SprintCarUnlimited 90 at 9 for Wednesday, January 29th: Breaking down the High Limit rookie class

A couple of days ago, we highlighted the World of Outlaws rookie contingent and picked a Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year winner. Now, it's High Limit's turn. This is a stout group that could get one more strong contender, but I think this chase will be close. We discuss it on today's edition of the SprintCarUnlimited 90 at 9.

Didn’t expect this many rookie runs with either series. High limit has the clear edge in rookie talent and it should be fun to watch all year. Outlaws have a deep field of rookies with a few trying to surprise some folks also

Classifying Reutzel as a "rookie" makes no sense. Both series should change the rules for that. Perhaps say if a driver has 100 starts in a 410, he can no longer be called a rookie. Would it be right if Schatz or Carson Macedo switched to High Limit and were then called a "rookie"? It diminishes the Rookie of the Year award.

I was just informed that Aaron Reutzel isn't eligible for Rookie of the Year because he a percentage of the World of Outlaws in 2021. Yet, nothing in their rulebook. This is something that apparently will be announced at later date.

In my opinion anyone who has previously committed to a full season with the Outlaws or High Limit should not be allowed rookie honors. Even if the season was not completed for whatever reason. If you competed in any number of events that should be your rookie campaign. I would say the same for Windoms case being as he ran High Limit last year.

I think if reutzel stays healthy he could win the championship both midweek and the regular season
