    Sustainability Snacks is a series of short online sessions that aim to demystify sustainability in practice. In just 30 minutes, we will hear from a practitioner on how they are reducing their impact.
    This event is an initiative of EmAGN and SONA. EmAGN (Emerging Architects and Graduates Network) advocates for and supports architectural professionals within 15 years of graduation, as part of the Australian Institute of Architects. SONA (Student Organised Network for Architecture) is the student-membership body of the Australian Institute of Architects.
    Speaker:
    Andrew Barnes, a distinguished structural engineer, boasts over 30 years of industry experience, including notable contributions to landmark projects such as the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). Holding a degree in Engineering from QUT, Andrew has held leadership roles in various engineering firms, including Qantec and Qantec McWilliam. He has also demonstrated his commitment to heritage preservation through roles such as Chair of Engineers Heritage Queensland and membership on the Queensland Heritage Council for 12 years. Currently, Andrew serves as a Delivery System Leader and shareholder at ACOR Consultants, where he specialises in conservation and advises authorities on strategies for preserving heritage-listed buildings.
