Ski Touring in the Lyngen Alps | Norway | 4K

- Last winter I took a trip to Northern Norway - spending a week in Alta crossing the Finnmark Plateau - before flying back 'down south' to Tromsø and spending a further week ski touring in the Lyngen Alps.
Staying in Lyngen itself in a lodge by the water, I became an adopted Austrian for a week - taking ferries between Fjords to tour various local Fjellets - with a group of skiers from Österreich.
Conditions were very mixed but there's something so pure about skiing in Norway - away from the lifts and home comforts of man made resorts - with epic views across the Fjords (when the weather is kind).
Even on the harsh days, I really enjoy the cold sharp wind in your face.
Almost like skiing the way it was always intended to be.

Beautifull place ❤️ Amazing, Thank you
Nice video. Planning on going back this winter? Take care 👍
Thank you. I think my next trip to Norway will be Lofoten 🤞
I’m thinking of doing this trip. I’m curious, what guide company did you use?
I was with an Austrian guide called Paul Held for this trip. We were based in Lyngseidet for a week and made daily excursions from there. It was the only guided trip I could find for the week I was available and so I was the only non German speaker in the party. Overall a good week but with very varied conditions, where I felt on the better days we perhaps could have made more from them ski wise - and know the wider group felt the same. It was sold as an all inclusive week but really it's self catered. So a few little grumbles with communications but I don't think you can go too far wrong with any party you join when skiing in Lyngen.
Looks amazing ! What time of the year where you there ?
This was mid to late March last winter.
Great talent, keep up the good work!!! You are late to the party = "Promo SM"!!!
