Just when residents of the Aire Valley; like myself, though we were rid of the Class 144s…..two turn up at KWVR!! 😂😂 We can live in hope there’s no crazy plan to bring back to awful 308s….although that would mean electrifying the worth valley 😂😂
Well the class 308 only has 1 driving trailer that was preserved. As for the Class 144, I think it’s right that the KWVR have one as it’s right for the area. Also for during the off season it’s a cheap way of providing a service on the line.
@@smilerbull Totally agree. I remember the Pacer’s being introduced; & whilst they were they uncomfortable & far exceeded their intended lifespan, they did provide reliable travel across the North.
Me personally, I like them. They're a part of our railway heritage and the Worth Valley line is the perfect place to run one as they ran up and down the Aire valley line. I realise that they're not everyones cup of tea mind you.
A lot of it is good v bad memories from young. I remember enjoying 156 and 101 growing up and feel more nostalgia for them. Plus the HST in the swallow livery. Better times all round!
I'm not usually in to trains but this drove me loco 🚄

Not gonna lie, if I go to a heritage railway and there is a pacer at the platform, I’m going home
