The Vikings had Cris Carter to act as "Big Brother", which made it a better fit. Paxton Lynch graded out better athletically than pretty much any QB in his class, including Prescott. Problem....mechanics are often an issue for those beyond a certain height. He was a project who fit the scheme well. Prescott, was drafted where he should have been. Dallas was as shocked as anyone when he stepped right in . Personally, given that they ran the Shanahan offense at the time, I wanted Atlanta to take Dak as an heir to Ryan and deal Matt for a package of picks within a couple of years at the most.
