Manziel and Wheadon were far worse than Tim Couch.
Johnny Football really sucked
Yeah I was puzzled by that myself and I’m not even a Browns fan lol.
It’s probably based on draft position as opposed to just how terrible they were. A wasted #1 pick is far worse than a wasted #22.
@@Incuensuocha
True
Who's Wheadon
RG3 was not a bad pick lol
Just a horrible team to be on
@@kevothagoat9019And just a big what if
Heath Shuler makes RG3 look like Jalen Hurts.
These people have no business making anything football related
No, he wasn't a bad pick. The team just screwed him up by having him play hurt.
Y’all really put Vince young as the titans worst over Jake locker?
No fr
Jake Locker was the worst
I was gonna comment this shit too!
Vince Young*, Titans*, Jake Locker*
Locker had a better career . Vince young had 10 more ints than tds in his career
Jason Campbell was our worst QB drafted in Washington. Not Griffin. He was our big “what if”
Even as a 🇬🇧 lions fan, I’ll second that. He was f’d over by your owner.
Heath Shuler was worse.
@@E_Cleazyagree with you on that
So many worse than RG3. Patrick Ramsey anyone?
@@lxfenix absolutely
I hate seeing the Carr hate for the Texans. He literally should have set for a year behind a vet while they got the Oline fixed
Yeah, NOT his fault. The Texans were a new franchise, literally, and he was the first draft pick ever…
🤔
Same scenario as couch. It’s stupid to put guys that were murdered by incompetent expansion teams on here
Rick Mirer was not Seattles worst. That would be Dan McGwire. 1st round pick, career back up, 2TD's - 6INT's. 745 total yards passing and a career passer rating of 52.3.
This is absolutely reprehensible. As ass as Vince Young was they drafted a guy named Jake locker that was 100 times worse, and for Washington RG3 are you serious???? Do you not remember Patrick Ramsey, Jason Campbell, Dwayne Haskins or Heath Schuler??? And for Tampa Testevarde sucked but he was better than Shaun King Trent Dilfer and Josh Freeman. And with Chicago atleast Trubisky had 1 good season did you forget about a guy named Cade Mcnown. That’s 4 off the top of my head and I haven’t even googled anything. Seriously who does your research????
Art Schlicter for Colts
Heath Schuler for Washington
Jake Locker did far less than Vince.
Trubisky is the bears worst QB pick? No not even close he did win in Chicago if you’re going back to Luckman as our best then you need to go back to Cade McNown he was by far the bears worst pick at QB
Was he a first rounder?
Yes, McNown was a first rounder. Think he lasted two seasons and was just a horrible player and person. Trubisky actually won games and had the Bears in position to win in the 2018 season playoffs.
@@DaSledgeCat McCown was absolutely pitiful the entire team HATED him even his OL his attitude was that he was our savior
@davemeers37 absolutely a garbage person. I remember Big Cat loathed him. Plus he had the whole UCLA handicapped parking deal too.
100 percent, Trubisky at least got the Bears to the playoffs
So that’s David Carr, Ryan Leaf AND Jamarcus Russell as the worst busts in history, make your mind up …
David Carr was just in the position ever compared to the all the other bust in NFL history
To be fair David Carr was in qb purgetory for most of his career.
Joey Harrington as well was set up for failure with a lions team doomed for failure
@@awakenedbyyhuhassembly6015 he was literally on a Texans team who just became a team
David Carr got Sacked 76 times still is an NFL Record 22 years to the day but on the brighter side Carr won a Super Bowl Ring in 2011 with the Giants backingup Eli Manning 5:42
How is Flacco not the Ravens best QB? He's actually won them a Super Bowl, unlike Lamar has been able to do...
You honestly think if Lamar had that team, they wouldn't have won too?
Flacco won the Super Bowl because of that DEFENSE, Not because he was such an incredible quarterback, like Jim McMahon and Chicago Bears…
The reason the Ravens are currently always payoff contenders is because of Lamar Jackson…
🤔
@superzero4250 flacco overall might not be an elite qb, but for the playoffs that year he was perfect and led that team
Why do people pick Jeff George over Art Schlister??? Schlister put up far worse stats and then got kicked out for gambling. Geroge put up far better stats and they got a first round pick for George that they turned into Marvin Harrison. They got nothing for Schlister.
Probably because there was more hype for George, including trading away a budding star WR and their Pro Bowl guard for the privilege of drafting him.
George was the overall #1 pick.
They picked him because these people incompetent
The fact y’all went back 1939 for the bears is crazy 😂😂😂
And they said he was drafted first overall in 1973, and not 1937...
@@nascarsteve you know these kids don’t pay attention
Fun fact: The Bears are the only NFL team that has never had a 4,000 yard passer.
@@HarryBalszakor 30 passing tds
I’d say manziel was much worse than couch. Couch was just injury prone and manziel was just a bad locker room guy. Both put up bad stats but the context was different. Also Trubisky being the bears worst qb in any category seriously needs to die. Mcnown was much worse. Trubisky actually had a winning record in Chicago and never threw a pick six either. Just because there were better qbs in the first round doesn’t automatically mean he’s the worst in franchise history
I agree about Trubisky. His completion % and TD to INT ratio are actually decent, if we are basing it on stats.
Here's an idea: How about each team's best QB that who was drafted by another team? Drew Brees, John Elway, Eli Manning and Joe Theisman immediately come to mind.
Except that’s not Chris Miller at 1:05 for the worst draft pick of the Falcons, that’s Chris Chandler whom they didn’t draft but picked up in free agency. He actually led them to Super Bowl XXXIII.
And Tony Graziani was a way worse pick actually drafted by Atlanta as well. This whole list reads like something that wasn't well researched.
Yeah, this list needs some work.... Bears worst was definitely Cade McNown and not Trubisky and Broncos best being Brian Griese???? Really ???? Guess they forgot about Elway
TPS will never be accused of doing too much research for thier videos
Elway wasn't drafted by the Broncos. He was drafted by the Colts and traded to the Broncos.
Rex Grossman was much worse than Trubisky
My family is bears fans they all will say it's Rex Grossman
If not for the bears dominate defense and run game, he would of been considered a bust
For thr broncos, I would have probably put Jay Cutler over Griese
Broncos didn't draft Elway.
Love your video and TPS and keep up the great work you are awesome
RG iii… this has to be a joke… dudes career was cut short by injuries… they’ve definitely had worse first round qb picks lol
Heath Shuler
In Ryan Leafs Defense, I have to put Eli Manning as the Chargers worst QB pick.
Ryan Leaf was bad, but wasting a 1st round pick on a player who refused to play for you just sounds worse
Thet's the same reason I put Elway as the Colts worst QB pick.
Ryan Leaf 🍃 had a really bad attitude that was another thing that hurt his career
So we gonna pretend like jags didn't have Leftwich smh
I can't remember his first name.
I already knew it would be Zach Wilson. I already knew it would be Zach Wilson. I already knew it would be Zach Wilson.
I’m surprised you didn’t have Trey Lance as San Francisco’s worst QB draft.
Seemed like the obvious choice to me
I was thinking it was Jim Drunkenmiller
RG3 wasn’t a bad pick. Like you mentioned he pretty much had a career ending injury in that Seattle playoff game his rookie year.
Phil Simms was at his BEST winning 2 Super Bowl Championships a starter in 1986 after a 86% completion went 22-25 but in 1990 his backup Jeff Hostetler took over and won it after Mr.Simms got injured in the Regular Season at the time 10:30
The latter Super Bowl was more about defense anyway, they only needed 20 points and of course Wide Right.
Heath Shuler is the worst Redskins drafted QB...
Brandon Weeden worst for the Browns.
Jake Locker for the Titans.
Josh Freeman for the Bucs.
Brees was drafted by the chargers
@@matthewclark1314 I glitched. You are 100% correct.
@@E_Cleazy it happens . For what it’s worth everyone knows Brees is the best Saints qb of all time though.
I think Sam Howell was the worst QB pick for the Commanders.
Ponder was selected by the Vikings I think you mean Jake locker same draft just earlier
This was amazing! Can you guys do best undrafted players by team?
New York Jets best is about to be Jordan Travis. He was good in college with good PFF metrics and he gets to learn behind Rodgers
I loved Brett Farve in Green Bay, Drew Brees in New Orleans, some of these I'm way way to remember.
Farve was drafted by the falcons and Brees by the chargers that's why they're not here
@@nickdavis7391
I thought Bret Farve was a Packer?
@@kimwaddell4218 he was, but he was drafted by the Falcons.
@@tquinlivan
Besides the Vikings all I remember Farve is Green Bay
@@nickdavis7391 Also, Brees and Favre* were both drafted in the 2nd round.
Washington commanders: the number six pick of 1973 played in the 40s check the script for the year Sammy Ball was actually drafted
Plus, the best and worst QB that franchise ever had played when the team was still called the Redskins.
Digit transposition, Sammy Baugh was drafted in 1937, and immediately led the then-Redskins to an NFL championship.
“Kyler Boller” 😂🤣😂🤣😂
The 49ers traded three first round picks for Trey Lance.
The moral of the story is don't trade away the store for a QB that hasn't proven themselves at the Pro Level. For every CJ Stroud that comes along there are 10 more Trey Lances.
Correction, The broncos best quarterback draft pick was john elway
The Broncos didn't draft him.He was drafted by the colts, but refused to play for them, and wanted to play in the MLB.Because of that, they traded him to the Broncos.
@@JacksonFitz interesting
Kinda like how Eli Manning didn't wanna play for the chargers
Jeff fisher notoriously fails qbs that’s why Vince young failed
Tbh mcnair was good
@@JQUiK84 that’s one of multiple qbs who had success after fisher… Goff Foles and the dude from the Vikings all had success after fisher and they all looked like burnouts with him
It's not shocking that Staubach went so low when he had a committment to fulfill to the US Navy to serve, when the Vietnam war was going on. No team would reasonably use a high pick on him when he was risking his life to serve in the military.
Russell Wilson with the Seattle Seahawks BEST a 3rd Round pick out of Wisconsin in 2012 but he won a Super Bowl Ring in 2013 after two trips 13:00
Pure recency bias here naming Daniel Jones (who won a playoff game) as the worst Giants drafted QB and ignoring their other #1 bust from Duke Dave Brown.
Yes, Jones at least has potential to get better, Brown never had much upside (although he had to deal with some awful coaching).
Tbh, if the Bears drafted Mahomes or Watson then the media would've said we could've drafted one of the QB's instead of Mahomes or Watson.
Instead, if Mahomes getting a 10-year contract with the Chiefs, it could've been either Trubisky or Watson which ever QB the Bears take at No.2 overall.
Considering all San Fran gave up to take trey lance im surprised hes not on here
In my opinion nobody has or ever will take Joe Montana's place as being the best ever
TPS you are the BEST in my opinion because I'm enjoying what you do so well👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 15:08
Jim Kelly was drafted in 83' by Buffalo. But he actually didn't play for Buffalo till the 86' after playing in Canada. But Manuel was a horrible pick for a cold weather team.
Kelly played in the USFL didn't he?
Yeah that's the 3 year gap
How is Harrington worse than Andre ware?!?
That's a good question right?
How does Lamar Jackson make himself and his team a Super Bowl contender now that he’s 2-4 in the postseason??!! He needs more experience as a veteran quarterback than meets the eye!
How are the Ravens not a SB contender 🤷🏾♂️...???
Lamar Jackson should have also been named their worst drafted quarterback as well 😂.
Joe Flacco the best so it don't matter
@@kevinstull8552can’t put a 2x mvp as worst
I agree Flacco was a much better QB for the Ravens.
That Kenny Pickett diss was personal lol
Most Steelers bad qbs weren't drafted by them or the ones that were drafted by them didn't start enough to be considered bad
12:43 I can’t be the only one thinking Earl Morrall looks like a mix between Nikola Jokic and Aaron Rodgers💀🤔
I think the Colts should be John Elway, since he never played a down for them
Elway Mario and Kelly from 1983 NFL DRAFT Class at QB's are in the Hall Of Fame 7:00
Kelly was pretty good
Two from Western Pa like Johnny Unitas and Joe Montana
@@thepubknight6144
Johnny Unitas no clue who he is
Elway,* Marino* and Kelly
In addition to those three Tony Eason and Ken O'Brien went in the first round after Blackledge as well. Neither were on the same level as the 3 HOFers but they were both light years better than Blackledge. To me Blackledge has to be one of the worst draft choices of ALL TIME. It literally set that team back another half a decade +.
Sid Luckman was the BEST in his prime he had 7 Touchdowns in one game 2:24
In my opinion David Carr was only a “bust” because he initially lacked protection.
Sam Bradford Made it in the AIHOF which is hard how that is worse since he does not any bad press.
That wasn't Chris Miller for the Falcons that was Chris Chandler who was the Quarterback in thier first Superbowl. Brett Favre was Atlanta's best drafted qb
Kyler Buller….when it says Kyle Boller on the profile picture. 😂😂😂
At first I was like how is Brian Griese the Broncos best draft pick? Then I realized Elway was originally drafted by the Colts and traded to the Broncos
12:03 big ben. You can make a case for him
I'm not a Steelers fan. But I agree with Big Ben
Yea I’d take Big Ben over Terry Bradshaw anytime any day,I feel like if you gave Ben that team,he’d win more than 4 Superbowls
@@paulrayiii299
I always remember Terry Bradshaw as an announcer
Id choose Ben. Bradshaw won more Super Bowls but he was surrounded by hall of famers in the era where they couldn't leave.
Has either went into HOF?
Steelers entry: “Who else was it gonna be?”
So does Big Ben not exist or…?
How was the Colts’s worst not Art Schlitcher?
Kind of an inconsistency when you'll talk about a bust's TD/INT Ratio, Career Starts, Wins/Losses for people like Rick Norton, Paxton Lynch, Jimmy Clausen etc but then be like "Worst Bust in NFL History" for David Carr, Jamarcus Russell and Ryan Leaf and list none of those stats to back up your argument.
Idk kind of sus to me bro.
Uh... the Washington Commanders never selected either of those guys. The Washington Redskins did. It's OK to say their name.
Some of these are awfully premature
Rex Grossman was WAY worse than Trubisky
So was Cade McNown
Roger Staubach was also a member of the U.S. Navy
As a Raiders fan, I never wanna see Jamarcus Russell again 😂.
RIP to Stone Cold Steve Air McNair he certainly was more then just the BEST he was a BEAST he look more like a LB in a quarterbacks body without a doubt a 1st Round 3rd overall pick Alcorn State University by the Houston Oilers/ Tennessee Titans 1995 NFL Draft but in 1999 he was so close like so so close one yard close of winning his 1st ever Super Bowl Ring at the time vs Rams but that didn't stop from being the man in Tennessee cause he was definitely Mississippi Tough that's for sure but I'm hoping he'll be induced in the Pro Football Hall Of Fame I'm sure that he will be extremely real ecstatic and joyfull up in football paradise no doubt about it gone but will never ever ever be forgotten either 14:02
There was no guarantee that the Titans would have won Super Bowl XXXIV had it gone into overtime.
How TF is Manziel not the worst QB ever drafted by Cleveland. This isn't even a close call to make.
For Dallas, I'd say Steve Pelluer was by far the worst QB ever drafted by Dallas. The man basically ended Tom Landry's career.
Tony Graziani was way way WAY worse for Atlanta. Miller wasn't actually a terrible QB he simply played on terrible Falcons teams with terrible coaches and struggled with injuries.
And picking Rogers over Star is a joke created by recency bias. If the Super Bowl had been around all of Bart's career he'd have had 4 or more rings in his trophy case to Aaron's ONE ring.
Todd Blackledge is a degree of FAIL that's just on another level. Made even worse by the fact that the Chiefs could have picked Ken O'Brien, Tony Eason, Jim Kelly or Dan Marino instead!
Fran The Franchise Tarkenton was the absolute BEST QB with Minnesota after 3 trips to the Super Bowl in his Hall Of Fame Career 8:55
Tons of recency bias in these types of videos.
The facts that Rodgers vs Starr was even a question is beyond laughable
Yeah it totally should have been Starr. And if you don't think so it's because you probably weren't alive when he was still playing. If the Super Bowl had been around for his entire career the man would probably have had 4+ rings to Aaron's 1. Honestly I find it a little questionable choosing Marino over Bob Griese too but Dan did keep almost every passing record in the books for the better part of 2 decades so I can let that one slide. But no way is Rogers better than Starr.
@@ashleighelizabeth5916 Starr led the Packers to 5 championships. 3 were before the creation of the Super Bowl.
@@stevegallo8483 precisely my point....
This is how you know these people have no idea what they’re talking about. The fact they picked Tim couch as the browns worst qb pick is utterly asinine. The guy played on an expansion team that never cared about the oline and got him murdered. Oh and he is one of the now 3 QBs to take them to the playoffs in 25 years. They have no business making anything football related.
i have never been a cardinals fan, but i soooo hoped that josh rosen would do well, didnt happen to say the least
lmao at my Denver Broncos for their best QB drafted being Brian Griese :'D This team's incompetence to produce a QB is just brutal.
They were smart enough to trade for a rookie John Elway so it's not all bad. They also got to Super Bowls and won Super Bowls with other teams cast offs and over the hill QBs.
The Eagles honorable mention as best QB: BDN
I wish Mr.Fouts won at least one or Super Bowl Rings 7:44
I wish Fouts would* have* won at least one Superbowl ring* or more/multiple* rings.
Too much talent in at the position in the league when he was in his prime and too little talent surrounding him on his own team. If San Diego hadn't had to play Cincy in Cincy for the AFC Title they probably would have gotten to the Super Bowl vs the Niners but I don't think Fouts was going to get them past Montana and company.
Jamies Winston needed a better offense line because they couldn’t run at all
Browns worst was johnny mazel: 14 games played , 7 interception , completion percentage 57 percent. The cocky money sign doesn't work with the NFL because he didn't do anything.
Cade Mcnown and Rex Grossman were both much worse than Trubisky.
How dare you put Ken Anderson above Joe Burrow I mean look I love me some Ken Anderson, but how dare you put him above Joe Shiesty
Regency bias?
More success than Burrrake my wrist
Burrow is going into year 5, but he can (and likely will) pass Anderson.
Roger Staubach is a Cowboys Icon, Troy Aikman won 3 SB's, gotta give the nod to Troy.
I maintain that Lynch's lackluster performance is partly on the Broncos, since they can't develop a QB for shit.
Kyler Boller?!?!? 😅
Proof reading is hard
Omg I couldn't get over that one either . It's not like his name was written on screen of their video while they butchered it. Lol
You cant really take TPS seriously when they don’t know what they are talking about
Matt Ryan 2008 draft a 1st Round 3rd overall Boston College was the absolute BEST without question he really was the heart and soul for the Atlanta Falcons in 2016 NFL's MVP went to his 1st Super Bowl but lost vs Patriots in painful way after a 25 point lead 0:55
What a joke!!!! Couch was picked with nothing around him. Manziel, Quinn, and Weeden were all worse.
As far as best, even though I love Kosar, Graham was the best QB drafted by the Browns.
It's recency bias man. So many of these lists act like football was almost never played before the year 2000. Kosar belongs on the list for every teams most underrated QB but Graham was way better and I'm too young to have seen the man play but I've seen the archival film and I've read the record books.
Did the All-America Football Conference hold its own draft back in 1946?
Jim Kelly BEST going to all 4 Super Bowl's in the 1990's was really amazing despite all the lost that didn't stopped him from being the guy representing Buffalo & Bills Mafia 1:35
I agree
The falcons need their behinds whipped for losing that superbowl the way they did.#unbelievable
David Carr should have never started his first year with that horrible offense line
Tarkenton correction, he was fine in the playoffs, SB, not so much.
Kenny was never really given a fair chance with the Steelers, primarily because of the horror of Matt Canada's offense.
I'm pretty sure Tebow is the only QB drafted by the Broncos to win a playoff game.
Bro how was John Elway not Broncos best QB 💀
Technically he was drafted by Indianapolis and then his rights were traded to Denver
I was really young when Elway was drafted
@@samwilliams304 Technically it was still Baltimore back in 1983.
@@user-yq2zi5iz9i you're correct! I completely forgot about that lol
I thought Dave Brown was the worst QB pick for the Giants. He was supposed to take Phil Summs place.
Colts worst is John Elway who refused to sign with the team after being picked #1 overall in 1983 and forced them to trade him!
Mac Jones Should’ve been on here as worst draft pick for the Patriots.
Deshaun Watson over C.J. Stroud, are you crazy dude?
CJ is new let him cook. Plus before what Deshaun Cosby did he was decent with one mvp
I agree about Baltimore Ravens
No, Couch is not the worst Browns draft QB. That dishonor should go to either Johnny Football or 28-year-old-at-the-draft Brandon Weeden. People forget Couch joined what was basically an expansion team and had NO help, but genuinely tried. Meanwhile, Johnny had Josh Gordon and partied all day every day and tried to coast through the NFL. Difference is night and day, Johnny is worse.
Also
Remember those x namath threw 100 more int then tds
I can do this all day
As a Bears fan since 1965, how about 38 stinkers and 3 maybes 😂
I hate the Packers, but it seems like Bart Starr leading the Packers to 5 NFL Championships and 2 Super Bowl championships should have given him the nod over Rodger's pile of individual accolades.
I do not understand the hate on Tim Couch. The dude was handed a crap team and did what he could with it combined with injuries. Draft place aside, Johnny Football, Brandon Weeden and Deshaun Kizer were all way worse.
Plz this with WR
