The color of the game tiles could be shifted by a certain, but maybe it wouldn't work well with all colors. The rain / particle layer seems simple enough. Anyways, the dev wasted their time, if this weather system didn't really change anything. Think of areas covered by mud that are revealed and allow entrance only if the game is raining on a playthrough. It could encourage more playthroughs.
I picked this for one of my Halloween games this year. The graphics stand out for me. I didn't put too much time into it yet bc I was saving it so I didn't notice the changing seasons. That's super cool.
Other snes games with timid or not exactly traditional hero material characters that came out the same year, Super Mario World 2 Yoshi's Island and Donkey Kong Country 2 Diddy's Kong Quest.
The greatest positive for this game is unlimited continues because I am a terrible retro gamer. Highlight of the video the pup-pup at the end. I just want to pet him....or her? What's the pupper's name?

No the weather effects don't have an effect on gameplay. I should have mentioned that in the review...whoops!

this is a decent game. the baseball throwing enemies are annoying though haha played this last halloween not too shabby. good review!
