Thanks everyone for watching. We hope to be back on the road very soon. In our next video all will be revealed why we were unable to travel for over two weeks. We hope you enjoy this episode 😁
It has been so stressful but thank goodness we have had good friends to support us. Thanks so much to Jason and Lisa who have graciously allowed us back to the farm and more so arranged and provided most of the solutions!
Hello! Ahaha yes he is solid! He has grown alot this past month. I was sayingnI want to get him DNA checked as he is far to solid and active for a Frenchie! But I know the breeders are 100%, his Dad was pure muscle!
Hey derek grab some blue loctite 243 for the nuts on the ensuite door nuts to prevent them vibrating loose, i used it on the door latch pins and the tunnel boot latch nuts aswell. Maguire's plastx for the windows. Keep the dent as a memory as it's not hurting anything.
Cut and polish and and buffer from a auto dealer that will fix the scratch. And a roll of gater plastic that sticks on the metal when your going through the bush that will stop any scratches in future. Gater plastic you can peel it off when you are back on the road i use it on my jeep when I go bush.
Tgisnis 8nvredibly helpful advice Peter, thank you very much. I will get straight onto that! The film is an excellent idea for future travels, going to wrap th whole van in it 🤣
Nice video guys. Very good to see your smiles wile talking about your van, it amazing if your builder is just as invested as you in your Van, it surely helps getting it as right as possible. Love Mr Bob he is turning into a beautiful boy and a solid one too. We are still miffed we missed you in Ulladulla and Batemans, we want to send you a gift but could have hand delivered it Thanx for your hard work Cheers Johnny&Rene
Merry Christmas to the three of you. With your bathroom door, use a very little lock tight on the nuts!. Now hope all is ok with your land cruiser. Take care. 🎄🎄🎄🎄🤗
Thanks so much Gail. 👍 will let Deryck know. We donate some lock tight and a very Merry Christmas to you as well. Thank you so much for you support through the year, it is much appreciated 🙏
Hi guys. I'm so glad your happy with your van. A product we found very helpful with the scratches on our van windows is Meguiars Plastx. It actually does work and the windows look great. Keep enjoying yourselves and Merry Christmas.
Another great vid guys, glad the van has lived up to your expectations......With that little bit of damage where the door has flown back into the side panel...can you mount a small rubber door stop there , one that will still let you latch the door back when required . This may also cover and hide the actual damage.....Carry on enjoying the good life.....Cheers.
Thanks so much Graeme, yes it has beennperfect for what we do and how we live. Thanks for the advice. Will jump online and see what options for door stops there are. Have a great week 😀
I am so pleased you are happy with the van. It is a big investment. I guess most of us have similar issues, but the van is ment to be used. It's good to know you have a great build that you can rely on when travelling. I hope the 'mischief' on the car is fixed soon and you are back on the road soon. Have a great week.
Hey Janice, great to see your comment. Agree with you 100%, if you live and travel in a van full time you are bound to have some sort of damage! It's the nature of moving 7 ton around the country on wheels.
I have the same blinds in my van. They definitely degrade over time and end up with marks and stains on them which bothered me. I ended up removing the inside sections of the windows which contains the blinds (phillips head screws around the inside perimeter of the frame). After removal, I placed them on a table and fully closed the blind and then masked off the white plastic frame. Then using a standard pressure pack of semi gloss white paint, I resprayed each blind with 2-3 coats and they came up like new. Before refitting the blinds, I made sure I scratched off the paint from the nylon fishing line guides so the blinds would open without being restricted by the paint on the fishing line. With some blinds, I also repainted the silver side with silver spray paint where the surface had degraded with the sun. Blinds now look like new and with added protection from further stains as the paint has given them a protective barrier. Hope this helps guys.
For the dent where the door hit, go to a Clark Rubber store and grab a thick piece of rubber/neoprene or similar (tell them it’ll be outside so needs to be UV resistant), cut a round shape to cover whatever size the dent is. Grab some black 3M VHB (very high bond) double-sided tape and stick it over the dent. Done, covers the current dent and helps to mitigate any future misfortune.
Get video 👍🏻 love your van and am seriously looking at them in the future thanks to you guys testing and reporting on how it’s going. Keep up the good work and enjoy 🍻
Great review and really well done on the format you used with clips from over the time. You so deserve more subs with your excellent quality videos! I can see you must be spending a heap of time and effort on them. Keep up the awesome work.
Thanks so much Grant! This is awesome feedback and encouragement. Deryck does spend a lot of time on the content and editing. He is really great attitude. Yes more subs, we are literally the slowest growing channel lol but we donitnfor the love of it! Thanks again for your support!
Mr. Bob, trying to make a spectacle of himself. Haha. Great shakedown guys. I'm so pleased your van is holding up well. I liked the build video you did when it was being constructed. You mentioned issues with your tow rig. I really hope it's not too serious. It's a great tow vehicle & your whole rig is awesome. Have a great festive season team. I do enjoy your episodes & look forward to them. 😊😊
So happy for you both that the van has reached your expectations over 6 months. As per usual, another great video. Look forward to many more next year. We are doing the towing course this Friday and then having everything weighed next week.
Thanks Kathleen, wow Friday! That is around the corner! Hopenit goes well, good on you for doing it, most don't and I think itnis invaluable. Good luck!
Hey guys. Nice run down of the van. Was nice to recap your trip so far. I did think Sue was cut mid sentence a few times though 😉 Shame about the sunnies, Maybe you need to eat more carrots 🥕 😂 🐰 Love ya 😉🤙🤗🦆
Great run down, such a lovely van. Looking forward to seeing your next travels. The Muster.....could be a bit dangerous after a few wines with so many vans looking the same. Knowing me I would end up in the wrong van by accident hahaha 😉👍
Thanks so much Andy, appreciate your support every week! Really good to hear you enjoy the channel! Hmmm the UTE! You wouldn't believe it to be honest but will reveal all next week. Have a great week!
Hi Deryck and Sue, you are such pros at putting these episodes together, they just keep getting better and I love watching every second. It was so good to see baby Bob again and I loved all the recap footage too. Have a lovely and safe Xmas ❤️❤️, I’ll bet Bob is getting a few pressies 😂
The van is looking good. Can you please talk about Sues job on the road. Did she already have the job before leaving or did you get it after. How does it work etc. Tah x
Great Video, good to see Sue is feeling better, hope all is ok with the Cruiser and not too much cost $$$. That's a great van and if I was upgrading would definitely be up the top of my list, you mentioned a few times that you specified/built the van for your set up, can you advise what changes you made to the stock standard Vacationer 186C.
Thanks so much! I am feeling alot better! We are coming right with the cruiser. Hopefully back on the road soon. Great to hear you like the van. We changed alit on the stock standard vacationer. Will get Deryck to send all details to you. Hope you have an awesome week!
We didn’t upgrade too much to be honest. We wanted a 186 dual axle with some clearance , hence the flat floor which gives us loads of ground clearance. We upgraded the power to the Dakar power system, added the dust reduction system. Added the black pack, stereo upgrade, timber bench tops , wall hung washing machine and I think that’s pretty much it to be honest
Great vid guys, van is a cracka. How have you found the DRS, we are heading to the cape next year and was looking at affordable options for reducing the dust.
The DRS is great. Only prob we had was we didn't take any ne filters and once the filter is full it doesn't work. I reakon take 2 spare filters and you will be good!
Hey thanks for the video. On your rear bumper on the van I noticed a pipe bracket can I ask where you got that from as it looks like a great bracket for a pole to mount the Starlink
use electrical heat shrink on the arms of your sunnies I reckon will fix em
Not a bad idea guys. I’ll give it a go 🤙🏻
Sheer brilliance! I will see if Deryck will go for it
Thanks everyone for watching. We hope to be back on the road very soon.
In our next video all will be revealed why we were unable to travel for over two weeks.

6 months already! Time flies but it has been amazing great to look back on it!
Can’t believe it as well and what we achieved. Let’s hope we can get back out soon 😊
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year guys.
Thanks Dave, appreciate the support. Hope you have a Merry Christmas 🎅

Thanks mate, that sounds great! Ahaha yeah looks as though we might be keeping the dent 🤣 hope you jave a great Christmas 🎄
Only way to watch, with a coffee ❤👌
Deryck try using a wax wash with Carnauba Wax in it eg super cheap have Borden’s own wax wash .
Thanks mate. Will have a look 😁
With def give that a try, thanks Stewie!
The only thing I would change on the van is having the door open forwards so if it does come open it doesn't slam into the van.
Great episode, thanks.
I 100% agree. It would mitigate this happening. Will def be a request for any future vans! Great call!
If you do that it will hinder opening the window near the bed.
@@Aussie_Damo yes I see what you mean now. That's awkward.
Cut and polish and and buffer from a auto dealer that will fix the scratch.

There is a wrap that is clear and it just goes on like a decal would, it "repairs" itself when in the Sun
Great review guys. It is a stunning van. You should be proud.
Thanks so much Brett, we are proud and really enjoy living in OT. Hope you have an epic week ahead!
Thank you Brett 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Another awesome video guys good to see the van holding up Very interested in next weeks video !
Thanks mate, hope you jave a great Christmas, appreciate your support!
Run a bead of soudal exterior no more gaps in white. It will stop the vibration/rattle
Thanks Jamie 👍 that is awesome will grab some this weekend! Really appreciate the feedback!

Suggestion the dent on the side of van from the door get a bit of black aluminum and silastic it over the dent pop rivet if you feel its needed

Hey folks, what is the camera you have there for filming in the van
Hi guys have you should try color fast t-cut for the scratches. I used it on my car and it worked great.
Thanks Rachel, that's great thanks so much, will give it a go! Hope you have a great week!
cool ep, and lovely van, but way out our budget, we roll in a 1983 windup Jayco with my wife and I and our 1 teenage daughter and 3 young adult sons.
The van is looking good. Can you please talk about Sues job on the road. Did she already have the job before leaving or did you get it after. How does it work etc. Tah x
Hi Natalie, thanks so much for the support and question.
Would one of your round Justvaninit stickers “hide” the dent made by the door?
Not a bad idea at all. Thank you 🙏
Hmmm that's a pretty good idea Dot 💡 and it would be branding as well. Will let Deryck know. Thanks so much for sharing!
