What a beautiful day on the Cog Hill 40! Jason is looking and sounding wonderful and the there are new babies on the way. The sky is so blue and the grass is so green. We will soon have a tour of the barndominium. Brooke is looking pretty as usual and MaryCarl's birds are flying high! I'm very excited!💕🌿🐄🐈🌹🐖🐐🐤🐓🦃🐔

Jason I just love watching you with the animals. I forget about everything going on around me I get so pulled into your videos. It's like reading a great book that you get so wrapped up in you can't put it down. When you start talking to them I can hear what they would be saying if they could talk. Just like Charlotte's Web 😂

That peacock call is the soundtrack to my life. Where I live (Pasadena foothills) we have a flock of wild peafowl in the neighborhood (including some albino peafowl). They scream that call at dawn all spring and most of the summer nights, too. We have seen some chicks, though not lately. With the climate heating up, animal breeding schedules are changing, too. I predict we'll see baby animals at times we don't expect. Our local kitten season is still going strong.
When I saw the thumbnail I was shouting! Peacock eggs! Wow! Hahaha
Cog Hill is going to have lots of peacocks and peahens!

Ohhh wow. There's a flock of peacocks that run around down about a quarter mile from me and I've heard that noise...well I now know it's peacocks.

My male has already lost his tail. One of my hens layed 4 eggs really late. Hatching now.

Jason, I have to tell you, I just purchased a 6 week old Mini Schauzer. I love Arlo and when I saw these pups on FB, I had to do it! Her name is Maggie🥰. Arlo hasn’t been seen lately but I figure it is the heat keeps him inside. I am so excited 🥰. I did see Arlo the other day on a short.
I love Arlo too, he's Jasons side kick.
Yeah in a couple or so vlogs/podcasts back, they said Arlo is fine. Just stays inside because of the heat.

I love how y'all left the grass around the trailer nice and Tall it really looks very inviting and safe for one of your babies to easily have her eggs down there and feel secure.. exciting news. Moody looks very happy in the shade hahaha he's like needing a bell or something so he can ring it so you can bring his feed to him hahaha. He looks very content in that shade and he's happy with it. Got to love moody!

Regarding the fly issues, Gold Shaw Farm has the solutions. Large fly paper wrapped around trash bins, sticky side out to catch them. Took him about two weeks to get flys under control. Good luck!

Ozella's white pea chick? She had 5, one was white. She only has the 4 brown ones left. The white has been gone awhile. It would have been nice to have an albino peacock/pea hen.

Miss Edna Lewis co-wrote a cookbook with Chef Scott Peacock. She is/was a famous Southern chef. I am thinking that is where the idea for her name came from.

So many of the animals' names seem very 'southern' to me -- I'm from New England, but my husband was from Louisville, KY, so during his life with me I learned a lot of the cultural stuff.
