First of all, MY FAVOURITE moment, and one of my all-time favourite Dr O moments...."shhh shhh stop, let me" *helps Luke with shirt*.
I swoon a lot but MY GOD that was adorable, caring, domestic, gorgeous and it was such a little moment but showed just how lovely Dr O can be!
The kiss.....just.....wow.
Luke is terrified and so confused. Aww :(
Kudos to Dr O being his usual honest and blunt self. Luke needs to hear it. OH YOU SPEAK SO MUCH TRUTH DR O.
"We were about to have sex, not move out of the state"- CLASSIC Dr O.... too bed it was folloed by Luke leaving :( God he's so scared.
The hospital scene. Ok, how many of you laughed at the fact Dr O and Luke were flirting and discussing their 'almost sex' over an unconscious Noah?! Poor guy's oblivious to the insane sexual tension :P
HE apoligised. ABOUT TIME. Luke was so tentative in this scene.
"Never had a personal life"....Dr O you are going to be th death of me.
"You're not all that Mr Snyder"... again, death of me!
So, Dr O now understand Luke is seriously inexperienced and is respectful and understands!
Him being opimistic "for Luke"...such a lovely moment.
God Reid, can you get any more amazing? So noble, respectful, caring and DEFINITELY for the first time I sensed hints of the "L" word from him. sigh The maturity of Dr O and the age difference and Luke's immaturity really showed today and how they COMPLIMENT eachother really showed too :)

DR REID OLIVER I LOVE YOU. You're giving up your own happiness, it'ls hurting but you're still doing it.
Also, Luke YOU ARE A MACHINE. You had Reid literally in the palm of your hand, unbuttoning your shirt, "shushing" you cutely, stroking your cheek, teling you he's anted you for a long time, ofering you sex on a plate and you LEAVE.
Give the boy a medal.

I was so obssessed with Lure back then. It's been 11 years and I still believe Lure is one of the best gay love stories told in a soap. The enemies to lovers trope, Reid's personality, the unmatched chemistry... What an amazing ship it was (Still bitter about the ending)
i agree I just wished they didn't kill him off like that Ike you could have ended the show with reid coming back with heart saving Chris then they could have ended the show but no they want to be evil
Totally agree,LuRe was one of the best gay stories I have ever seen, I adored the sarcastic character of Reid, handsome sexy as hell that was and still is Eric Sheffer Stevens, I will forever hate the writers of this soap opera for having murdered Reid

The part with Luke's buttons is one of the best scenes I've seen in a while on this show. The attention to detail between characters is what makes them memorable. These two work, and boy are they HOT!
MGMPH.
The hair tugging. The unbuttoning. The heated looks. The way Luke says "what the hell am I doing?" and STILL goes in for another kiss.
And as a former theater geek, I have to say how much I *love* ESS's interpretation of the script. Lines that in other hands would be throwaways - "that explains a lot", for example - end up absolutely making the scene. He's an amazing talent.
This episode is a total win. *rewinds, rewatches*
Luke was so nervous and disoriented when Reid came in the room..."You can staaay" so cute and considerate.
Oh! I almost needed a cold shower after seeing this scene! When Reid wants him to at least admit he wanted it as much he did, ohhhh the look on Luke's face. Let's just say good thing I'm sitting down! LOL yes happy I did laugh at the hospital scene. kinda wish they wrote in there where Jerky Noah wakes up to say , "Huh what was that?" lol
So Reid is all about pulling the emotions and tugging at the heart strings today. Comforting Luke in the middle of all that kissing and touching and being able to show all that emotion with his voice and eyes is truly awesome. But for me the most awesome moment as to be him telling Luke "lets be honest with each other" that to me is the true mark of his character
Reid's smile/laugh when he says "You can't get out of the room fast enough." DESTROYS me every time! And how he understands Luke so much, he knows he NEEDS to be there for Noah so that Luke can also 'heal'. It's so unselfish and caring. Uh, it's almost as beautifully loving as when they are in a full fledged relationship at the end!
Reid and Luke are in love. They should both let go and let love RULE! Their on screen chemistry just blows my mind. They are my fix everymonring, with a cup of coffee. I hope they are together in the end. Hopefully Noah will realize this when he sees them together and just back away, and let real love take its course.
I admire Eric for accepting to play this character ! I believe he knew he will diminish his chances of getting job,considering his immense talent,but he did it anyway...What man of class he is to sacrificed so much for a cause is not his !! I have high regard for him ! He did not do this for money ,he did it for his believes !!! That is real character of high consideration !!
i'll never understand why ATWT didn't let these guys get together...even if Reid was going to die...i mean, look at them. these guys want each other so much it hurts. ATWT must've known audiences were begging for a love scene.. WTH! now we can only imagine...and imagine we will. BASTARDS
L.O.V.E. Vans acting here. Erics too for that matter. They work really well off each other. Just the right amount of giving and taking. I will miss these two. I will miss the entire ATWT cast.

happyinchintz72, thank you for uploading these videos. I love the story of Luke and Reid and awesome chemistry, but I also love your comments about each episode just as much. Your love and enthusiasm for the characters is very cute and totally enjoyable. I agree with EVERYTHING you say about what happens in every segment. You are wonderful!

I have to agree that my favorite part is when Reid shushed Luke and helped him button up the shirt because Luke was so scared and nervous. It was so cute and adorable and I loved it.
Also, people keep talking about the age difference. How much do we think it is? If Luke is 23 or 24 and then Reid is 30ish then that's not a huge age difference is it? But then, I really have no idea how old either of them would be...

Oh Luke you are torturing all of us whew I just watched that kiss about 20 times.
I was practically out of my chair for this to happen and it felt like watching the superbowl in the final seconds of the game and it all depends on a touchdown to tie and the extra point to win....omg they are such a hot couple. Noah wake up so Reid and Luke can exhale. I love ATWT and hate to see it leave, if only for this triangle. Thank God for youtube.
The chemistry these two had was off the charts. Really sucks that As The World Turns followed so many toxic tropes with their gay characters. Can't have the gays end up happily ever after. Nope gotta have them suffer and die. Just total bs.

Nuke was pretty awesome during its time, and they were the first soap couple... first gay one at least... that made me adore them. But, yeah. . . Some of the kiss scenes between LuRe were just... No words.
The way he asks "how can you even ask me that?"... Awww. so heart breaking!

Lukes pain is Reids pain, and that's why Reid will always put Noah first.
Because that makes Luke happy.
And on a off note, how awkward would it be to be Jake Silberman in this scene?

Every time I watched this, the part where Luke says, "Dr. Oliver, thank you" sounds like Sonny from I-Robot to me xD Random. I know.

@csilla924 The most shocking part is Lukes hair. Its longer during the first part of the fight before the kissing and even the first half of the makeout session. Then when they pull away Lukes hair is shorter.....when did he get a haircut?
Happy, I agree TOTALLY with your POV...Every ep it's getting more MORE MORe..HUGE?! @Drubidu1973 When Reid says ones not such a low number to Luke saying Noah is his first and only love so far and saw them being together for ever. Reid is saying he has never been in love before or been in relationship and he can understand why Luke is acting like he is his guilt about Noah losing his sight and possibly being brain damaged. All this guilt isn't allowing Luke to act on his feelings for Reid and why though it is hurting Reid to say stay Luke needs to feel like he is helping.
relationship between luke and noah was never proper. they all the time fighting and fixing that only because they were first for each other and couldn't imagine them selfs with anybody else but truth is they don't belong to each other anymore, not from very very long time. if there had been love, they wouldn't escape from each other. noah wouldn't hanging out with this richard and luke wouldn't fall into reid. it means that they should forget about past and move on... separately

I tried to pick my favorite moment but there are too many to count. Even though he wants Luke I love that Dr. O is still himself. "We were about to have sex not move out of the state" or "You're not all that Mr. Snyder".....I know it looks like Dr. O is giving up but dont count him out yet. To Luke I would says its time to have a real grown up relationship. Noah is way too whiny.

@nigotu when Luke says he knows Reid didn't and couldn't hurt Noah on purpose as he can separate being Noah's doctor and wanting Luke. Luke is apologising again and the comment from Reid about not being all that Mr Snyder. He has just said that he has never been in the situation of personal and professional life mixing and no one even Luke could ever bring him to harm a patient, he is also fritling with Luke when saying this and Luke becomes all coy and bashful.

@gddt618 Well let's say Reid is 33. Luke definitely graduated from high school a while ago, though. He was in college for a while until I think he was kicked out. I know he is old enough to drink, so I was guessing 23 or 24 for Luke. That would make the difference about 10 years...I guess it still seems like a lot but in a good way i think for these guys :)

Looking back on this clip after what's been happening recently, Reid's comments in the hospital room are amazingly kind and unselfish. it's sad to think that Noah (and a lot of viewers) are accusing him of moving in on Luke and being unethical. He put his patient first, even beyond his own feelings. I'm sure he wanted to make Luke leave, but he told him to stay with Noah, as much as it pained him. He knew it would do both Luke and Noah good--and that's all that matters. I love Reid!

@melhock If Reid and Luke were to have sex now their blossoming relationship wouldn't last because of all the guilt, it is better for Noah to come out of a coma and then Reid and Luke are free mentally to enjoy and take their relationship to the next level they both obviously care about each other allot and it is more than just having sex they couldn't stop flirting over Noah's bed lets hope Noah cannot hear what they are saying

I am seeing this fabulous storyline again in 2021 and reading some past comments, my answer to the age difference between Luke and Reid is that Reid (Eric Sheffer Stevens) to be 38 at that time looked young, handsome, super sexy And you didn't see much of the age difference with Luke, and I've seen some recent photos of Dr Reid now and now almost 48 years old, he still looks young, handsome and thin.
