I realize you've heard this hundreds, if not thousands, of times in the comments, but the way you play is so wonderfully rich in space that's it immediately relaxing from the first two notes. The first time you came up in my feed, and I clicked on your video, I could not have anticipated the beauty that awaited my ears. I don't think I've clicked like faster. It was maybe in the first 3 notes? I can't remember when someone's playing grabbed my full attention more immediately or more gently. Yet, there is more to this. It's not only the gorgeous tone that pours out of your instrument, but also watching you play. You so rarely capture such incredible beauty in human form, it's more witnessed and experienced in nature, like listening to the waves gently crash on the beach, or see the sun drop into the Pacific Ocean, or even the Aurora Borealis gently change shape under a navy canvas of stars in the Maine night sky. Thank you for sharing your talent, skill, and artistic essence with the public. This kind of beauty brings tears to one's eyes...
Wow! That's so amazing thank you. I try not to get too affected by my comments, positive or negative, but this one blew my mind! It certainly put me a a good frame of mind this morning-thank you!
Everything about this comment is perfectly stated and also inspiring. My initial feel was sent directly to the heart. My preferred place to hang out especially these days with so much turmoil happening. A passing acquaintance who was a practicing Buddhist said that every sound is the sound of God. I believe in this space and moment that it is true. I deeply appreciate being reminded that in this moment, this is all that matters. Im so grateful I discovered you this morning. Ill be hanging out here often,
The gift you have. Came from angels. The bass string elevates your music into some kind of heaven. The space you give each note. Magic. No other word to use.
All peace to you as well. I lost my dad in May from cancer and today would have been his 79th birthday. Your music gave me strength to make it through the workday. Thank you🙌✨
@@stephenredhawk9680 I'm sorry to hear that. I found it very hard coming to terms with the loss of my father - I feel your pain. I ended up writing quite a lot of music as a result, I am glad if it helps you too.
My go to in the mornings when waking up and taking my first sips of hot coffee. Sooths my heart and restless mind. These days are turning tumultuous due to the states recent election. I can find some peace here and naturally melt away. I would like to believe the world would be a better place if we plugged your playing style into everyone's heart. Next life, I want to dwell on a plane of bliss and harmony. Thank you again.🎸
Thanks for music and possibility to watch. Your playing helps me with my problem generally speaking with my brain. That something like the massage for mind. Sometimes listening music its only thing i can do. I live in Poland and I am gratefull that I can hear that music. Gratefull that some maybe YT algorytm suggets me that canal. Im going to support you Sheldon for this what you do.
Thank you for this luxurious long piece. I played this as I gave a client an energy healing and cranio sacral work❤We ended perfectly at the same time 🙌🏼❤️❤🙌🏼❤️🙏❤️🙏
Loved this, and of course the base string but l also enjoy the very spacey sound of the single high notes. It takes me somewhere else on a grey day in England.
@@DonAmos_stories Thank you. No i have had many teachers. I was classically trained then studied jazz and composition followed by a masters in contemporary classical guitar.
I wonder if everyone has a certain frequency that resonates in their body. And for everyone it is different. I have noticed for myself if I go to make music, I let myself choose the notes and chords from where my heart and mind want to go. And even without thinking much, it is always D minor lately. I wonder why that is happening. What do you think?
Maybe Joanne, I recently recorded a piece where I was tuned to a as 432 and it felt significantly different- darker and calmer. I also feel drawn to D minor -it can be a very sad key- I enjoy moving between B minor and D major also.
