Thanks for playing a quick dry signal so we at least heard that your amp is already overdriving and can expect to learn pretty much nothing about just the pedal's sound from the video.
Wasn't the Kilt just a copy of the Bixonic Expandora? No, actually, it had the boost/order toggle ... So this is actually more just like a straight copy of the Expandora?!
Kieren Moore yep. Hit the original kilt. I liked my ex pandora better. Returned the kilt. Sorry jhs. Don’t worry I gave every single distortion pedal you’ve made. Angry Charlie AT one of the best out there. Just didn’t need two pedals so close in sound as the kilt.
I actually prefer the 1st version even to my original expandora. The jhs allows you to switch the dip switch while playing live. Plus the boost on the first version is amazing.
Echo at the park the v2 expandora has the switches on the back. Still a pain. But I’m liking this better than v1 of the jhs. Ugh I can’t stop buying pedals. And I bet this is exactly like v1. Sigh. I just like the smaller enclosure and the layout of the toggles. In another demo it sounded different than v1 to me though.
Jim Stanton the expandora v2 had a Drive knob that was suppose to act like the dip switch. Then they made the V3 that had them on the top. Check out gearmandude he has a review of V2 &V3.
Realize this guys. This tone through any other rig than this one set this way.. will most likely sound worse. These guys always tweak the amp and guitar accommodate the pedal and not the other way around. That’s fine for a recording situation but not for live playing where you have your guitar and amp set for great clean tones and various pedals that will jump in and give you “that sound you” in a way you love. 😊
This sounds basically like their JHS Moonshine. Both of them have annnn.. electrical zap kind of sound. I'm starting to think that's the JHS sound. I wish they had more of a natural overdrive sound. (I have friends that work for JHS here in KC so I cooould have the hookup, but, I don't really want anymore of their pedals)
The MS? Don't see that, - eq is more Morning Glory than MS; The V1 covered a wider range, so I could see that as a legit stackable Drive & Boost, - with a sh#ton of added clipping if you want to go there. I wanted to like the MS, but just never vibed with it.
This pedal is much more versatile with a lot of possibilities : brillant low gain overdriven sounds and plenty of middle to high gain nice sounds. Mike Hermans obtains lovely classic rock tones with.
As soon as I got this thing, scratched my head that it doesn’t get really mentioned in guitar circles. Extremely fun.
It does in churches
KYUSS!!!!?!?!?!
I love u
Future WIFE!!!?!?!
Hey Joe...great demo....serious...straight forward ...step by step....concise review..Thank you my friend
The most versatile dirt pedal ever made, period.
So Joe… You got a reverend to give us a peek under the kilt. Sometimes that what it takes, I guess. ;)
Good stuff, bro!
Great Kyuss riffs
Sounds pretty darn cool! Great job as always Joe.
Kyuss and Qotsa in one demo? Hot damn!
what was the Queens one?
Someone's in the Wolf at around 4:45
that fuzz sound tho!
Misleading video title. This pedal doesn’t even have Reverb.
I actually thought was!
🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
Damn Joe! Your demos are smoking man!
It should make your guitar sound like bagpipes
that "bleep" at 03:48 was sweeet. do it again
Cheeky bit of QOTSA 😉
Excellent review, great playing!
Too bad the boost is gone
Kyuss as the opening riff is tough
Nice tone -thinking about intimidating my other drive pedals with it. Time for them to step up their game or be put on tilt.
Cool pedal. Seems like 57, but what pre u guys use?
whats the intro song ?
Filip Šak Kyuss - Demon Cleaner.
What is that single cut white guitar...
jet black Fano
Thanks
Where has this pedal been my whole life?..
Pe Peroni it’s been the bixonic expandora.

Délivrance why is that what you’re mainly worried about?
You creep..
err...just trollin a bit! relax! my bad, silly joke...didn't necessitate any reply...
What song?
1st song: demon cleaner by Kyuss
Instant QOTSA
Not impressed enough to stop using my Electro Harmonix Hot Wax duel overdrive pedal
No one cares
Sounds like my fuzz

Yeah u need to let Andy do ALL OF THE PEDAL REVIEWS
nah
Demo definitely doesn't give the pedal justice..

Sounds like a Boss Heavy Metal Pedal with a weak battery. I suppose there is a market for that sound. Justin Bieber perhaps.
Death By KItty ?????
Yeah man I heard J bieber on the radio the other day and the 1st thing I thought was "holy shit that sounds exactly like that kilt pedal.
huh? couldn't you just play simple chords?? i want to hear the damn thing.. it's hard with your plucking around
