Call me insensitive but I hate how Jean plays the victim card like when she faked her paranoia and told Stacey "You're scaring me now" after she pushed her last week. She knows exactly what she's doing and this woman is well aware of her actions otherwise she wouldn't have hid the ring when she was around Harvey or her family nor would she have gaslighted Tommy and manipulated him into taking the rap for stealing Mitch's wages after he discovered that she did this. She only plays the bipolar card when it suits her to avoid the consequences of her actions.
Jean is insanely ill. I have seen family members be like this where they don't know shit while they are manic so Jean is not playing the victim, in her mind she's insanely confused on everything that's happened like she probably doesn't remember almost drowning or even asking Harvey to marry her. So yeah, you are insensitive but it's your opinion.
Its not the bipolar card, thats how bipolar works. You exist in several headspaces in one time. Jean forgetting what she did to Stacey even minutes ago (In the shows universe, the scenes' events could possibly be an hour a part) and trying to help her is actually very normal in a bipolar patient.
@@deltaboogaloo633 let me spell it out for you. My mother has bipolar and she is ABSOLUTELY IDENTICAL TO JEAN. She is SO similar it triggers my damn trauma. Facial expressions. Body language. Seeming like she doesnt know what she's doing when she does. She does the exact same. Manipulates but plays dumb, and plays the victim card, in the form of a bipolar card, and tries to blame everything on it. Yet blames me for everything and takes no responsibility. Jean may be ill. But she is still a self-aware, manipulative and selfish liar regardless of whether she has bipolar or not. It's just because she has it she can hide behind it as an excuse whenever it suits her. My mother does the same thing. It's madness and I no longer talk to her because of it. She neglected and gaslighted for years yet acts as if she did nothing wrong. Jeans the same. Refer back to 2000s Jean.
I have really bad bipolar next time I get really poorly I'll send you a message with my address and you can come see for yourself how bad it can be :'(
@@charlieslater312 Yes I mean it’s fairly possible Lily could get Bipolar at some point but why tell that to a 11 year old? Jean needed to be told Stacey could’ve had her children taken away from her again because of Lil taking those pills Xx
Don’t get me wrong I absolutely love a Jean and as someone who’s on medication for depression I have an understanding of her situation but she had no dam right telling Lily has bipolar and she could see it in her? Yes I know it’s the illness talking and she’s clearly not thinking straight I get that but when Stacey confronted her about it she justified the whole thing. Look I know depression ( bipolar disorder) can take over you and you have lack of concentration your emotions are all over the place I experienced it myself but Jean did a bad thing plus telling Arthur that his Dad was murdered Xx
Jean says a lot of things that she probably shouldn’t when she’s acutely-unwell. I’m discounting the time when she gaslit Stacey over the key (that was poor writing talking more than anyone) but she was bitter for a moment when Sean left (no-doubt blaming Stacey to begin-with) and further down that line we’ve also seen her talk to Stacey with pure venom and spiteful malice (2004/2005). When someone has something like bipolar disorder there’s a lot of refusal in holding-back in what’s said and done and that actually is understandable.
Yet another story exhibiting really, really, really bad writing. Drama is okay, yes, but not this never-ending destructive crap that has nothing to do with drama and everything to do with sensationalism. If you want to kill Stacey, kill her and be done but don't make viewers suffer for your failure to come up with dramatic but entertaining storylines. This is crap.
I love Jean and Stacey scenes when they act together you can see the chemistry between them they make it look realistic as mother and daughter
I think Jean should be in a secure unit.
I agree she's a danger to Stacey and herself
Poor My favourite person in Eastenders Stacey slater for ever and life no matter what no else stays team stacey for life ❤

Have you ever been in close contact with someone with bipolar? It is a horrific disease. Jean is brilliant in the part.

Would it kill Stacey to wear some different shiny pants and shoes?
Can you upload the car crash from last night's episode
are you okay? I miss your uploads
Stacey shouldn't have been shouting in jeans face like that

This part of the story was actually really good. It was the bouncy-castle stuff that was badly-written but at least Stacey shone there.
