I've seen this several times in Korean Joseon era Dramas. To get to see it made is really awesome!
Oh my goodness now I know how to use my Gujeolpan tray that a cousin gifted me while visiting Korea! My mother had told me that it was used for Korean royal court cuisine, but she passed away before she could teach me how to prepare the delicacies for it. Thank you Maangchi

Your videos remind me of my husband. He was a marine engineer on tankers. He traveled the world but learned to love Korean dishes a great deal. This was one of the meals that impressed him a lot. The ability to make a different flavor profile with every bite fascinated him. He liked the table top grilling the most ! I love watching you. I love Koran food and learned to eat hot and spicy dishes. My son served a 2year mission in in Seoul south mission. I was able to visit Seoul and south of Seoul where he served. Loved it there.
