    I'm an independent filmmaker. Currently own BMCC 2.5k EF and MFT version + BMPC 4k. Considering quality of the image, the only cameras that can beat the beast are: Ursa G2 and Alexa.

      I think they are still fantastic cameras to this day.

    Great to see other people who appreciate this camera. I have given up chasing pixels for my work when everything is rendered to `1080p. I have two BMPCC OG's and a BMPCC 4K with all the cine lenses for them. I kept looking on eBay and scored a BMCC with MFT mount, cage, SSD, V mount battery, and a Rokinon 12mm lens (which I did not have) for $720! Now I can use all of my cine lenses across the range of cameras.
    I did find a deal on a BeachTek DXA-BMD new in the box for $80 and that provides phantom power to a shotgun mic. I shoot raw into Davinci Resolve Studio. Just a wonderful camera to have Love both the BMPCC OG's and BMCC images better than the 4K. Show us more on this camera. Thanks

    I appreciate your passion and efforts. But honestly, the test footage didn't do justice to this camera at all. I have seen incredible materials from the camera. But here, shaky and defocus shots make it impossible to evaluate details. Also know that unmotivated camera shakes can trigger dizziness.

    Great informative video. I'm very Old School, LOL. I grew up in film, from 8mm to 35mm, still love to shoot film, load the camera, set the meter, take a reading, set the lens and shoot. When I made the transition to DIGITAL in 2011, It was like teaching an elephant to learn tap dancing. My first taste was with the Canon 7D, for a documentary in France, then I bought another 7D this time a modified 7D PL Mount from FVG, because I had some great PL glass. Then the bug bit harder and I purchased a used SONY F35, an incredible camera for features and a RED ONE MX outfit, which also is fantastic. If you have a small crew these cameras are the best, but if you want to Run & Gun, you have a problem. I went out and purchased a BMCC 2.5K MFT mount, since I have 24+ Pre-1986 manual Nikkors Lenses. Great look because of the lead in the lens. The BMCC I use with the BM Handle Set the Aluminum one with the two upright handles and a 18mm Nikkor. Works well. If I have to rig it I use the base and rail system off the 7D FVG, works well. I love the MFT mount. Always nice to hear another fan of BMCC talk.

    Fact that BMCC MFT can not be found for sale anywhere, says a lot how good they are.

    Hello, just a question: Which battery from Zitay are you powering the BMCC with? on their web site, the only one powerful enough to power the 12V it needs, does not seem to have the usual DC in? Or does it? Do you use a 8.9C, 7.2V or 14.4V?

    • @CoreCreativeMedia
      @CoreCreativeMedia  2 роки тому +1

      Here is a link to the model Zitay battery I use. It was purchased to use with my bmpcc6k but I use it on the bmmcc and monitor instead. It's a 10v which is more than enough to power the BMCC.

    Great camera. Unfortunately for me I’ve had to turn it in for service twice to replace the dirty sensor protector glass. Other than that it’s been a beautiful experience.

    Could you recommend the best batteries for the older Blackmagic Cinema Camera 4K? Thanks.

    • @CoreCreativeMedia
      @CoreCreativeMedia  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks for subscribing! Yes I can recommend a few batteries for both the Blackmagic Cinema Camera 2.5k and the Blackmagic Production Camera 4k. Number one would be to get a V-mount battery but the down side is having to rig it to your camera which can cost extra money plus the Battery looking at $300-$600 USD. The cheaper and more efficient is the Zitay brick battery that I mention in this video. ua-cam.com/video/04z7zmu7slE/v-deo.html

    Hello Great Content, Have you, by any chances, some advice to train oneself to be good at follow focus ? I Have a DJI R SC2 combo with follow focus motor with a BMMCC on it and i struggle very much to do movements, framing and focus at the same time ^^

    • @CoreCreativeMedia
      @CoreCreativeMedia  3 роки тому +1

      One is shooting at a higher F-Stop when possible, You will get more depth of field so your focus will not be so shallow. Check out my other video where I use the BMMCC on the Feiyutech Gimbal with follow focus control. ua-cam.com/video/ugiyUp0p374/v-deo.html
      Shooting during the day at a high F-stop like f16 I think. Also keep in mind that your body is the focus not just the follow focus. For example if you are following someone walking make sure to maintain exact distance from then to keep them in focus! Photography lenses are not the easiest to focus they have very small moves to focal points so it does take lots of practice. And Honestly many times I have an assistant to pull focus for me on more difficult moves. I hope this helps. Look for new videos coming soon from the last commercial we shot with the gimbal and the BMPCC4k.

      Problem i have...
      1. China Taobao does not have much of these
      2. I have a BlackMagic Production Cinema Camera 4k... Can i still use 7v Power thou it says 11v to 30v Power?

    • @CoreCreativeMedia
      @CoreCreativeMedia  2 роки тому

      The 7v probably will not charge the internal battery very well and that Zitay will not last as long. If your purchasing in China you should check JD.com I know for sure that they sell the 10v there it will say for Bmpcc4k & 6k. If you need a link just ask!

      Don’t be, the 2.5k with speedbooster is a better overall version. If you need 4K you can take 2.5K to 4K easily with AI tools.

    what gimbal do u recomend for this cinema camera

    • @CoreCreativeMedia
      @CoreCreativeMedia  Рік тому +1

      I cannot recommend a gimbal for you. I can say that I tried to balance it on my Feiyutech AK4500n and hard a terrible time balancing it. But I was using a Large Cinema Lens but still under its 4KG weight limit. I have not tried it yet with small canon prime. My best guess would be a DJI MX that for sure can handle it but it is an older gimbal and you can find fairly cheap used. Personally I wouldn't buy a gimbal that cost more than the camera at this point. Don't forget to like and subscribe!

      I can't answer without seeing what is happening. Plus I don't use Premiere ever. Download DaVinci Resolve from Blackmagic non-studio version is free. If you persist on using Premiere check this video to see if its the same issue ua-cam.com/video/NtyO95WpHgA/v-deo.html
