Im a causal player who got into watching a bunch of regionals and stuff. After making decks and stuff I tried looking for deck sleeves and deck boxes and playing mats but all of it came out to like 100-200 dollars for stuff that I thought looked cool and the quantity I wanted, which I didn’t want cause I only played at home. But I saw this item without the cards for like 40-50 dollars and it had everything I wanted. It has worked perfectly for me to play with my brother whenever we have time to play. I was never interested in the cards and it helped me get into the Pokémon tcg and I’m super happy with it, it’s also super clean tbh like the black sleek looks is awesome to me.
yo thats actually like a cool idea, playmat, sleeves, and a deckbox shouldn't be more than like 40-50 bucks but getting all that x3 for same price is still nice
@@turboswimYou’re mistaken. The turn after that Chip promoted Lugia ex and used Rising Wind. Then Azul attacked it with Rapidash, and on the following turn Chip retreated it into Sandslash.
it really feels like some random make from home decks you use from your collection. If it wasnt 400 dollars this would be a fun casual decks to play with friends
I recently played through the TCG gameboy game. I started using the charizard/zapdos deck but the blastoise deck ended up carrying me through 90% of the game
I got mine from Best Buy for $250. I really wanted the damage counters and “mat” and figured for that price the cards would make up for the price. I do plan to play it though and keep all the cards.
If the table isnt level the ball will almost always land in the downhill hole. still a bad design flaw, but if i had to guess the board lacking support sags in the middle making the coin flip thing not level...
I’m so surprised at the lack of Spindowns being used for damage. Most Pokémon only need 1, and the most you’d ever need is 2. I just grabbed ~8 dice and they’re all I’ve ever needed to use. Plus, they’re actually made for tracking, so they’re easier to adjust quickly.
This is a similar pattern to when my friend and I played this. It seems like the underdog is actually the better of the two decks that are battling against each other. Very interesting to see it all played out like this.
The emerging powers box came with the exact same lugia, ho-oh, suicune, mr mime, and the attachments for charizard, blastoise, and venasaur. Wild that they didn't leave those cards exclusive to this bundle...
Azul washed up. Chip should start taking Azul's trophies hahaha. j/k. Nice video to watch. I like the sounds effects of the breaking glass and stuff. Thanks for the video!
I think for the coin-flipping device, you need to not provide acceleration on the ball. Every time it was accelerated, it landed heads, but when it was left alone, it was tails
I tested this out at a friend's house, and I was convinced that they'd made some changes to the decks. Why would they have modern style Switch cards along with retro cards? Especially since they're not tournament legal anyway... I mean it's a fine product, but I wish they'd just make the cards legal in official tournaments as well. Either that OR made all the cards retro.
I definitely like the set as it is. I bought a Japanese set without the cards. It's disappointing that it seems the 'dice balls' don't work very well, but it looks like you were pushing the ball rather than letting it roll freely. I don't know if it makes a difference. I'm always interested to see how some of the really old cards perform without Energy Removal. I've heard that card really destroyed the original format as it never allowed bigger attacks to ever get set up.
This is the kind of product I'm looking to get to play casually with my brother and a few friends, but the decks seem a little strangely unbalanced with all the newer pokemon and trainers mixed in. I'd love to see peoples' ideas to update and make the decks more even/balanced/fun with more replayability! If anyone's got some balanced older style decks with or without newer cards, or knows a good place to look for them, please let me know!
Without energy removals if possible please! I REALLY liked that these decks didn't have anything like that, as it makes the games a bit longer and lets you play a larger variety of pokemon!
When I saw there were only 3 decks in it I cracked up. I was expecting plenty of side cards per deck to allow customization and significantly more themed accessories. The deck boxes and sleeves are just lazy being (nearly) identical.
At 22:48 chip used Zapdos’s drill peck move against Azuls wartortle and he said “ 120 damage times two weakness 240 for the knock out” now I know his wartortle wouldve gotten knocked out regardless but the 2x weakness wouldn’t count because the move wasn’t an electric type move right? I just started battling like 3 weeks ago but I thought this is how it works please correct me if I’m wrong so I won’t make mistakes in the future
What would the most broken deck be when combod with that randomizer. Obv we gotta play 4 Pokemon catcher and prob radiant jirachi but there's gotta be some insane stuff we can build around
By far my favorite Pokémon TCG channel, you don't upload often but when u do I watch the entire thing in 1 sitting!
So true
When chip said wear something nice, I knew azul will show up with that tuxedo shirt. I watched too much azul’s stream😂
Same here
🤣🤣🤣
I feel like every new set or announcement he always wearing that shirt lol
Me when I roll up to Baltimore with the coin flip machine and 4 crushing hammers in my deck and hit heads all day
"Iron Throns players LOVE this one trick!"
36:58 I love that [relaxing music stops] moment. But at least you got the chance to abuse the totally fair 50/50 roller later in the battle. :)

@37:00 chip you weren't allowed to retreat after rapidash attacked Lugia
Oh shoot, you’re right
The Rapidash attacked Venasuar and knocked it out. Lugia was promoted. The Rapidash's affect only applied to the Venusuar.
@@turboswimYou’re mistaken. The turn after that Chip promoted Lugia ex and used Rising Wind. Then Azul attacked it with Rapidash, and on the following turn Chip retreated it into Sandslash.
“What do you think about the quality of the deck boxes?”
“They seem fine.”
“Very insightful.”
Got me 😂
I like the mismatched arts, gives the product an unintentional cube feel lol

Finally someone unboxing this product too actually use it
This product is so weird. I don't really get who it's for.
That being said, it's pretty fun to see Chip and Azul play with these decks
If anyone can figure out what UA-camr’s style I edited this video in, I will give you an imaginary high five and two buttons 🐖
No clue, but loved the editing! Please share the answer at some point if no one guesses!
is it perhaps mayhaps tablemon?
tricky gym ofc

LOL the tuxedo shirt bit is so good

Lmao. Calling each other from the other room at the begging is great lmao. The 4 head roll and edit for the music it great. This vid is golden

They definitely used the PTCGL RNG algorithm for that "randomizer" 🤣🤣🤣

37:27 Chip wasn’t supposed to be able to retreat Lugia due to Rapiddash’s attack last turn preventing so.

they really do THE IMPOSSIBLE, this channel deserve a sub(anyways when is the next evo episode (lol)).
Please do a tcg battle with only battle deck products
Decks should have played town map. Also maybe the ball roller thingy is supposed to hit heads more so it is more fun.

Fantastic intro. So hyped
Chip really be cheating.... The rapidash prevents retreating... Wow.....
Good video
It says "that pokemon" can't retreat, that pokemon being venusaur
Would love to see some retro content on this channel down the line 👀
When I saw there were only 3 decks in it I cracked up.
I was expecting plenty of side cards per deck to allow customization and significantly more themed accessories.
The deck boxes and sleeves are just lazy being (nearly) identical.
I feel like bo1 variance was in full effect during these games
"EUIC was last weekend" how time flies when editing 😅

I'm pretty sure the energy used doesn't determine the attack's typing, the Pokémon's type is what determines the typing of an attack.

That “randomizer” is so funny
All these promos are in the combined powers box.
I got that for just 60 bucks. Didn't come with the cards, BUT I think it was worth it 😊
keep up the good work boys. love the content!
That table gotta be unbalanced. I seen other ppl use this and not get that many lmao
Most likely. Just tested mine today and was very close to a 50/50 whether I accelerated the ball or not
They are back!!!
Wow wow wow..... Wow
MORE CHIP AND AZUL!!!
Sams club has it for like $200 i think
I’m a little late but you can buy this for like 190$ from Sam’s club
Does anyone else watch this while eating?
great video
Scrunch metronome scrunch
I would rather buy the TCG classic for the accessories not the cards as the cards are not legal for tournament play
Were the evolution serier 151
40 seconds in, lovin' the video already
