Hi im going to try to replace front brakes and pads on my A6 tomorrow. I dont have tool for brake piston, can this be done with computer (VCDS) or do i need tool?
front ones you can press back even with regular lace screw, rear you need special adapter for that press + rear ones act like you press and turn same time thats why there is needed that press tool, those arent expensive but still, also good to have scan tool to drive epb back but can do other way i have video about it also. Fronts are just like most regular cars have only need to press them straight in.
I damaged one of the 4 caliper bolts when replacing the brake pads (the bolt was fused on with rust). I've been struggling to find a replacement - does anyone know the exact spec of these bolts? And thanks for the great video guide!
M14 x 1,50 thread, 35mm, you can use c7 audi one also but cut it shorter 1cm from length they come 45mm or get new bolt from some random hardware store but make sure it is at least 10,9 strength rating.
Best tutorial yet, really appreciate it! 🙌
Great tutorial man, thank you
