As good as these characters were, they didn't outright invalidate a lot of characters the way a lot of other characters these days do. Money talks
They either need to be OP or have an interesting mechanics
@@WormyJester8 No to the first part, yes to the second part.
@@starbreaker6441 Guest characters were and will always be a mistake.
@@Wladislav if you port them directly without tuning them to fit the game then yes.
I didnt believe in dlc tier.
Then, i played dbfz.
great video! i miss seeing this game in action.
As a carpenter, the best hammer is a stiletto.
It's crazy to think that Iori and Kyo were DLC in the first place
Good old KOF 98' and Takuma style beat down - those were the days...
They take your 15 dollars and give you OP characters. Then people complain and start nerfing the OP characters you spent 15 dollars on
adding in the Flash meme was godlike
I've seen alot of the Korean 10 dollar team. Iori, Mr. Karate, and Kim

what are you doing here, Harada?
And then Misterio showed up and we all know how it ended !
woah dont let Sajam hear you say DLC characters are OP, he'll tell you to stop being a scrub and "lab it"
Very fun video. Tyvm
As much as i liked old iori i very much enjoyed his new movesets in 13 and its a shame we'll probably never see it again
Leroy and Goku GT gives me PTSD
I used to shred my friends and people online on the mobile KOF i 2012 with Nests Kyo and EX Iori lmao
"You seek out every advantage you get over every other player"
JDCR: hehe armor king go brrt
ain't this guy too well dressed for a fighting game video?
"also I'm not wearing any pants"
ahh that's more like it
getting the feeling that the newly released Garou team is doing the same shit…but as a longtime Garou player, I am so here for it
Omg kokonoe on release was sooo busted that it was fun. Damn i feel old now😭
Damn i really wish they return to 2d again someday
but how 15$
i did bought the game in steam without any dlc that i was aware of or in any offer, and those characters were in the game no problem, makes me think that everyone did have those characters and that's why i've make them my team

Yuri : sorry , daddy
Mr karate : you BET you are !👺
I was so sad to see this happen in real time. I loved 13 and watching the tournaments even after but it felt like mvc2 again lol
The NFL comin for you for that draft jingle.
Mr Karate is literally Akuma of SNK series.
It should be the other way around as Mr. Karate debuted before Akuma.
The online for the game BROKE THIS GAME not those characters....I STOPPED PLAYING KOF13 because of the ONLINE not because of these 15 dollar DLC. In fact MR KARATE was one of my mains why would I stop playing with him if he's SO POWERFUL? NO...I stopped playing BECAUSE THE NETCODE SUCKED that's it that's all...no other reason but THE NETCODE BEING TRASH....I actually wished they would have put some resources into THIS GAME rather than the other remakes as of late this game NEEDS ROLLBACK...
As good as these characters were, they didn't outright invalidate a lot of characters the way a lot of other characters these days do. They were better than the rest, but not to the degree of like, Season 1 Android 16 or Kid Goku. I personally barely touched the DLC and never felt like I was at a huge disadvantage.
I just wish they had a randomizer for their soundtracks. I got tired of hearing Mr.Karate's BGM in that first year, where people gravitated to him before moving onto EX Kyo for their point character.
remember when Tekken released Leroy? Pepperidge Farm remembers... and so will every tekken player until the end of time....
