This is a really interesting kit Joe. Love the way everything is numbered to help with ease of assembly. I looked this kit up and postage to Australia was more expensive than the kit itself so I will content myself to watching you bring it to life.
Ouch! I certainly hope I am delivering. I'm not much for being in front of the camera but I am getting a bit more comfortable as time goes by. I hope I'm not going to be spoiled when this kit is done and it's times to go back to other manufacturers.
Hi Joe, I installed the main deck planking directly to the deck. Establish a center line with the keel. Starting with the main mask planks, then two forward and two aft. The rest will fall into place. Noticed your stern deck planks are mis marked like mine. Install them in this order, 1L, 3L, 4L, 2L, 5L, 6L and 7L. This will keep the railing post even. Also, hold off on the mid deck installation until you have the main deck stained. Plus, consider installing the canons before the mid deck install. Wish I did! What a headache.
