Hey My dearest friends&guitarists, In case any of you missed it I've recently done a full #tutorial on #tearsinheaven #unplugged by #ericclapton . I've made a nice playlist so you'll find everything in one place :-) Liking and sharing the video is free of charge ;-) Have a nice week and don't work too hard! André
I'm a connoisseaur of you tube guitar tutorials and ....trust me....this is the BEST one out there...you wont find ANYTHING as good as this one. ..well done man...I'm gonna be lookin and listening to you everyyyyy nightttttttt ...my "guitar school"....I try to practice few hours every night. thanks for putting your time and energy into this..EXCELLENT work.
This is the best explanation video I have seen with this song. So many people just show there hands. Not the tab. So it’s confusing what they’re actually doing. Good job on making a great video. Wanted to play this for my fine arts night at school. Now I can, so I thank you. Keep up the good work.
I can play this now, success!!! Thank you so much for your videos. Your explanations are really clear and having the tab + picking hand + chords at the same time makes it so much easier to understand
I would like to thank you because this video helps me to play the song. 3 years ago I learned to play tears in heaven. And after not using guitar for about 2 years I'm here again to remember and to learn again to play this song hahaha
incroyable le temps que tu dois mettre pour nous, les paresseux, a apprendre des tunes. avec tout ce que tu nous présentes, si on les apprends pas... on les apprendra jamais! merci beaucoup.
I really like how you do not make me feel like an idiot. When I come to your videos I can expect to be taught. None of this beating around the bush to buy your e-book that can teach me how to play.
Hey my fellow 6-stringers(or more)! In case anyone missed it, i've done a series of #guitarlessons on the #unplugged version of #tearsinheaven by #ericclapton I've always preferred that version over the studio version, perhaps because I loved pretty much that whole unplugged series on #MTV at the time. In any case, if you don't know that version (can't imagine), you should check it out! So... In case you're in the mood for some #acoustic Clapton, check out my tutorial :-) Oh, and don't forget to like and share on your way out ;-) André Guitar Lesson & TAB: Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton p1. How to play: Intro&Verse Unplugged
Hi Andre, found your site today when I was hired for a memorial service this Saturday and they requested "Tears In Heaven". Very well done. Thank you :)
Thank you for sharing Melany, how special to play on a memorial service, I think it takes a special kind of person to do that as those situations can be very emotional. will you be singing too?
Your Guitar Workshop Thanks for the kind words Andre. Yes I'll be singing also. I mostly perform for families. I love writing songs for children. Here's a link to my 3rd album, Animalopolis www.cdbaby.com/cd/melanyperkins.
Best guitar lesson of tears in heaven on youtube... Sorry for my bad english i am from Germany ;) . Thank you so much. i subscribe for you, and merry christmas !
That's awesome that you've learned to play the song now. Really powerful music, in a gentle way. The story behind it is heartbreaking though, even more now I have kids myself
Try playing the Baseline on the E-String with your left-hand's thumb, like gripping around the neck with your whole Hand. Learned it like this from my teacher years ago and works perfectly well for me.

There is a lot of Tears in heaven tutorial but for me this is the best for beginners like me and because of this video, now I can play the Tears in heaven! ❤️
All your tutorials are helpfull (at least for me:) and I like your teaching style. a little thing, Im not sure if anyone else mentioned that but it can be more easier if you sing along while you play with the guitar (it more easy to follow you) Thak you very mach andre.
HI! I really enjoy your style of teaching, as well as how you edit your videos. I've been able to learn very quickly and have no trouble taking a break and coming right back where I left off. Just wanted to leave a word of encouragement and say keep doing what you're doing! Thank you sir. :)
André, Thanks so much making these tutorials, finally learning how to play "Tears in Heaven" and you are doing a great job of explaining each of the chords and picking pattern. After this song, it's gonna be "Let her Go" :) ...
The best online guitar lessons on the net, precise and to the point, well done, could you please do something by Ben Howard, he is very popular at the moment and has beautiful acoustic songs but tricky to learn, i am sure you would explain them perfectly
Thank you so much! Your tutorials are so helpful and I really like the fact you go over the same part more than once so we get a bit of time to try it ourselves. :) Thank you!!
yeah I know what you mean, it's just I don't have an e-book yet ;-) But I also understand those teachers who do that kinda thing. They need to provide for their families and probably teaching or playing is what they know and do. I think it is a good trade in the end, free content for us and they can do their sales pitch. Free stuff is nice but none of us expect to go to work and never get paid, we all have loved ones who need bread on the table.
On the offchance that you read this comment: I've been struggling with this song for a few months now but i always wanted to get it right. Stumbled across your channel and i got it in in like 30 minutes. Subbed now & gonna go through your other vids to see what else i can learn from you :-)
with me there's never an offchance :-) I try to read every comment, even the nasty ones :-) Great to read that my tutorial helped you end your struggles with this song! I'm sure there'll be a song or two that you'll enjoy and if you have any requests do let me know!
Thanks so much Andre, great tutorial looking forward to the next installment. Ive been working on this for awhile now and your lesson will help immensely. How's fatherhood treating you?
:-) ..Goodbye blue sky is on my todo list (long list!). I love that song and will do it but don't know when yet and flattery can go a looooong way, ask my wife ;-)
thank you! I don't know ben (yet!) but I'll check out his stuff, if I like it I am positive I'll be doing a tutorial on one or more of his songs. I gotta say though, many requests and so little time to make them. I do the youtube stuff on the side and can only do so much but I'll give it my best efforts! So no guarantees but... (actually I did guaranteed by Eddie Vedder :-)
I'll check the song, Jack Johnson has some great music... If it will work for me I'll make a tutorial but don't expect it very soon, the list is long and at the moment I don't have much time. Does JJ always play it with capo or does he also play it without sometimes?
thankyou so much for these tutorials. I've mastered the 3, but am having trouble working out the sequence. I've downloaded the tab from your website. Help!
+learning as i go. what I would do is just sit down with the music and grab pen and paper and write it down. You'll probably recognise difference between all the different parts.
Your work good and nice please keep that lessons... Do you make lessons for Kiss the rain and river flows in you by Yiruma?and Swimming by Hans Zimmer? thanks
since I don't have a phone and can't tweet a suggestion, and if you can tweet through computer I have a clue Not. So if I may make a request, can you do a lesson of Pink Floyd's "Goodbye Blue Sky" a nice piece for the classical guitar or even the acoustic, guaranteed yours lesson on the net would be the best......my Mom said flatterry will get you know where, but thought I'd give it a try LOL! Cheers!
The combination of the tab and split screen is one of the best lessons I've seen-many thanks.
Thanks Toby!
The best
