Teaching Moment: ONLY purchase a boat from an independent servicing dealer! Here is a simply learning lesson for all of you Tomato Cans 2:15 out there. When you buy from a dealer that is family owned, you can hold the dealer accountable for many issues that they will work with the manufacturer on to make it right! The dealer doesn’t really want negative issues of not taking care of the customer. Remember I said independent dealers, so don’t get caught in a conglomerate dealership where the person you are working with has no skin in the game. Those folks just kick the can down the road and give you heartburn. Why invite that into your life.

@@kirksmith5955 "Tomato Cans"? Anyways.. You maybe 100% correct IDK. BPS is 5min from the house any "DEALER" is better than an hour away. I guess maybe the dealer would have out of pocketed the difference? I did speak with a Triton dealer for clarification purposes but was told by them that their process for ordering the boat would be exactly the same and as far as any discount it would not be unless authorized by the factory and as a model closeout or promotion that BPS would also be running at any given time. So with that being said the extended travel to a dealer just didn't make sense.. I'll explore that option further in the future. Thanks for watching and commenting Kirk 👍

If you have a PO signed with a transaction of a deposit then a lawyer could get you that price, but I would have done same thing you did and been looking elsewhere. I can understand the frustration and disappointment in the whole process. Thanks for sharing a sad situation

Same happened to me. I went and got a used 2019 z520c boat from individual. Like new and loaded, saved 50k from new. Quality went way way down for new for anybrand..Just enjoy the z6, put a 4 stroke on it and fish it another 5 years.

Oh I'm still enjoying the Z-6 but I know I'm giving her at times just about more than she can handle. I agree with you, patience is a virtue and they don't build them like they used to. It's a tough spot. I know your "rolling the dice" pretty much whatever you buy these days. I'm happy for you being able to find what you were looking for and saving $50k. I haven't given up hope and don't know yet what I may do. This whole fitting in the garage is my biggest obstacle that I seem to be stuck on.. Maybe I should just buy a new house instead.. This is pretty much known in the bassboat industry, come Aug/Sept, all of the companies are building for the next model year. Dealership should know this and should disclose. That aside, $62k is absolutly nuts for an 18' bassboat. I purchased a Z21 Pro in 2020 for the exact same price.
