- This is from the ATWT episode where Reid (Dr. Oliver) dies. I haven't uploaded the whole episode and i've missed out quite a lot of scenes which don't involve either Luke or Reid because i only wanted to include the more emotional scenes. I can't believe the ATWT (As The World Turns) writers killed him off. Reid and Luke were a really good couple and it's a shame that they split them up. This video also includes characters like Katie, Chris, Bob etc. I had to include them in some.
R.I.P Reid and thanks Eric for playing such an excellent character. Reid & Luke forever!
Reid should have been able to go to Bay City, smack that other surgeon around, take the heart, get it back to save Chris . Then Reid and Luke should have had their happily ever after!

Well acted performances by all in these scenes. Van Hansis is one of the best younger actors ATWT ever had. Also, it is good to see those professional rivals, Bob Hughes and John Dixon, working together. The Bob/John rivalry had to have been the longest-running rivalry on an American daytime drama. Even in grade school, I remember them having major conflicts. For many years, John vs. the Hugheses and the Stewarts was a recurring theme, especially during the '70s through the mid-80s.

The saddest things I have ever seen the way luke cry’s and says no Reid I can get someone to help you our not going any were I love you and you love me the emotion in that episode was so sad very tearful I could fill my self filling up with tears one of the most loving and beautiful sence I have ever seen

I was worried I was a soulless monster for not crying and then I get to the scene with Luke and Katie and I'm just like: I can't! Stop the tears! Take them back!
Also, fuck this shut! I don't care how poetic it is that he gave his heart to Chris and saved someone with his death! As far as I'm concerned he made it back with a heart for Chris and he and Luke spent the rest of their lives together, loving each other in their adorably argumentatively teasing way! They get married and have a beautiful daughter (via Katie as a surrogate with Luke's sperm) with blonde hair and big brown eyes and a sharp sarcastic tongue that frightens adults!

Aww, so sad. I am glad Katie was upset too as the preview made it seem like she didn't care. Katie is a lot of things but she does care about her friends. Loved her hugging Luke at the end.

It wasn't Katies fault, the writers could have found another way to help Chris.. but they wrote this tragedy :\
WHAT. THE. FUCK. No, actually it makes sense. A crappy ass soap drama can't have any characters who are more than overdramatic wastes of oxygen. The fact that he had an intelligent sense of humor and was gay brought him right to the top of the kill list in soap land.

im sitting here balling like a baby, even though this is not the first time i have seen it. Reid was the best thing to happen to luke.

@cookiesgreen : It was a stupid ending. The writers were unimaginative and lazy. They kicked one of the best characters off the show so quickly for no real reason. So yeah, I also hope karma bites their asses. :)

I typically don't cry but I was balling when Luke was crying to Katie. I can't even to imagine what I'd do if I lost my boyfriend

I know I hated Katie since they had to sacrifice Reid for her to be happy cause she's the "sweetheart" of the show.
@mariem201 : Me too. I love Katie. When i saw the previews i thought it was just going to be Luke greviing on his own, but thankfully Katie was upset too. Their hug was soo sweet
I think there will be a very special place in hell for the producers and writers who made this ending to happen. God knows I wish karma would bite their asses.

@LottieHansis listen, it might not be the writers fault. it could very well be that Eric (guy who played reid) didnt want to be on the show anymore...

This was a really shitty way to end this storyline and to write the gay subplot out of ATWT. Good thing the bloody show was cancelled.
