Hopefully they change their ways. I ended up joining a streamer's community after you had a video showing how toxic he was. Instead of taking the bad publicity with anger, he took some time off then came back. He addressed that he was being an asshole and he needs to keep from doing that shit, making sure everyone realized he knew what he said was FAR from ok. His streams have become pretty wholesome since then and just fun. Even though a lot of people won't change their ways, it's nice to see someone make something positive out of it and get even more successful than before.
@@ridleyformk1244 spooks took down the vid to avoid further hurting the guy. Found someone that took clips from the video and uploaded it but don't wanna advertise it, mainly bc of Spooks comment on the video: "This video is very disingenuous and it’s a shame you didn’t take any time to find out why the videos (or mine at least) was removed. I didn’t receive any negative backlash on that video, no heat from that streamer OR their community at all. That’s not why I removed it. I removed the video because the streamer apologized and completely rebranded in attempts to be better. I felt my video served it’s purpose and I wanted to give them the opportunity to change. The video was up for two months before I made the choice to remove it. I’ve removed MANY of these styled videos, most of them actually, after they’d been up a while because I believe people can change. I could easily have left them all up to gain thousands of views even after the people changed, but I didn’t. That doesn’t sit right with me. Hope this cleared things up for you.
@@chickenquesadilla8139 I might know/remember who you are talking about and If we DO mean the same Streamer, then I can confirm they are doing so much better now!
This game is going to become an entire chapter in psychology textbooks like that Stanford Prison Experiment. the fact that there are SOOO many damaged people playing this game as streamers is crazy eye-opening and should be *legitimately studied*. Happy New Years SpooknJukes and thanks for this PSA to be a better person inside and outside the game. Cheers!
I genuinely believe it is because of how poorly maintained and designed the game is. It is so genuinely frustrating to play that it makes people that play it stressed to the point of threats and violence.
Had one stream of dbd, started nearly screaming about halfway through a match and hitting myself because I hate myself and felt utterly worthless. Deleted the stream and never streamed again.
Thank you for sharing your own experience. I'm having similar issues right now. Being the loan provider for my family, just trying to keep going. Making sure they don't feel the pressure and stress I have. It does help knowing that I'm and others aren't alone in these times. Love your content, keep it up.
Don’t put too much on yourself. It’s great that you can take everyone’s pressure off, but that pressure doesn’t disappear it goes to you. Listen to how you feel and sometimes just talking about it, whoever it is, really helps to get some of that excess pressure out. I hope things get better for you and your family and have a happy new year.
out of all the people in my life and all the therapy I have gone through, this was one of the first times that a message like this has been able to reach me. I honestly haven't been watching your content for very long, but being able to see you successful, have a loving family, and just an overall positive attitude about life has really motivated me. so thank you, and I appreciate what you are doing for others. I wish you nothing but the best
@@lilchipo The point is moot. I didn't miss it. I don't agree or support it. I grew up before this "feelings are everything and the world needs to cater to me" stupidity was everywhere.
@@johnnycaralta care to share what time period it was when people's feelings didn't matter? It seems like maybe your feelings were never validated by the people closest to you and that's sad. That doesn't give you the right to project your negativity onto others. I'm 45 years old and I've never lived in a time where feelings didn't matter. Try therapy or mindfulness meditation. It works. To anyone reading this, may 2023 be the first best year of a series of best years for you. I get how things can seem completely dark at times, but don't take it out on others, online or otherwise. Take a step back, do some introspection and, if necessary, seek out help. It will get better.
Whenever I have a rough game as killer, I always like seeing GGs personally; it reminds me that this is just a game and that I shouldn't get so stressed over it. It's also a lot better than seeing, "Ez, get good, loser, or 'you're so toxic'".
I'll never understand why some people get so pressed about someone say GG at someone who had a bad game. Like sure, maybe it wasn't a good game, but by no means is it bad sportsmanship or rubbing it in.
@@Awesometrax I get why though. It’s like a backhanded compliment. Like if I know I did horrible as Killer and got memed on them saying GGs is just the nice way of saying “you suck lol”. More often than not it’s used as a backhanded compliment.
I personally prefer a gg over some of the nasty comments I've seen in dbd. Sometimes its not a bad idea to stick around in the chat and talk with the killer if they had a rough match. Maybe give them a few tips or compliment a good play they made. Killers can do the same and tell them how to counter aspects of their killer. Something to brighten the others mood :)
A lot of spoiled kids play this game unfortunately. Kids are very toxic and usually shred the community apart as well as adults that have not grown up it's quiet embarrassing 🙄. Rage happens but wishing death on anyone especially members of one's family is wrong and unacceptable.
@@LordBackhandTVi find there are way more adults who still spend hours opon hours gaming are much more likely to be toxic in dbd games then kids in my experience. Most of spooks vids are on manbabys as an example.
It will trust me I give this game 3 more years at best until its pure hell. I semi understand the frustration of these people but saying those things in an "open environment or space" is not good at all.
My most favorite way to troll people in the post-game chat is by disconnecting *immediately* after the end-game screen appear, regardless of the match results. I play Killer, so my disconnect immediately turns off the post-game chat. Nobody gets to say anything.
The "sappy" part of the video meant so much to me Spook, thank you for saying that. I'm going through those exact same things right now at 28 and I feel so lost...so hopefully I come out on the other side doing a lot better soon.
I like how Spooks progressively has gotten more and more done with this community lol, you can see him getting less patient with telling people what’s not toxic (Playing the game) and what is (Telling people to off themselves) And the fact people still don’t get it is just insane 😂
i recently lost one of my good friends who’s very toxic when it comes to games. he always used to be chill like me, i get sometimes you get heated in games but when you wish harm on other people or joke about harming someone and their family it’s wrong. i never thought i would ever be friends with someone like that, i even streamed with him and thankfully i had my audio muted when he used my stream to shout his hate. i was so upset yet continued to be friends with him. it was very wide opening when i realized how much i let people walk all over me. people like this really baffle me and the fact that they were one of my close friends and i enabled it for a while was crazy. never knew he was that type of person for a long time. seeing people’s true colors is wild. thank you for constantly keeping peoples toxic behavior accountable and not normalizing it. it’s not okay.
Everyone is toxic somehow in life, it's how it is, yeah sometimes people joke and that it's not a good joke, but atleast it's better then being serious about it
@@lolitsdee I got a match against some toxic too! I was playing as hillbilly and trying to kill some survivors but in the end two survivors managed to escape but in the end game chat the survivors started to throw Dirty words and swearing about Me because they have lost the match

These words in the last minute or so mean alot to me. Im in a really dark place right now, im depressed as hell and games have been my only off time in regards to the world and how shitty im feeling though everything is quite good. Thanks for these kind words.
Thank you for saying the things you said at the end. I suffer from depression and a bunch of problems and having to deal with mean people on video games is really hard. Thank you Spooks for being so kind! ❤
As a person that mains Killer and Surv both (Jeff and Demo main), these people need to check their emotions and grow up. Life is WAY too short to let your health be affected by getting upset about a game. DBD is a game, games are meant to be played for fun. If you aren't having fun, then turn the game off, and do something else to calm down.
I played League of Legends for about 3 years and i could notice myself getting frustrated, depressed and apathetic whenever I played. I was never toxic in chat but I wasnt in a good place and the toxicity in the game just made things worse. I stopped playing, focused on my mental health and I'm in a much better spot. Things that used to aggravate me make me laugh now, and if I do have a bad few games I just call it a day and stop. No use getting bummed out or upset by something thats supposed to bring me enjoyment. Ill light a candle, play some music and play something else.
LOL Same Dude it would be cool for DBD to have a spin off, where instead being a 4v1 competitive match. It's a hide and seek where you objective is to survive as long as you can, until the gates open, alternatively you can also scavenge parts for vehicles like boats, cars or even helicopters or planes depending on the map. Speaking of depending on the killer you get, they will send you to thier map everytime, unless you use a map offering. So like Myers be Haddonfield, Bubba be the Sawyers farmhouse or the factory eta. The game is also going to be in first person and even have VR support if you have it. And unlike DBD you won't able to bring your own medkits or flashlights, instead you get items from classes. I got 4 I can think of Doctor, Security, Tracker and Hunter. And you can play offline unlike DBD. That's my idea.
It seems like bullies legitimately do not care how the other person feels. They do it because they think causing someone misery, or even to commit suicide, is funny. It's incredibly depressing that anyone could ever think that this kind of behavior is perfectly fine.
Toxicity: Flashy spam, Chain blinds, chain head ons Not toxicity: Using a perk (Op as DH may be), and using flashlights for their intended purpose Toxic: Sandbagging to bleedout, Face camping when not in a desperate spot, hitting on hook Not toxic: Camping if necessary to get any leverage, Slugging, using a perk (Even if it's op)
OMG!! Wtf is wrong with ppl....its just a video game and never should be used as a reason to justify such things....I completely agree with you on every word...especially the TTV part...having other players come into your stream is the whole point of having TTV in there Ppl take this game wayyyyyy too seriously and its sad to see ppl resort to such threats and wishing harm on others...hopefully they get the help they need
Cause people most people are 🔧s. I mean most games I play have decent people in them, but alot just have rude people t bagging right away , or what not and as soon as they die or lose they write you mean shit.
I think this is one of your best videos; your delivery is fully honest, your message is crystal clear, and each word has the weight it’s supposed to have. Happy New Year Spooks!
13:24.... no not too sappy and personal. Just the thing I really needed to hear. Going through some pretty rough times myself right now. Haven't done anything toxic like the people in the video, just watching content. But that last minute and a half really kind of reached out to me. Thanks man, I really needed that.
Spooks I appreciate you sharing and I hope it reaches someone who needs to hear it. I was in a similar position, fell flat on my face when I was younger and blamed everyone but myself. I had to make some changes but things worked out. I'm married and things are 100% better. So what you said really hit home and again, I appreciate you sharing 😀 Happy New year my dude!!
There is a difference between expressing frustration at losing. It’s completely understandable. Telling someone to kill themselves is too far. There is no excuse. Being angry is totally understandable he doesn’t have to be perfect. But the insane stuff is nuts.
Totally valid of them if they said "I'm so pissed off that some of this stuff is in the game. BHVR needs to balance their shit. Deadhard working the way it does feels so bad to killers. Cant fault survivors for using something broken, it's in the damn game." That alone vents the frustrations, because really it's not the other players, it's the systems in the game that make playing it so frustrating for one or both sides. As a League of Legends player it happens basically every season. Riot adds a new item/character that's busted and breaks the game. At the minute for example, playing ADC feels so bad because there is a new tank item that makes tanks deal big damage after taking some. So you have uber tanky units that are designed to be taken out by the ADC late game, but ADC's are squishy until late game. In the current meta, Tanks are able to kill the ADC and shrug off most attacks all the way into late game. It's gotten so bad we're seeing full tank teams. But that's no excuse to take it out on the other players, they're just using what works best, even if you think it's BS. It's not their fault that it's the most effective way to win, it's the dev for making it that way.
Shoutouts to the people who told me I should die of leukemia because I said Claudette (some polygons in a video game) looks like a frog They also called me a racist for it, too
I needed to hear that... It does get better... I'm in the middle of something really hard and it's hard to forget about the light at the end of the tunnel
There is NOTHING that justifies this kind of behavior. Ya know, some trash talk during the game is ok because I do it but at the end of it all, like a lot of other people, laugh off their mistakes, take an L and MOVE ON. Great advice at the end!
This community seriously needs help, wtf is wrong with people. Jesus this makes me want to try my hardest to never ever raise my kids to be like these people.
i'm a for-fun but pretty hardcore gamer, i'd say. the majority of my time is spent gaming due to disability, it's one of my only outlets, and i've never felt compelled to be toxic in dbd. i love dbd! i play both roles. i want the people i'm playing with to have fun as much as i'm having fun. i think it's okay to lose and it's okay to die. i count just one kill as a win. i don't mind dying for my teammates if it means they get to escape. i don't understand the toxic parts of the community, because the game can be so fun and harmless if you just allow it to be fun and harmless. all this stress is unnecessary. why play games to destress if you're just gonna be stressed the whole time?
I always get so happy when spooknjukes drops a video that highlights mental health, for me it helps me feel like i have a friend who understands which honestly, at most times, is all i need.
I personally don't play this game more because the community is so toxic. I'll redownload it every once in a while. Play a game against a salty survivor or SWF and get told that they ran me for 7 gens straight (even though i got a 3K) and to "uninstall". I don't understand why the community is like this here and it really needs to be addressed by the developers. If I won't play as much because of how some people treat you for just doing your role, I can imagine there are more out there who feel the same.
the only way this bs will stop is when the devs start punishing this behaviour and from the way the devs have acted over the past 6 years they dont care enough to do anything
What punishment would you enact exactly? A ban? Oh be still my beating heart. This is the internet, anonymity is king here. You will never stop salty players
There's no way to stop this .. people will be people, stop blaming the devs for everything - be grateful for once These people stream the game if anyone should be punishing it should be twitch
Alcoholism runs in my family and I am trying to fight it myself. I would drink every day on the weekend, every weekend until black out and sometimes after work when I feel like shit. I would drink by myself when my roommate is out of the room which is dangerous. I would sometimes play DBD while drunk and sometimes the toxicity would make me feel even worse. Luckily, most people I run into aren't very toxic and I hope others don't run into toxics often either.
I hope you’re doing well and can stay healthy ❤ I also have matches where it feels like everything is just a downward spiral. Taking a break from dbd or switching sides definitely helps. If you feel like drinking, try to talk to someone.
@@ComputerVibes Damn man thats unfortunate. My dads been in the same boat since he was young he’s mastered the art of using fake piss from a smoke shop for the past 20 years. Its risky though. Best of luck to you dude
It’s just sad that the devs do nothing about these people. I reported someone for saying they hope I die painfully from cancer, which as a cancer survivor I took very much to heart. I reported them, with screenshots and they did nothing about it.
I honestly believe this sort of public shaming is beneficial to society. Thank you for what you do. It’s warranted, and it’s fair. You know exactly where to draw the line, and I appreciate that.
BHVR has a big fault because it created the best environment for toxic players and game mechanics really encourage survivors to be toxic....let's be honest about this. Plus I don't understand why there is no option only to play with random players and not friends (SWF) I WOULD LOVE THAT OPTION EITHER WHEN I PLAY KILLER OR SURVIVOR!
I couldn't agree with you more Spooks! Most of your videos I watch I'm like, yeah that's a real crappy thing to do over a video game but this video is on a whole different level, wishing death on people is horrible enough, but you truly don't know what someone is going through, some people turn to video games as a way to help them through hard times. Whether it be a break up, losing your job, having a horrible mental day the possibilities are endless but that should never warrent wishing another human suffering/death. After every video I think to myself "I hope with all my might that whatever hurt is causing these people to act this way subsides because no one deserves to feel this way" and that those affected by cyber bullies realize that the other person's hurt doesn't have to be their hurt as well. Thank you for being the light in the dark when it comes to this awful behavior..
been playing DBD for nearly 3 years and I can safely say I have never come out of a match so frustrated I’ve thought about the demise of the opposite team/wished harm on their families. it’s truly never that deep and if you’re at the stage where you get so annoyed with a video game that you have those kind of thoughts it’s time to take a break (and perhaps seek anger management classes)
I never get so frustrated that I name call or anything to that degree, but as a killer trying to get back into the game it is super hard to keep a good mental when you get stunted on. Love the videos and will keep watching, hopefully something clicks for me and I can enjoy playing the game rather than just watching it.
Heard the clip at the beginning and was left feeling sick immediately! As someone whose best friend died in a car accident in the winter a few years ago, that is absolutely atrocious to say.
Pretty much spot on, I think being behind computer screens has made a lot of people lose empathy, in not seeing that there is someone behind that screen with real feelings and real life. I think the people saying things like "NAH you should never say GG when u know Im mad" like no stop, you should be able to control your anger. People on the internet can't keep blaming their horrible emotional reactions on other peoples actions, you cant choose how you feel, but you can choose how you react to it, and some people really have no idea how to handle emotion
Makes me feel better about my mild salt when I get upset about people camping as killer at 5 gens or when people complete the gens within 3 minutes...think the worst I've ever said is "waste of a party streamer" or something XD
i remember i had moments where survivor accused killer of cheating but refused to read the perk and i was defending the killer afterwards we had a normal civil discussion and went our ways
Thanks for the video spooks, this is a good message to get out into the world. And as for your personal bit, as a current lost and confused and scared 23 year old- thanks for the reassurance that it does get better.
i may not be licensed but ive been a therapist for many people so if someone needs to vent to me im here to chat and try to help them feel better and give the best advice i can, we all have our bad and horrible days and sometimes its best to just talk out the pain to someone who can empathize and understand what they could be going through, i may hate humanity but even still i believe that everyone can be happy
SpooknJukes videos are so beautiful. Everytime I watch it, it blows my mind the view count. Deserves MUCH higher than they are. Especially showing true colors of self, and even attempting to help others. Keep up the great work
omg im so glad that the ringu thing was shown in this video. ringu is a sick streamer man he’s always super nice too even when he plays slug sadako he’s very empathetic and super nice. i saw what happened in his discord and i just couldn’t believe ppl could be like this. i reported it on discord and discord pretty much told me that it’s not ban worthy. but them being exposed here is def a huge start

played an onryo match 2 days ago, got so frustrated for overcommitting (i know, its bad on my part) i wasnt looking to tunnel or “win” just wanted some more hooks so my game felt worth it and came out in a good way instead of stressing, i ended up just putting my controller down and letting them leave and after the match was over i broke down, full mental breakdown and just started crying uncontrollably. i felt so belittled and upset that i could not have fun when i was trying my hardest to make the game worth it. it really got to me when the guy i chased a little too much just bagged me for a solid minute knowing i had such a bad game, it’s sad that people feel the need to make it worse on someone who’s already having a tough time.

Flashlights can be toxic af. When youre playing killer your POV is already limited. if you get chain blinded, with residual manifest, blastmine and flashbang combo youre hindered from playing.
@@lilyflower5895 have you ever considered that some people have light sensitivity and being griefed with chain blinds isnt fun? Why should i always lose out on a perk slot because people wanna be toxic?
@@HagBodyPillow Flashlights are not toxic. If you have light sensitivity, you should probably consider not playing games that would impair you or affect your health. It's unfortunate that you're struggling with such challenges, but you're not entitled to have other people not play the game the way it's meant to be played. In this type of situation, it's majority rule. Most people should not be punished for the issues of the few. That's just life.
@@HagBodyPillow Reread my comment and don't even think about alluding to "able-ism." Your health is your responsibility. This means that at some point you need to make a decision that will benefit your health. You need to prioritize what's most important to you. No one else can make this decision for you. It's unfortunate that you were dealt a bad hand by mother nature, but you can't demand others to completely shift everything for you. It's simply impossible. Even if they remove flashlights from the game (killing the fun for the healthier people who comprise the majority of the population), at some point in real life you'll come across a similar situation that won't be fixed so easily. I'm sorry you're dealing with such issues, but punishing others for something that isn't their fault is wrong. I sincerely hope we can come up with technology (maybe special glasses or gadgets) that will help people like you in the future. Until then, learn to view things from a more objective angle. Good luck and have an awesome New Year!
we are at a really bad point regarding toxcitiy, at least from my perspective as a killer main. When I play a good killer like Spirit, I get massive salt in the endgame chat, saying I suck and all of that, but then I play a bad killer like Knight and then I get the exact same thing. Like what am I supposed to do, not play?
@@eridiance9818 Yeah, I usually do that to the people tha tlose, all like "Why did you lose then if i suck so much?" and all that. I wish there was a better solution, but it's all I can think of
The only time I really get irritated at flashlights is when people are bming with them; getting a pallet stun and then constantly blinding me, obnoxious clicking etc etc.
I just wanna say that yeah most of the streamers in the dbd community are vile. I've come across a few who are horrible and have seen videos like this that makes me scared to join a game knowing they might be live and say sh*t about me. But the title of your video really caught my eye as I've been playing a lot more dbd recently (cus holidays) the more people I play against/with (especially in end game chat) are horrible. Basically my overall thought when I saw the title I just said to myself the dbd has definitely gotten worse. I started playing around the start of the year (mostly played around summer) and I've definitely seen a big difference from then to now. Maybe just me but I know there are some lovely people out there (lovely streamers or just wholesome end game chat people) but this has to get sorted. Most people will take harmful words to heart. It's not fun for a community. I just hope this gets better.
Unpopular opinion that most of the DbD community doesn't understand : May you win/destroy the other team or lose, saying "Gg" is good sportsmanship. Even if they DC. It's saying "Good Game" not "Get sh*t on" and it's not "Ez" :D
Yeah... it is definitely much better than having other side rub it in with "gg ez" etc. etc. manner. However, I definitely understand why other side, can feel the sour part of it, especially if he/she/they get absolutely destroyed. But as long as there is at least no unnecessary bm in the the match to really rub it in (which, I should add, is getting more rare), it can be argued that it was meant out of good sportsmanship.
See I disagree, me personally I can’t stand getting a GG after getting shit on. But I don’t meltdown and say wild stuff like this. I just grumble angrily to myself and move on lol
@@mothmanlives7212 Won't lie and say that there are games where I get absolutely destroyed that getting a GG at the end of the match just sends me over the edge and I'm instantly done with the game for the rest of the day. That's the biggest problem I'm noticing that most people in the DBD community have. They don't know when to stop playing when they get too frustrated to have fun in general no matter what happens the next match.
Thank you for this! I’m very nervous that something may happen in the future, hearing your story and how everything got better for you! It makes me have hope as well! Thank you for sharing! I really hope others can see this video and understand too! 💗🙌
2:30 I'm sorry Spook, but (with the exception of how horrible the response was) a lot of mechanics in a lot of games are balanced and still infuriating. I understand and use flashlights, but I know I'm pissing off the killer and being kind of scummy (scummy with overuse), even though I'm "justified because it's a mechanic". You can absolutely be justified in being pissed of by flashlights, like being justified by being mad at dying in Elden Ring, even though that's a necessary mechanic Edit: Yes, the streamer said stuff that wasn't justifiable, but you absolutely CAN be toxic with a flashlight
Spooks you are a wholesome person. I whole heartedly enjoyed that last message towards the end of the video. I hope your family had a wonderful Christmas and you have a great new year. It sucks we never got to play together anymore on DBD except one time back in the summer. Happy New Year! ❤️
The community and devs together are speed running the demise of this game, I stopped playing this two years ago after 1000+ hours and I regret nothing, the niche is a swarm between people who never played video games, while mad AF, and the "common sense" around it, is being giga toxic, banalized that stuff happened too often and no one cared, not the devs nor the community, is something more like "yeah, it happens", the game is broken, people are mad, swarmed by hackers, but the DLC's will still come out.
Joining the chat and saying gg after a player DC's is kinda instigating the situation. If a player DCs you know it was a bad game so doing that is rubbing salt in the wound. That being said the Killers response is horrendous and should never be said.
I don't agree with that. At least not just GG. GGEZ or something else like that? Definitely rubbing salt into the wound. I do think that showing some kindness within it would be a better approach however, even though I don't think GG is a bad thing in itself.
@@Awesometrax just GG after a disconnect is kinda rude though because it clearly wasn't a good game at least for the player that DC's, especially because you have to go to their stream or profile to say it. Even if intentions are good that is an easy thing to misinterpret given the situation. I've had player's DC before on me and usually if i say GG i add something kind to ensure there's no misreading my comment. That being said this killer in question was still completely in the wrong
Thank you for then ending of this video. It hit me hard. In January of 2020 I became homeless and got Rona. I was 30k in debt. I was withdrawing off meds and I was hopeless. Some great folks helped me and not I'm in my final 4k in debt, my car is paid off and I'm doing amazing things for other folks that I never dreamt of. Thank you for trying to make the community better. I learned a lot from you about how to be a better person. 🖤 I'm glad you're here.
It's DBD I I'm not shocked at all in anyway. I dunno why this is such a thing. If you're getting harassed in twitch or even in discord you can report it and they'll pay attention to the report. It's only on DBD specifically they don't seem to look at reports. You made the video to make this known. Ok cool now let's report them all and take em down let's report Emma while we're at it. Cuz she didn't seem fit to be around well anyone.
12:45 good message but not to sound like a douche canoe but it doesnt always "get better". For me things stayed the same, there were some "improvements" which is cool but majority of my days feel more pointless. reality is, depending on the situation and what exactly it is, it doesn't always get better, it gets easier to deal with. For me its a mixture of intrusive thinking, body dysmorphoia(primarily my face) as well as communication difficulties. I finally have a job after 10 years of trying which is great, im close to passing my driving test at last but it feels pointless for me because I want a relationship too which i know will never happen as I can't even make friends which is something else I want.
A lot of people that talk and act this way are usually not bad people. I've talked person to person to a couple of people that were salty or said some toxic stuff on their stream, and they all said the same things. That they were just having a super bad day and life for them isn't going well right now. It doesn't mean the things they say or do on a public platform is fine or good for the community, but it makes me feel sad. You kinda just end up feeling bad for them. 😔
OFC it’s a Vtuber. Can talk shit but is too scared to show their face while doing so. Also if you tell a person to end it, and they DO…you’re charged with assisting it and go to jail
there used to be Colosseum once where people literally dies everyday and these people are having problem that someone is talking shit sitting behind a screen
Last week I made the best decision I've made regarding DBD. The last couple of months I've been bored maining survivor to the point where I thought it would be fun to do all the adept.. didnt help. Then last week to get the last Killer cosmetics for the bone chill event I played killer and I hated every second of it and realised I only played for the cosmetics, so I dont have to buy them down the line. I dont enjoy playing DBD and just do it so I get shiny shit, so I uninstalled the game, and I've never been more happy
It is never going to stop since you are playing a game where you are the killer (which is the conceptual design of a bully) and you have four survivors (which are the victims on a school playground) in a sandbox design level like a school playground. It is never going to change and most people will never change.
@@Dreigonix no its not, its the truth, the game mechanics are that you as the killer are the villain, and most people see a villain as evil, or a bully. These people just need to learn that the person behind their screen isnt an actual fuckin killer 😭
@@Crow23346 I would love to be able to have fun playing the heel. I would love to be able to low-key root for the survivors while I give them the best challenge I can give. But I can’t do that if, rather than them having fun trying to beat me, they just hate me and want me to die in real life. I also can’t do that if the game balance is so out of whack that the survivors can still just walk over me with no challenge at all. (Nerf Nurse and buff every other killer, please.)
It's good you explain a bit and even try to show that if you are in a fuckdd up moment who can't say the others who screwed you up aren't on same point..but dude.. one of problems is thr anger management

As a psych major, I agree with this statement and now I want to look into this
I've wondered the same. The DBD community and especially the DBD streamer community kind of defies most video game community demographics.
I genuinely believe it is because of how poorly maintained and designed the game is. It is so genuinely frustrating to play that it makes people that play it stressed to the point of threats and violence.

Don’t put too much on yourself. It’s great that you can take everyone’s pressure off, but that pressure doesn’t disappear it goes to you. Listen to how you feel and sometimes just talking about it, whoever it is, really helps to get some of that excess pressure out.

Whenever I have a rough game as killer, I always like seeing GGs personally; it reminds me that this is just a game and that I shouldn't get so stressed over it. It's also a lot better than seeing, "Ez, get good, loser, or 'you're so toxic'".
My first thought it usually, at least somebody had fun.
I always just say GGs or compliment their playstyle. Even toxic players eventually cave and be nice lmao.
The community is beginning to be more salty thru the years i just hope it doesn't turn into one of those games were the community destroys the game
I feel like a lot of people have kinda left the game because of salty players and just knowing that others games don't have the same community.
A lot of spoiled kids play this game unfortunately. Kids are very toxic and usually shred the community apart as well as adults that have not grown up it's quiet embarrassing 🙄. Rage happens but wishing death on anyone especially members of one's family is wrong and unacceptable.
Gaming communities that are the most salty that make the game hard to enjoy..

Mario Party players
and Overwatch Ranked players.
@@LordBackhandTVi find there are way more adults who still spend hours opon hours gaming are much more likely to be toxic in dbd games then kids in my experience. Most of spooks vids are on manbabys as an example.

Idk why you specified who you play. Kinda pointless
You can’t main both lol, if you “main” killer then you don’t play survivor. You play both.
when i first played dbd i thought the flashlight was used for very dark areas and just end up wasting 3 flashlights
I was the same 😂😂 it makes me laugh thinking of my baby self 5 years ago trying to use them 😂😂
LOL Same Dude it would be cool for DBD to have a spin off, where instead being a 4v1 competitive match.
Toxicity:
Flashy spam, Chain blinds, chain head ons
Not toxicity:
Using a perk (Op as DH may be), and using flashlights for their intended purpose
Toxic:
Sandbagging to bleedout, Face camping when not in a desperate spot, hitting on hook
Not toxic:
Camping if necessary to get any leverage, Slugging, using a perk (Even if it's op)
No way common sense
Nah, hitting on hook saved me countless times from hearing that long ass scream
OMG!! Wtf is wrong with ppl....its just a video game and never should be used as a reason to justify such things....I completely agree with you on every word...especially the TTV part...having other players come into your stream is the whole point of having TTV in there

13:20 I really appreciate that you said this, it helps. Don't apologize for something like that to sound "sappy", it diminishes the statement.
Cant fault survivors for using something broken, it's in the damn game."
That alone vents the frustrations, because really it's not the other players, it's the systems in the game that make playing it so frustrating for one or both sides.
It's not their fault that it's the most effective way to win, it's the dev for making it that way.

i'm a for-fun but pretty hardcore gamer, i'd say. the majority of my time is spent gaming due to disability, it's one of my only outlets, and i've never felt compelled to be toxic in dbd. i love dbd! i play both roles. i want the people i'm playing with to have fun as much as i'm having fun. i think it's okay to lose and it's okay to die. i count just one kill as a win. i don't mind dying for my teammates if it means they get to escape. i don't understand the toxic parts of the community, because the game can be so fun and harmless if you just allow it to be fun and harmless. all this stress is unnecessary. why play games to destress if you're just gonna be stressed the whole time?

I completely agree i made a comment in this video about the devs being the ones who created this shit

@@xratedv3965 thank you, i really needed that ❤️ safe to say that after that match i just took a break, waited for it to get better then tried again but played wesker and i had fun! may not have ben 4ks all around but i really enjoyed my time

Flashlights can be toxic af. When youre playing killer your POV is already limited. if you get chain blinded, with residual manifest, blastmine and flashbang combo youre hindered from playing.
Have you considered investing in Lightborn? Maybe do that before calling anything toxic. Entitlement is real with you.
@@lilyflower5895 so youre saying only completely healthy people are allowed to play the game. Very interesting.
Like what am I supposed to do, not play?
all you have to do is laugh at all the bitching, maybe talk some shit back every once in a while. at least that’s what I do
@@eridiance9818 Yeah, I usually do that to the people tha tlose, all like "Why did you lose then if i suck so much?" and all that. I wish there was a better solution, but it's all I can think of
dude I love your videos because it's so funny to see people be really mad over nothing
at around 13:00, i really needed to hear all that. thank you for being a kind person spook ❤️
I'm confused on how you guys don't find it fun
@@johnsmith3859 what do you mean?

i respect how you show how it looks like from both sides man keep up the great content
Unpopular opinion that most of the DbD community doesn't understand :
May you win/destroy the other team or lose, saying "Gg" is good sportsmanship.
You can absolutely be justified in being pissed of by flashlights, like being justified by being mad at dying in Elden Ring, even though that's a necessary mechanic
Edit: Yes, the streamer said stuff that wasn't justifiable, but you absolutely CAN be toxic with a flashlight
Bhvr is the Walter white of gaming companies
Why is it that with one person, they’re just fucked up for doing what they are, and with another, “they might be going through some stuff”?
Did you pay attention? He said both are at fault, use your ears.
Lol the first streamer had it coming he sucks waiting out Dead Hard like he is so good, and he plays Wraith, yeah boo-hoo.
This is completely unrelated but I love your hair
I work as prison officer, and even prisonners dont talk like this, thats the thing about them bruh go touch grass
Yeah it's because even prisonners don't have the comfort of anonymity behind the Internet
Well said, big homie. For what it's worth, I'm doing my part to make DBD a better place.
It baffles me how people can think behaviour like this is okay in any situation, let alone after getting angry at a VIDEO GAME
Its that saying again, "hurt people hurt people
that first "shut the fuck up" warmed my heart. not even joking, someone needed to say it.
The salt is awful lately >.

there used to be Colosseum once where people literally dies everyday and these people are having problem that someone is talking shit sitting behind a screen
I mean by this logic, why is the streamer getting offended by game mechanic?
It is never going to change and most people will never change.
>implying killers are the problem
