Yeah, I'm sure. Without building one myself, which I am not real hip on modifying a piece of safety equipment and I would like for someone to tell me what I need as far as equipping a helmet and advising me on just what would meet my needs. So far, all anyone has been able to tell me is to go look at building one or going to ebay, but, I don't have a clue what I am looking at or what equipment I need. You can go to the Nvolo website and they have the same helmet minus the logos and vents. Incidentally, that price doesn't include the radios, and I have no clue about that. I understand Aviator will be offering a course on radio communication. So, I have a new paramotor and wing, but, no helmet.
lvsqcsl I have basically the same helmet (mine looks a lot better) for $260 delivered and I can pair with just about any radio, just buy the cord. My helmet has Bluetooth too.

When u mentioned the Icaro for 700, I was thinking you were going to offer a better helmet for same price.........not doubled!
I can not justify that price.

Wow, if that was the av band @ the 11:30 mark, it was not impressive in the least. Maybe I have bad hearing but I really couldn't understand what was being said through the distortion. I DO like the 2 meter capability though as I plan to use 2 meter to talk to base (When I start paramotoring).
More things I need.
The Baofeng radio transmits on frequencies that require a license to use, and FRS is not a 2m (144MHz) radio, but a 440MHz radio.
I know this helmet is getting a lot of hate for the price point, but I purchased one and received it today. It's gorgeous, and I can't wait to test out the functionality. I barely have enough time to fly as much as I want, and building my own helmet has always been a torturous use of my time. I would rather pay for a high-quality product, even if it is expensive, and spend more time flying. Thanks for all the work you put into this! It's literally a perfect fit for my head and my needs!
Was working on a reply to my reddit post on my purchase of this helmet...... but you got it right. The hassle I’ve had with my Icaro helmet, Sena 30, GoPro without out audio and not even considering AV band and Ham comms, I’ve already spent half the price of this helmet without completing the build. So, I am thankful this helmet is available. Yes expensive, but solves all the problems (I hope, just got it today). Beautiful helmet. Some have said I spent $600 more than necessary, but I believe what they are reviewing on NVolo website isn’t a complete build as Aviator has it. I’m completely ok with my purchase.
I love you guys, but do you offer a helmet that doesn't have the aviator logo shamelessly promoting on all sides of it? I know you're proud, but it's a little much.
Dont worry, you only pay them $1300 to advertise for them. Not bad marketing on their part. 😗
Will you offer just the commo set up (headseat) for those who have a great helmet but need the excellent commo system you have developed????
Didnt develop anything. Go to Nvolo for the setup. Most everything they sell is about a 2 second google search for 30-50%cheaper.
This is why people build their own helmets and trikes, way to much money. exp canadian dollars.

You said on the video you’re going to show us where to pick up the 2-m FRS radio and the icom a-14 radio i’ve looked in your description I don’t see anything showing where to purchase...? Also read the descriptions below everybody needs to just chill out this is a great plug-in go system with a beautiful looking helmet that represents aviation the venting is spectacular I’m definitely willing to spend the 1300
Hey Chris, apologies! You’re right. The newer Icom A16B is available on our website. For 2M we’re using baofeng’s off of Amazon.

P.S. I just ordered my deluxe helmet 30 minutes ago I can’t wait to put the package together it’s sure it’s gonna be nice not to have to worry about dripping sweat from my forehead every time I fly.

This is a clear case of lack of control during a development process, did you even try to shop around for deals on your components?
i think they just went for what is high-end and is stuff they actually use. all of which is already rather expensive in their own right.

@@StefsEngineering Ahhahahahahahaahaha!! Not even if it came with the radios. I hope that is a misprint on their part. You can get helments from NVolofor around $400-500 range and that bag and cables are worth another $700.

Questions:
* Does it have side channel (can you hear yourself talk)?
* Does audio from either radio come through both earphones simultaneously, or only on the side where the connector is at?
* BT is stereo for listening to tunes?
* Assume no ANR?
If I buy one and plug in my GoPro, will I get the same noise free audio as shown in the January video or is there post processing of the audio required?

I would pay $1000 for two helmets. Btw. I have been a HAM for 22 years, every time he said 2 meters and FRS made me want to smack him. FRS is in the 70cm band. They may know PPG but they dont know RF.

I find this interesting. I was able to get a Vittorazzi Moster 185 paramotor and a 28 meter Ozone Spyder wing. But, I have to cobble together myself the most important piece of safety equipment because no company makes ANYTHING with all the necessary comms, and mounts for cameras, etc. I guess what I need to do is sell all this stuff, go grab a beer and pull up Tucker's videos.
A) There literally is a company that makes that for nearly half this cost , NVolo.
B) the helmet is not even *close* to the most important piece of safety equipment

Sounds like only poor, food stamp, living off the government people watching this video. There is a market for high end helmets. Just because everybody in this comment section is complaining. $1400 is a drop in the barrel for a lot of people. Get off youtube and get a better job.....or a job for some of you.
Owe room for those junky go pros! Dont mess that helmet up putting a fish eye lense camera on it..use a real camera, that dont have that deceiving curve view..why do yall want something that curves all your great photos?

People complaining about the price...apparently haven't seen Travis and Kyle's expense report submissions from the England & Italy trip. Seriously, quality gear ain't cheap. Start out with a good helmet and cannibalize a good quality aviation headset for starter parts, add in a Sena and you're way more than half way there in cost. Engineering, labor and any sort of warrantee and this is a bargain, for what may well be the biggest single saftey improvement for any pilot currently flying PPG without any sort of communication gear.

Quality bike helmet = $39 + Sena TuffTalk = $399 equals a whole lot less than $1399. $1399 = no bagain and toooo much!
Todd, yes, but the nvolo has the gear for way less. Look at the markup of most everything they sell compared to any other dealer. Powerfloats for $340+ come to momd. Thats when nobody else sells them for more than about $250. Common for all their items. Just bout an ozone reserve, from a dealer for $200 less.
@@PPGMurse Not really big markup. nVolo dont make the vented except through Aviator. Plus the 3 different ways for com. Also paying for a brand. "Aviator". not much margins there
