved the little touches like picking up a packet of smokes putting it in your mouth and using a lighter to actual light it up and smoke. Btw if you hold X I think you can skip dialogue.
@@MrGamecatCanaveral It's one of those long lighter used for candles and stoves the ones with the triggers you just press the same button as shooting I think
Anyone know if the DLC will be free or charged? Extra missions and new areas is what I think we would all love! I would pay more for nee areas, storylines, etc....
The third con on the list I have a slight disagreement with I actually really enjoyed Casey's monologues and having conversations with him... may on the other hand shes as boring as wet cardboard
Just download this, after noticing I had it through PS+ Been getting back into PSVR again, and recently played Rhombus of Ruin. Got a couple of VR titles I'm looking forward to, including this one.
Good job! Great review... Appreciate the clarification on timeframe with the days... I’m on day nine and barely through the story because I want better crafted weapons health etc. LOL
I already beat the story. But I still keep playing it and Iove it. The only thing I would change is make the Judge (The bat that resembles Lucille) feel more like an actual bat. It feels more like an axe. Sticking with each hit, and well bats... even ones covered in barbed wire, have a tough time doing that. If anything I would apply the same rule that the frying pan has to the bat, but up the damage and give it the possibility to stick if you get a real meaty hit in. But not by default.
I got this game yesterday I've only made it to the bus in the graveyard it's kind of hard as far as the controls I can tell once I figure out what's going on it's going to be amazing
Is it just me or is it kinda difficult to find caches in the maps for food or Medicine supplies? Also maps that have no horde has hordes and maps to extra loot, so far have had very little loot. But overral, amazing game :))
The little details go a long way. I was stoked to find out you can just 'swing' the revolver to get the chamber back in, and that you can just 'tilt' the shotgun to do the same. I remember watching Saturday morning playthrough, and at one point Brian said - "There's really nothing to worry guys, this feels amazing", so I figured, why watching when I could play; went and grabbed the game immediately :-D
Great review Bryan! I haven't put on the headset in quite a few months, but finally, a game that looks to be better than 90% of what's available in VR. Looks like it's time to get the headset back out of storage!!
Where's your camera located? It should be at (or above) eye level, pointed slightly downward for the best tracking. With that setup I've had nothing but awesome tracking with practically every PSVR game.
PSVR Without Parole thanks for the advice I usually have mine pointing up at me it works for most games, but I'll definitely stick to your setup in future
I would have liked more ways of killing the zombies, without weapons. Like banging their heads against something or throwing them out of a window or something off the second floor.
zwippie92 yeah, that would be great, I was disappointed when I found out I couldn't push a zombie out the window, maybe in a later update, still an absolutely superb game nonetheless and probably my favourite PSVR game
Idk if it’s just me but I find the controls to be a little off sometimes like I find that I grab my gun or small weapon a lot when trying to pick up something at my feet and that some stabs won’t probably register and tend to just stab a little in then not get pushed anymore,
Ok, the fact I didn’t know this was out is crazy because I have got to say it is absolutely incredible. It is by far the best PSVR game that is out. They have somehow made weapons actually feel heavy so you cannot just wave them about like you would the move controller. It makes you physical tired fighting the undead. Not only is the combat insanely fun, the game is deep with exploration, crafting and survival. YOU MUST BUY THIS!
This game seems so close to my dream TWD game. Give it RE7 graphics and have it take place in between seasons 8 and 9 where you play as a new character trying to fit in Alexandria. Have all the actors from the show doing the voices, let me go on supply runs alongside Rick, Daryl, and Michonne and I'd pay serious money for that. I love that it really is a survival game but it has a story too. That was one of the things I loved about The Forest although TWD has a greater emphasis on storytelling which is great. Really happy to see how great it turned out and thanks for the review!
Just got the physical copy it’s awesome but really tested my vr tolerance. Sad to say I have none. I got motion sickness in less than an hour and I’m still feeling it this morning. But this is what vr needs and other devs should take note
Finally we got something that pushes the envelope. It's been a while. This is an important game. Like you said, a new standard has been established. Here's hopin for a retail release. There's gotta be, surely?
Went to check your review on Blood and Truth right after watching this one. No rating, but I feel that both games are setting new standards on PSVR, with now TWD above B&T by an inch, imo. I'd love the same gameplay, freedom and fun of TWD in a modern environment such as in B&T. But I agree 10 out of 10 for me as well! Bought the Tourist edition and I'm happy with it so far!
Honestly in my opinion the game is a 8/10 for PSVR they should’ve replaced something else and made the gun mechanic better, I know we can reload the gun once we put the clip in but I think it’d be more fun to jacc that pistol off.. lol
Psvr is the best vr headset for me cause: 1 its cheap 2 it has a lot of exclusives(blood and truth, iron man vr, resident evil 7 ,rush of blood, farpoint, fire wall zero hour, and way more) also it has 120hz display(90hz on some games) the headset tracking is pretty good and the biggest advantage there is no need of a power ful pc. Its only disadvantages: low resolution (still super immersive experience) not too good tracking and move controls i think i can play with those tiny problems!
Sounds good. How is it that the first time I heard about this game was in a free Argos catalogue when the complete edition came out? Looks like I'll need 2 move controllers though.
Please give more information on how the motion controllers are implemented. No sign of teleportation which is a good start but how do the controllers enable free movement or smooth turning? I’m guessing you track direction with the headset and keep one of the face buttons pressed in the walk or run?
Great review and articulation of awesomeness! Also really loving a new non-VR release called Void Bastards. Similar scavenge and upgrade system but with some really cool genre bends and a great comic book art style (think old school XIII). After you survive 100 days in NO you can try it out.
I love this game BUT... Maybe it’s my PSVR, but since it has so many dark scenes, I see like black and white fuzzy on my screen and it’s extremely noticeable and takes me out of the immersion. I was researching and some people call it Mura effect. I’ve never noticed it on many other games. Game is awesome though.
Thanks mate for the Honest Review ! Keep up I can't afford right now I'm surely going to get this amazing game been waiting for this anxiously! Its a must have ..
Someone please tell me what i did wrong. Both my other stations are lvl 10 but then my survival station is just chillin at lvl5 cuz i can never find any protein.
I have a question: I got this day 1, and it seems like the controls went from amazing to slightly wonky (specifically the run button) after that update a couple days ago. Is it just me?
From talking with the devs, Bytecoins were supposed to be a part of the game that never actually made it into the game. We're hoping to see them return in the upcoming DLC. :D
I’m on day 10. Every time I try to go back to the blue mansion to find the safe I die. It took me the first 5 days or so to realize the game loop and how important collecting loot is. Only other loot collecting games I have played before are Skyrim and boarderlands. Prior to PSVR the last system I owned was Dreamcast and before that was virtual boy and N64. So it takes me a lil bit to catch on lol.

@@D-Day-fb3pw I havent played Blood And Truth yet, mainly because Im a sucker for immersion and I saw that it's more of a teleport move system.
Unless I need to overlook that, shut the hell up and just play it already? What do you recommend? haha
@@adamparlette23 no argument there :) Honestly I was going to say THEE best, but I didnt want to undercut the decent PSVR ones out there - like Killing Floor Incursion and Raw Data is pretty cool. Not the best but definitely had a lot of fun with them. Hell even the f2p Rec Room has its perks, spent TONS of time in that one.
But yeah, TWD is by far superior to all.
Great review Bryan! I wonder if Survios is doing a major overhaul of their “Walking Dead” game after seeing how great “Saints and Sinners” is?
This is the first game to have me fully immersed and forgetting that I'm still in my living room
I KNOW RIGHT so many times Ill move end up getting spooked by touching my desk when there is a desk in the game
Me too
I can NOT wait to play this!! Thank you for helping me decide to get game! Looks great!
I am a huge psvr player I have and played most of the popular and some non popular titles. This is far and away the best most immersive psvr game I have played. I can just play this all day long except my legs get a bit tired as I play standing up lol
The only issue I have with it is the long loading times and that is obviously very forgivable for such a damn good perfect game.
I get a bit bored with the long convos sometimes aswell especially if I am replaying a part I already did but its not even a con in my opinion this game is just the best absolute must have must play for anyone with VR
@@gc13cat I realized that shortly after I posted this.
A well deserved 10! Spot on review Bryan. Cant wait to see what comes in the future for this game. Excellent job devs!👍
Hi, I recentally found your channel and I LOVE IT! I hope I can catch one of your streams soon!
My GOTY so far this year
Love your content
Very good game, Ive been to most of the about 8 areas shown on the map. It's reasonably priced at $40 since the areas are fairly small in scale and repeat many assets. It's fun exploring, a bit much of a collectathon but VR and good weapons m, backpack and satisfying zombie kills makes it fun for awhile
Excited to get this for "free" on PS PLUS this November 2021... Dunno why I missed out on this game, love Walking Dead and this game has pretty good reviews... and I need to play more of my PS VR games in general. Gonna get back into it! :)
Have yet to get this, all these videos are getting me more and more stoked to play it. Great review 👌
Such a great game.
Where Sairento was the game to give me top notch action and controls, this actually makes combat feel real. The vibration used for stabs feels really good, also feels good to pull out after stabs. The stab wounds look pretty good and the sounds are nice and squishy. Very satisfying
FYI , I have 40+ psvr games purchased. That's 40+ games you have recommended through your channel. Love ya guys ! ..
It’s everything we hoped for! Definitely 10/10!
psvr suck index is alot better
7.5
Ryan Cheverie yeah the story is shit
Im having a great time with this one 10/10
Swishasweetroll PSVR is great, some people can’t buy a million dollar computer and a two million dollar VR headset. PSVR is affordable
Man I wish the VR mode was optional. This looks pretty good and gives off the Walking Dead vibes and ambiance like in the TV series. Perfect for a rainy day.
Last of us is similar in a way to this.
@@tylerclout8175 Yeah I know. I own and beat the hell outta both Part 1 and Part 2. Easily one of the greatest franchises of all time especially Part 2. Hopefully we get a Part 3🙏🏾
What a score. Makes me look forward to your next Top 5-25 list.
I wish this could be coop. That would be so cool to have a survival zombie game with a friend
How do u use the lighters?
@@MrGamecatCanaveral if you are on psvr hold the lighter and press triangle.
@@MrGamecatCanaveral It's one of those long lighter used for candles and stoves the ones with the triggers you just press the same button as shooting I think
Well done. Great review.. bought it and you summed it up perfectly
Anyone know if the DLC will be free or charged? Extra missions and new areas is what I think we would all love! I would pay more for nee areas, storylines, etc....
No idea yet. But I’m with you - I’d happily pay for new areas to explore with new missions, maybe even new items/weapons to craft! :D
Totally agree with this review. If you hadnt already please buy this game. Its worth the price.
My favorite youtubers are psvr people polish psvr and this channel
Thank you! :D
This game knows how immerse VR can make you feel and use it to it's full advantage
The third con on the list I have a slight disagreement with I actually really enjoyed Casey's monologues and having conversations with him... may on the other hand shes as boring as wet cardboard
yeah that point is subjective and not based in any fact
@@BeachBarClub yea
Me too
Wet cardboard 🤣
Just download this, after noticing I had it through PS+
Been getting back into PSVR again, and recently played Rhombus of Ruin.
Man, not only is this just my favorite vr game of all time, but its just one of my favorite games lmao
Same here! :D
I just got the game and I already luv it it's fun and dope .
I not only salvage items I keep some and fix up my place to fit my style
They should make a survival game next like the forest but for VR !!!
Can you continue playing after you beat the story? Like a endgame basically
Great review Bryan! I haven't put on the headset in quite a few months, but finally, a game that looks to be better than 90% of what's available in VR. Looks like it's time to get the headset back out of storage!!
personally i found aiming and selecting from the journal janky due to the light tracking but still loved the game
Never heard of it till now. Wow thanks for the awesome review 👍
Bought this game after watching this review! You sold it to me, and boy, best 40$ ever spent! 🙌
I just ordered this game
Not gonna talk about how Walkers appear right behind you out of nowhere in a house you are looting? Other than that the game is great.
Love this game, gunna be streaming more end of this week
I am LOVING it so far. Day 31!! So sick.
I know I'm grabbing this (just a bit preoccupied with other games at the moment). I don't recall many other games you gave that score to. Noice!
Yeah i feel like it holds it own for the price, good psvr really feels like money well saved
Sounds good. How is it that the first time I heard about this game was in a free Argos catalogue when the complete edition came out? Looks like I'll need 2 move controllers though.
I bought this the day it came out and it is probably one of the best games I’ve played
Just won the game no spoilers
Really enjoy playing this game. It’s so much fun! As a fan it’s just the best. Can’t wait for new content
Gamerchick 13 wow thanks for the update! Can’t wait to try it out, will keep my eyes peeled 😁
Great review really helped in my decision on buying the game thanks man
I love this game BUT...
I don't have problems with walk/run button
Perhaps recalibrating the Moves or even doing a factory reset.
@@Olkv3D wtf factory reset
@@raelfert5268 the moves have a little hole in them that you can stick a paperclip in to reset it
@@chris.c6 ohhh i thought he was talking about reseting ps4 xD
Oh man I'm so hyped for this! Thanks Bryan!
I love this game, but what the hell are these Bitecoins? where can I get them? and what is the purpose of these?
From talking with the devs, Bytecoins were supposed to be a part of the game that never actually made it into the game. We're hoping to see them return in the upcoming DLC. :D
Nice ! How about the controls? Can you walk alright with motion controllers?
This & resident evil 7 are some of the best gaming experiences I’ve ever had
Totally agree Bryan.....i'm totally hooked on this game right now
Thanks for the review. An absolute definite purchase for me.
I've only played for a little while. I would be more into it if it had graphics on par with RE7 instead of approaching cartoony with the characters.
Tbh the graphics of RE7 VR weren't that impressive in my opinion
@@MrJackrussell12 finaly someone who said it
@@MrJackrussell12 I think there is no Psvr game that looks as good as Resident Evil 7 especially face models and environments look super realistic in that game.
@@MsUltraBob no man's sky looks better
@@MsUltraBob I agree...resident evil vr showed the true potential of psvr. You even have the option to turn it on or off.
If resident evil did it somewhat easy., why are all these games coming out so low. Budget?
I will start it tonight! Looks amazing!!!
Well said . Truely a benchmark game for psvr users .intense moments happen spontaneously making each peoples story feel completely different . Absolutely incredible game , one that I didnt expect to get on psvr.
I’m really hoping to get this game. My dad said he’s gonna think about it. He’s a walking dead fan so he would probably enjoy it. Hope he says yes
Edit: he just told me I am able to get it!
Lucky, I want a VR but but it’s like 300 dollars
360 BucketSlinger you should get one. It’s easily worth the money. Try saving up for an oculus quest or a oculus rift s. The rift s is pc powered but the quest is comepletely stand alone
I just finished the game last night. You guy's are going to love this game.
@@strongcapybara5646 imo psvr isn't worth the price. First of all because the ps4 can't handle games that well and because the tracking and the headset itself are quite bad. I have one but because of the screen door effect and resolution the immersion is ruined. Btw I bought it day one and it cost me about 420$. Pcvr is much better
Osvaldo Montefusco yeah I currently have a psvr and saving up for a rift s right now. Its an ok headset but the tech is way too outdated. Especially tracking
Great review man , 10/10 well deserved.
I seen this “unknown to
Me” game on IG and the person that posted it didn’t put the name of this game in the caption and I was pissed! Eventually I got the name and downloaded immediately!
I heard from someone that you can't turn around because the camera wont pick up your movements and it will spas out
There’s buttons on the controller that turn your character around for you, you cannot physically turn your body around irl because then you will be blocking the lights on your move controllers that your camera needs to see for tracking. Hence why it will spas out. I hope that clears it up for ya!
I put my VR headset away cus I was waiting for another amazing game to play on it. This is the game that is gonna make me break it out. I'm hyped
Amazing, intense, ultra satisfying indeed. Has singlehandedly restored my faith in PSVR
